Great, durable & comfortable backpack!

I have used NF backpacks all throughout my college career, but needed to upgrade my Borealis and my Recon to something bigger since I am now in law school. I carry A LOT of heavy stuff and this backpack is able to fit everything I need for all of my classes. I can fit several notebooks, casebooks, laptop, and random essentials, while still being extremely organized. I love how big the bag is and all its compartments to stay organized; however, I have one huge annoyance. No matter how much stuff you have in this bag, it falls forward and I mean every. Single. Time. I believe its from the redesign making the 2nd compartment smaller instead of going all the way towards the bottom making it tip over. I stopped putting almost anything in it to alleviate the problem. It has helped, but its still falls over constantly. Apart from that, it truly is an amazing bag and I would probably buy again, but it is very annoying. I highly recommend this bag to anyone that may be in school with heavy materials, you'll just have to deal with the falling over.

This backpack is perfect for all types of use. I am a college student and it fits all of my supplies from binders to pens to lotion and chap-stick. There are so many pockets so it is great for organization. My favorite aspect of this backpack is the water bottle holder on the side, with a strap to secure the bottle. This backpack can be used for daily commutes, hiking, and travel.

Love this backpack. It's really comfortable and has a ton of pockets. I love the fleece lined pockets for my phone and glasses. It distributes the weight of the pack very well. Bonus***the rose gold zippers are super cute!

Amazing and very comfortable. I use it for school and I can barely feel the heaviness of everything I'm carrying. Very nice.

I love this backpack! It's so well made - this is an additional backpack, I have the same one in black that I use for travel. I can't say enough about the quality and style- I am a business professional who dresses up for work each day and I can honestly say this backpack fits my style perfectly. I highly recommend this backpack- great fit for women.

This bag holds a lot! I've had my TNF Borealis for ~11 years and it's been through school, professional work, and has travelled alll over the world with me and is still in great condition, but I needed a bigger bag for grad school so I upgraded to the Surge. Free shipping was super fast, too. I've not had it long, but it fits a lot!!! It also fits my 16" MacBook Pro and my 13" iPad (in a keyboard case) in the technology pouch just fine with two huge textbooks + other smaller books in the main compartment. I wish the front little pouch was just slightly bigger, but that's just me being picky. So far great bag for what I need! I'm excited to travel with it.

As a graduate student, I have so many things that I need to carry with me all the time; my laptop, textbooks, articles, notes, you name it. This backpack has many pockets which really helps with organization. I love it and would recommend it to any graduate student (or student in general) who has to commute to school via public transportation!

My daughter has been eyeing up this backpack since it came out. After much consideration, because the price seemed high for me, I finally broke down and purchased. It came in quickly and she was thrilled! I must say I was impressed with the features, design, colors, and style. I was curious how the color would look in person (white/metallic/grey) because the pics didn't show it close up. I actually love the colors and think she did a great job picking it out. This will be a great high-school backpack for her!

THIS PRODUCT IS SO AMAZING. Before buying it I watched videos on youtube and looked at my friends bag (she had the surge) and it looked so spacious which is what I was looking for as well as stylish. I am in college and have 2 textbooks to carry around that are pretty big as well as multiple folders, a laptop, and chargers etc. Even with all those contents inside, it still fit perfectly and was comfortable. The back of the bag has an indention for lumbar support along with cushion that feels like heaven and thicker straps making the backpack feel as light as possible along with comfortable. To make it look girly I tied a cute little hair scarf on the handle.

This is a great backpack perfect for carrying the laptop into the office during the week and for short hiking treks on the weekend! Very versatile and durable design. It has plenty of room and is very comfortable to wear.

Everything is great about this backpack it has enough room and is light enough to not hurt my back while carrying it around.

My daughter uses the Surge backpack for school, so it def takes a beating.

My daughter tried this backpack on in store and loved it. It is roomy enough for all of her books without looking bulky. The heather grey color and pattern is adorable and the rose gold colored zippers make it pop. There are lots of pockets for small item storage and the water bottle sleeves are able to carry her large 32 oz. water bottle. We love this backpack and highly recommend.

This is a great backpack. It has plenty of room for my laptop, file folders, and therapeutic tools that I use with clients. It keeps me organized and I really like the classic, timeless look that a NorthFace has to offer.

This bag is burley! The fabric is high tech, the fleece lining makes it feel luxurious,m and all the pockets and storage areas are super well designed.
