I love these shoes. I need a wide foot bed for bunions, so I decided to take a chance & order a half size larger than my normal 8, as some 8s have been a little too narrow for me. Glad I did, as they fit perfectly. Very comfortable, good waterproofing and fairly light weight. Have ordered other waterproof boots from LLBean and have to say these are by far the best.

This shoe has a slim profile, compared to other trail shoes I've worn. It hugs my foot...in a very good way. I also appreciate the quick tighten/quick release of the lacing system. Comfortable from the moment I put them on; comfortable when I take them off hours later.

I love this shoe. I purchased the Merlot/Sapphire originally because my husband liked the color. However, after I got them and tried them on, I absolutely loved the color and the fit. I purchased these shoes to wear to Seattle, WA and Idaho during their rainy season. First day off the plane, it was raining. My feet stayed nice and dry. They were comfortable and supportive during all the walking and hiking we did! I actually wear them more than any of my other shoes. I have received so many complements!

This is a very comfortable low hiker. I have a high arch, narrow foot and need a good toe box for my hammer toes. The foot bed offers wonderful arch support and cushion, seems to run narrow (which is good for me) and has a good toe box. I bought the 9 1/2. They fit perfect but when hiking I was afraid my toes might get sore on any descent should they prove a little too short. So I ordered the 10. This actually feels a tad too big. The 9.5 fit perfect. BUT, because I had bean bucks I actually got 2 boots for the price of one, so I"m keeping them both. The size 10 will allow for a thin liner under thicker socks, which is the combination I like to wear when hiking. Love the color too.

This is an excellent, waterproof walking/hiking shoe if you do not need a little extra room in the toe area. I really liked the design and the "give" I felt while walking around my house, but the shoes were just too narrow for me. I gave these Oboz an excellent rating because I genuinely believe it's more my feet than the shoes that were the problem.

After having to send back the super cute Bean sneaks because of an uncomfortable right foot, I was hesitant to spend $140 on these. However, these are simply the MOST comfortable shoes and cute to boot! That said, they're not boots even though they are categorized as such. They are more like a cross between a cute sneaker and hiker. I'm not a hiker and I will be using these for urban wear and walking. The tread is for hiking and holds up in mud and snow. The ankle is very supportive without rubbing or discomfort. The toe cap is sturdy but the shoe overall is lightweight. I'm normally between a 6.5 and 7, I got the 7 so I would have enough room to wear thick socks if necessary. Couldn't be happier with this shoe.

I reluctantly bought these shoes. I thought, okay another pair that I will not be happy with ! Much to my surprise, I was wrong. I wore these new Oboz shoes to work the first day I received them, but threw another old pair in my car thinking I would have them as a back up when my feet started hurting me. (I am on my feet all day with my job along with a lot of walking.) All through out the day my feet felt wonderful, and I have worn them every day since at work. There was absolutely no breaking in period, no blisters, just two very happy feet. I definitely will be buying myself another pair, just waiting to see if they will come out with the same shoe, but in different colors. I honestly can say that I have never had a pair of shoes that felt so good on my feet !! I can only hope now since I have only had them about 1 month, that I will be as happy with them a year or two from now and that they will hold up !!

I absolutely love these shoes. I have been loooking for a while and these are perfect. So comfortable and sturdy but not too heavy.

This is my third pair of the low rise hiker (I call it that). I have two pair of the same shoe and the 10 I got is the perfect size for me but the 10 1/2 was fine and I wore it all day the first day. There is no break in period. This color happens to be really pretty and I have had so many compliments on them it is crazy! "I love your shoes". I wear them to volunteer at the hospital, on coffee's with friends, to the gym, walking to town and shopping. I wear them whenever I want stability and that is all the time. My go to shoe.

Exactly what I needed, and stylish too! The best of comfort/practicality and attractiveness. Very comfortable and flexible for someone who sometimes has trouble tying shoelaces and sliding foot into a shoe. Plus the grip on snow and ice... just perfect!

I had tried another brand, then another Oboz and neither was comfortably fitting. Then I tried these Sapphires and was almost not going to keep them because the top part around my ankle on the right foot was stiff and poked a bit. I really liked how sturdy they seemed and the red was really pretty so I wore them in the house for a few days and they began to feel somewhat better so wore them on a 3 + mile hike and they were improving a bit more. I wore them on three more hikes and was good. I just came back from a trip in Washington state, wore the the whole time and now they are fully comfortable. These are cute, sturdy and can be worn from casual uses in town to hiking. The waterproofing was a need for me here in Alaska. I ordered them a half size up which worked before with my Oboz Bridger high hiking boots I like very much so did the same for these which I now like as much as the Bridgers.

My daughter and I both wore the Oboz Sapphire hiking shoes while hiking for 5 days in Yosemite. They were sturdy and waterproof while at the same time light enough to wear all day and to wear while driving the car. Highly recommend!

I have been on quite the adventure finding the right shoe for day hikes. This is it. I had to size up by .5 (I'm usually an 8, had to get an 8.5) I have to have a little extra support when it comes to my flat feet. I've tried other Oboz, ones that go over the ankle, etc., but this style, in this particular color is the only one that fits like I need it to. The other colors available in other stores just didn't feel the same. I just tested it out in an easy day hike after a full day of rain and they were great, and rinsed off well with the hose. Not sure if they're heavy-duty enough for longer trips, but the fit of the shoe can't be beat! One odd thing, the right shoe has a piece that pokes the top of my right foot, but if I smooth it out a little before leaving, I don't feel it.

Great toe space, nice fit. These shoes are waterproof and have amazing grip on the sole. My only suggestion would be that I can feel the sole... the ridges and bumps... through the insole. This won't be a problem for me since I will replace those with custom orthotics, but it seems to me the regular insole could be a bit nicer.

After the first day with a blister, these were great to walk around town and on trails. I chose them over Keens, which I have loved for years, because I was hoping they would keep out grit and icy bits when there is slush or debris on trails. I wore the Keens year-round, with warm socks in winter, no problem. My feet have been freezing cold in these a few different times. I think they are not breathable, despite the description - my feet get sweaty, my socks get a little damp, and then my feet freeze. I hope they will be good in warmer weather because for damp (not snowy) winter walks they are disappointing. The four star review is with hope warm weather improvement. Otherwise, a 3.

the tongue is not as comfortable as the previous shoe I owned I really find the shoe comfortable, the issue with it is you MUST spray it with a waterproof spray or it will NOT stay waterproof. they start to turn dark around the ball of my foot if I don't keep them sprayed

I really liked these shoes, they seemed comfortable right out of the box. But the sides came to close to my ankle bones and I was afraid it would rub and cause sores. It might be fine for other, just not me. Hated to send them back.

These are great quality shoes that I'm sure will serve me well on my daily dog walks. Their waterproof feature is a lot better than my old Salomon's that supposed had Goretex my feet stay totally dry when walking across a wet field. They also have nice traction. The reason for 4 stars and not 5 is that the Oboz are pretty stiff. I've worn them every day for about 10 days and they still feel like they're not broken in. They don't conform to my feet like Salomon's do, and they're not buttery soft but at least my socks don't get wet.

I like the fit of these hiking shoes and the style. They seem true to size. The one thing I would change is the tongue, it is too thick and feels a little awkward.

These hiking sneakers were immediately comfortable and required very little 'break in' time. Great fit and they were perfect for hikes and walks through the woods, even in wet terrain. Never tested in very wet weather. Very pleased with my purchase!
