Overall, I'm pretty pleased with these shoes as my first pair of hiking boots. They fit my feet well, had good ankle support, and the laces don't come undone. (I have not felt the need to double tie them). I haven't tested how water-resistant they are so I can't comment on that. I wore them for about two week to break them in, but I honestly didn't notice a difference from the first day to the last day. I have not gotten blisters from them. Typically, I use these for day hikes.

I LOVE these hiking boots! They are comfortable as well as cute, and they stood up to hiking in Yellowstone without any issues whatsoever. The salesman kept trying to steer me to a heavier boot, but l am so glad l stuck to my guns and got the boots that felt the best! They did not disappoint. I would definitely recommend them.

I have a narrow foot and it was a little difficult to find some boots that fit me well. These fit great and are very comfortable on hikes.

This is the second pair I've bought. They were initially recommended in store for their comfort, light weight and ankle support-all perfect. I bought this second pair online and there were two improvements. They went from one eye hook to two-making it easier to put on and take off. The laces are also improved-shorter and tougher. There was only one color choice of blue with purple which is ok, but I wish the brown ankle padding was prettier.

These boots are lightweight, comfortable and cute. I have worn them on one hike so far, and I am pleased with them. They seem quite waterproof, and the padding around the ankle is great. I will review again as I wear them more if anything changes, but right now I would recommend them.

This walking boot is extremely comfortable and is exactly what I was looking for. It's perfect for all kinds of winter weather. Worn with L.L. Bean wool socks, I found them to be very easy to walk in and very comfortable. I normally wear a nine but always go up a half a size in sneakers and boots as I wear a thin insert. The 9 1/2 is perfect. I'm very happy with this boot!

I ordered these because the other reviews said this style runs narrow, and I have narrow feet. I ordered a half size up because other reviews said the shoe size runs small, and having done so, the shoes fit perfectly. Wonderful, light weight but not at all flimsy, waterproof yet breathable. Great color. So pleased that I ordered another pair. If your feet are on the narrow side, this is the boot for you-- just order a half size up!

Comfortable boots with good support. Size up at least 1/2 size from your usual. Well made and attractive. Do order some new laces for skinny eyelets. Found the original ones not quite long enough.

I have a really difficult time finding shoes or boots that fit right, don't rub, and are comfortable for long walks / hikes. As soon as I took these boots out of the box, I had a feeling I was going to love them. All the padding around the tongue and ankle, the amazing comfy insole, the color -- all FABULOUS. And comfortable from the minute I put them on; now I've got several miles on them. I love them so much I just ordered the low-cut Oboz boots for walking back roads, so I don't wear these out!

I love these shoes, but with the heavy socks I wear, I should have bought a half size larger. Sorry you are out of stock on my size ?

These were for my wife, who is VERY picky, especially about comfort. In fact, she has never worn a 4.5" hiking boot because she was convinced it was rub on her ankles and cause pain. She loves everything about these boots, from appearance (just enough funky without being too masculine, extremely comfortable.

Awesome Hiking Boots. I have ankle problems & these boots gave me the confidence to move forward without the fear of turning my ankle. Beautiful boot too.

Wearing them 11+ hours a day at work to break it in has been fine. Not a ton of walking yet but plan to wear on a several mile hike. The shoes appear to be more narrow than avg on the outside but fit fine and I am consistently 8.5 in size. The shoe is very lightweight but stiff like work boot. I might not have enough room to add a padded insole. Got dirty the first day so wiped with a wet rag. Dirt came off easy but pink coloring from the leather came off as well. Will update review if needed.
Delivered a day early.

Shoe /boot fits true to size, very comfortable. It's my 2nd pair of Oboz, love these for hiking and even wearing around town. The brown with turquoise blue trim is super cute and nice pop pf color. This is a solid boot with good sole for hiking, I've tried the lightweight athletic-type hiking boots but I prefer a more traditional hiking boot.

Love Oboz. This is my second pair. They are comfortable right out of the box, love the brown color with turquoise trim/laces. They felt true to size, I always wear 10, even with hiking socks. I tend to have a narrow foot. Thanks Zappos

Normally a size 7.5 and decided to get an 8. Fits perfectly with a thicker hiking sock, so I would recommend upsizing a half. I need a wonderful arch support and these delivered! Overall it’s why I picked them over another brand. They definitely took a few days to break in but my first real hike with them was in CO through the mountains and a ton of snow. Completely waterproof in my opinion (as I think the description states) and held up so well. WORTH the money. Don’t let it deter you from a comfortable boot! I also tend to have a lot of ankle instability and they have a great ankle support.

Fair warning, I am writing this review without having taken these boots on the trail yet. That being said, I so far love the fit of these as I have very narrow feet and they fit like a glove. If you have wide feet, this style might be problematic (it's even tight for me to get my feet in at the opening!). Seamless Zappos' exchange process with great customer support -- I should have listened to those reviews that suggested sizing up a whole size (I only size up by 0.5 and it was too tight at the toe box). I can already tell I will agree with other posts about not being able to drive in them due to the ankle support. I usually wear Super Feet insoles in all of my athletic shoes so I am excited to see how the Oboz sole goes!

Great hiking boots! They do feel a bit narrow, but they probably just need to be broken in a little bit. Really cute, and I love the unique color.

I am typically a 10.5 or 11, decided to stick with the 11 on this particular pair of boots to allow for a little room when hiking downhill and thicker socks. I've worn a few times already and so far so good. They aren't super warm, but they aren't the Oboz winter hiking boots that are lined. They offer good ankle support and feel supportive all around.

These are great boots; nice looking and very comfortable from the first wearing. Based on other reviews, I ordered up 1/2 size and they fit perfect. I am a very picky buyer so when I keep something, it is amazing.

I have an incredible hard time finding hiking boots for my wide feet that fit well with a footbed that also works for me. I must have tried every boot in the store... These Oboz were the only ones available in wide sizes that would fit my wonky feet AND did not look like I was wearing my grandma's orthopedic shoes ... I wore these boots on all kinds of trails ... no break in period, comfortable right out of the box, no tubing, no blisters, no more knee pain or ankle issues or tired feet. I bought more Oboz insoles for other shoes and the insoles seem to be part of the magic ... I also like that the Oboz are not too heavy or stiff. They come in colors other than brown and tan which is refreshing. I have wide feet with short toes a high span and medium arches - so far I have put about 50 miles on these shoes and they are still as comfortable as the first day ...

Loved them and wanted so badly to keep them. The quality is top-notch, the toe box wide and comfy, medium arch support - all around super nice! Only problem is my ankles rubbed badly when I first tried them on. I was afraid they would not wear in enough to not be a problem - so they had to go back. How sad am I??

These shoes have the potential to be very comfortable. They are not sturdy hiking shoes, but should be OK for some moderate hikes. They run small.

I ordered these because of good reviews. They're great. Took no time to break in. They aren't clunky, but they're very warm and not hugely wide. I don't have "narrow" size feet, but a narrower heel in these is helpful. I am often swimming in hiking-style boots.
