This backpack is perfect for my high schooler. Roomy - holds lots of books, a Mac book, folders, etc. And it's very comfortable.

Got this for my college age daughter and she loves how much room it has and yet it isn't bulky

Got this as a gift to give someone. Came in the mail and I wanted to keep it for myself. The blue is such a good color and seems so sturdy! Love the lifetime guarentee as well. My boyfriend (who I gave it to) loves it! His last book bag (Swiss gear) fell apart in just a few months but this bookbag is so sturdy! Still considering buying me one as well. We're college students and they work wonders!

They last about 4-5 years with regular daily use.

This was bought for my daughter and she uses it for everything from traveling to school. She loves it and it's perfect for all of her activities. We have a feeling she will be using it for many years. Worth every penny.

Purchased for my 8 year old son who needed a backpack replacement. It is durable. Only complaint is that it is heavier and designed for adults, so the backpack is longer and bulkier. But am looking forward for him to grow into the backpack for years to come!

I use this backpack everyday for work. So far, it suits me just fine. It's not to big or to small. I love my north face coat, so I thought I would tryout the backpack also. I been shopping LL Bean for years, but I must say, NorthFace is a great product!

Work/Everyday use

Bought this backpack for my son for school. They do last and great for traveling too.

So far I have used this pack to haul around my laptop, camera equipment and for an overnight side trip. If it were just a bit bigger, maybe 21" x 14" x 10", it would still meet TSA guide lines for a carry-on bag and be large enough to pack a several days worth of clothing. I have had mine for two years. I have carried it to Ireland, UK, Australia and New Zealand, along with banging around the United States.

I use this backpack every day for class. Holds my notebooks well and has a great laptop compartment. Padding all around lets you know your laptop is safe from bumps and such.

Currently used for commuting back and forth o the office - the quality is hands down the best I've seen this far.

This is a great backpack for college students. It has a sleeve for a laptop and another for textbooks. It's extremely comfortable and will make carrying heavy loads less strenuous on the back and shoulder area. If you're looking for a stylish backpack with comfort, this backpack is the way to go (check out the Surge series if you're looking for a bigger pack). I also like the heavy duty handle on this backpack. This is in direct contrast to the Surge II series which is quite paradoxical. Borealis is a smaller pack but has a butter grip handle on the top.

I basically use this back pack for travel for a couple of days when I fly solo from state to state. I take this back pack to the beach with my stereo, towel, and change of clothes. This back pack works great for every use.

Comfortable and a good product name. I had my one before this for years, this is the upgraded verstion of that! I like the laptop pocket, it seems to protect well. Lots of space, highly reccomended.

I use this backpack for college and performs perfectly. It fits my books, laptop, and journals comfortably inside. I especially like the top front pocket where I can put my pen, pencils, calculators, or computer charger. I have also used this bag from a more travel-oriented perspective and it performed well there as well. I stuffed it full of books, clothes, my computer, and even had enough space for me to put a shopping bag in it filled with freshly bought items. As far as dealing with the elements it keeps the rain out and my stuff was kept dry and when it's hot the bag is built to vent air through between your back and the bag, so your not a sweaty mess. Overall this bag is worth the buy.

I bought this for my 12 year old son after the previous backpack self destructed just 6 weeks into the school year. He had a lot to carry each day, including a school laptop, several heavy binders, and a water bottle that he carried separately. The Borealis is lightweight and gives him better support, plus the interior compartments help distribute the weight more evenly. He loves it! Plus it has a pocket on the side that holds his water bottle perfectly, leaving him one less thing to have to carry.
