My favorite socks. I own three pairs of this style/color. The cushion support is fantastic and comfortable. These do not have the habit of slipping down while being worn. We have all switched over to Darn Tough socks in our house.

I bought these for an upcoming trip to Alaska. I havent worn them yet, but I tried them on and theyre very comfortable! I have big calves and there were no issues pulling them up and they didnt feel too tight either.

These are wonderful. I was looking for heavy duty really warm socks for a very cold (think -40) upcoming trip. Im confident that these will keep my feet warm the whole time.

I knew I wanted a taller, warmer sock for my current PCT hike, and Darn Tough's online sock experts gave me the background knowledge to land on this informed decision. I needed to optimize the weight-to-warmth ratio for a camp sock that would dovetail with my 3/4 length wool baselines and this was the perfect choice! So snuggly and not stinky yet.

I did not think you could get any better than previous purchases...but hands down this Mountaineer Over the Calf sock is THE BEST!! With having "fat" calves these hit the mark. They go all the way to the knee, stay up continually and keep my feet warm. Just ordered 2 more!

So warm and cozy! Unfortunately too long for me as they go up over my knees so I will return for the shorter pair instead

This is my favorite sock for snowshoeing and winter camping. I love that it's cushioned and warm, but my feet don't get hot even when I'm sweating with exertion.

Wow. These showed up in the nik of time. Our temperatures went well into the negatives and my legs and feet stayed warm. Waiting for warm weather to wash them. Hahaha

Ok I have a thing about socks. I walk a lot. I run when I can. I wear through sock heels regularly. My feet get cold easily. I live in an area with tough winters. I also knit, so I know what goes into a sock, and I am always on the lookout for good ones. One of my pet peeves is the difficulty in finding socks that are long enough for full coverage under a tall boot, long enough to bridge the freezing gap between short boot and hem of coat. These? Sublime. They came last week and have already seen me through a hike in a snowstorm and a long weekend afternoon lounging around a house with chilly floors. It doesn't hurt that the heels and toes are in one of my favorite colors. I love them. I will be back for more.

These socks keep me warm at work all winter and at home where I get to wear them with boxers and laze by the wood stove.

I love these socks. I was afraid they would be itchy, but they are not - just very soft and comfortable. They also keep my feet warm! I will definitely purchase more pairs for myself and have bought my husband some for work already. He loves them too!!

I wish I could give this sock a thousand stars. Does it cost more than I usually pay for jeans? Yes. Is it worth that? Yes. I have slowly collected enough to wear a pair every day in winter. I am cold constantly without them. I didnt realize I was losing so much heat through my calves! I dont know what Ill do if Darn Tough even shuts down. These are one of my main winter survival solutions.

I just ordered my second pair of these amazingly warm socks. I am a winter hiker and these are my go-to socks when the weather is especially cold. Highly recommend. Great foot/leg coverage!

We bought these for my wife who is working as a deckhand on a boat in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, where it gets VERY cold in the winter. These socks are thick enough and come up high enough to keep her feet and lower legs toasty during frigid days. Will be purchasing more!

They are thick and well padded. Great for the comfort of tall boots, or any boots that may run or hit on your shin causing discomfort after awhile.

Buy the darn socks, you wont regret it. I started wearing them for hiking and they dont disappoint. Super soft and cushioning. They offer great support.

I am very satisfied with these socks. They fit perfectly, and are so cozy warm and comfortable. We are having 19-20 degree weather right now and my feet and legs don't even know it when I go out to milk our goats. These are my very favorite socks and I'm so glad I have four pair!
