I wanted to love this shoe but it just didn't fit right. There is so little Velcro in the adjustable band which is a common complaint from other reviewers. Why so stingy on the VELCRO Clarks??? Did you run out of Velcro? Is there a shortage somewhere! :( Overall it is a comfortable shoe and cute but the lack of stability from the Velcro makes this product a 3 star product at best.

This was a sandal that I wore straight out of the box and never looked back! No adjustment period or anything! I have bunions, so I have to pick and choose what will fit and the semi stretchy material in the top straps conforms nicely. The wide cross-cross straps also give the illusion of a narrower foot and the back heel strap is easy to adjust with plenty of room. I know others have complained about the price, but I would always pay a bit more to wear something this comfortable. I would also like to see this in a darker tan. Winner, winner.

I was so excited to find these and so disappointed when they arrived. They are falsely advertised: the straps that go over the foot are not "elastic" at all; there is no give in them whatsoever. If you look at the underside of those straps, it's not the same elasticy-looking material as on the tops (as the photo I provided shows) and whatever it is, it isn't elastic and it doesn't stretch at all. I've worn Clarks for many, many years. I bought these, precisely for the elastic, in my usual size, and had to force my feet into them; they looked like dough expanding out of the pan. What's the point of a "wide" footbed when the straps that go across your feet aren't commensurately wide? I think Clarks are skimping on material to save money and passing off shrinking shoes as "wide". Absolutely did not work for my wide, high-arched feet. Returning.

This sandal is exactly what I had hoped to find; classic black (no flash or other adornments) comfortable, dress up or down and enough heel to wear with a skirt/dress, but not too much to wear with shorts. The only "issue" and I believe it has been addressed in other reviews is the lack of adequate velcro to tighten the back/heel strap. Since I liked the sandal so much, I just took them to the local shoe repair store and asked them to add some velcro to the strap. They did it and problem solved; I can now adjust the strap as needed. Yes, a bit of a hassle to have to take new shoes for enhancement, but in my opinion truly worth it.

I love these shoes - have 2 pairs. They look great with both pants and skirts. They also have good support (I'm flat-footed so need good arch support.) If they came in other colors I'd probably get them too. My other favorite summer shoes are the Arla Jacory, which are very similar in fit and feel - have three pair of them

I tried to accept that there isn't enough velcro to fasten it with more than 1/4 inch. Not enough!!!

My first pair of Cloudsteppers and I love them! Just received them today, I've been wearing them since the arrived. The black elastic strap has some stretch to it. And they ARE cute!

Thanks to Zappos free and easy 365 day return policy, I bought these shoes in hopes they would fit. I ordered one size up from my usual, and they fit perfectly. Not only that, they are extremely comfortable. I was having pain in my toenail and wanted an open toed shoe and I did not want the pressure of a thin strap between my toes like flip flops have. So I was very satisfied with my purchase. I always trust Zappos to take care of me since I’m rather hard to fit and please regarding shoes.

These just arrived and are totally comfortable on my difficult feet I went for a 7 1/2. The advised size was 8, but I chose the smaller size, because my "difficulty" has to do with an old injury which became a huge bunion & it looked like these sandals would not bother it. That hunch was right... the soft, thick sole just cradles your feet. I also find them stable with good arch support. They have not left my feet since they arrived.

These were very comfortable! I am returning because I got another similar pair and wanted to compare which were better for me and the arch support in the other brand which I got in my last order with Zappos was greater and so I chose the other brand. But please do not hesitate to try these as they are VERY soft and comfy!

I liked the shoe but returned it. I would have preferred it to be a true navy rather than the "heather."

I wear a size 12 and have problem feet. This sandal not only came in a large enough size, it was comfortable and the elasticity of the straps didn’t bother my bunions. I usually wear custom orthotics and though these do not have quite the same amount of support, as long as I am not on my feet all day, I think there will be enough support for my flat feet.

I ended up returning these only because they were a little wide and my feet pushed forward. Narrow was not available. Too bad, they were really comfy.

Comfortable enough and fairly squishy, but definitely more narrow than expected for the wide width. The straps are in no way elastic. They look elastic, but do not move or stretch at all. I was expecting more of a Bernie Mev sort of elastic stretchiness (of which I have a pair and would totally recommend!). I’m glad they run a little large, or I would have had to return for the straps being too tight and too pinchy. On the other hand, running a little large makes them way too big in the heel and the tiny scrap of Velcro makes it impossible to tighten enough. Overall, they don’t hurt my painful feet even after hours of walking...they look cute if you’re into bulky shoes, which I am...they’re light and flexible and squishy...if only the elastic was stretchy, they’d be perfect.

I thought the bands across the top were elastic they are not.

I almost kept these shoes because they are very comfortable. And they were definitely wide enough and they looked nice. But the velcro was not positioned very well on the adjustable strap and I could not adjust it to fit me. Also the big black straps start a little far from the tip of the shoe and I was afraid my foot might actually slip forward and over the top edge. They looked nice but they definitely have a relaxed beach bum look -- nothing glamorous about them.

Problem- no adjustability and if you do not have a fat forefoot (don't know how else to say it), then this shoe does not support that part of the foot and there is just too much give and risk for me. The shoe is quite pretty and if you do have a hefty forefoot, could be perfect for you. Realy nice looking but unlike Alegria in most shoes, there is not any adjustability in the forefoot.

Lots of cushioning but not much arch support. I thought the cross straps would camoflage my bunion but they didn't. The gray footbed against the black straps looked a bit sad. I returned them.

Love, love, love these shoes. So comfortable and versatile. They wear out relatively fast, but worth the trouble of buying a second pair at this price.

I have been looking for a shoe like this for a long time, an this one is everything I needed an more, I ordered another pair the same day I received these.

This was my first Clark's purchase and I am quite happy with them. They have good support in the arch yet cushioned. I have Happy Feet when I wear them!

I have ordered several pairs of these shoes; have given some as gifts. These are the most comfortable, yet dressy-enough shoes.

These shoes are the best. Unbelievably comfortable from the first time I wore them. Why have they been discontinued?

Fit perfectly and look great! What more could you want?

LOVE these sandals - I ordered WIDE and they fit perfectly - cannot wait to wear them when it's warmer!
