I just got this in the mail, bought it last weekend in the Summer Cottage to match my big, red Samsonite. I have not used it yet, but it seems like the perfect size for carrying on. And as for the trolley sleeve, it fits perfectly on my F'lite GT 30 in Samsonite handle.

I needed a duffle bad or small suitcase for school because the choir I am in travels ALOT! Having the two choices of carrying it is great too! I love all the pockets! I can fit 2 sets of clothes, 2 pairs of shoes, my straightener, can if hair spray, Vera Bradley's large make up bag, and even more. I can fit my glasses case, contact solution bottle, a hair brush, and a few other things in the outside pocket. This bag is perfect for overnight trips and the three day weekends I go on. Doesn't take up too much space either (we travel on a charter bus and can't have a huge suitcase)! I got mine in Lime's Up and I absolutely love it!

I never write reviews, but after buying the weekender I am in love with this bag! I was hesitant to buy it, in case it was too small- but it actually fits way more than I would have imagined. I overpack for every trip I take, and this would almost fit a week's worth of clothes (and shoes!). I was easily able to fit several outfits, two pairs of heels, two pairs of flats, a curling iron, straightner, a kindle, and still have some room to spare. I would definitely recommend this bag- it fits plenty and is extremely easy and comfortable to carry!

I was expecting this to be a great bag, but it is even better than my expectations. I ordered a bag for me and for each of my granddaughters. It holds so much and has so many pockets. There is room even for my Kindles in the inside pockets. Love the new feature that lets it slip over the handle of my luggage. If you don't like that feature just slip stitch the bottom of it. Would definitely buy this product again. I also purchased several pieces to match in the Priscilla Pink and love them all.

Ryan Air and other discounter airlines are SUPER STRICT now with the carry on allowances and THIS WEEKENDER IS THE SOLUTION! The bag itself weighs almost nothing with EXCELLENT interior organization and a nice long adjustable removable strap. I can do a 2 night/3 day weekend almost anywhere with this baby. The outside front zipper holds my tickets, ipad and charger cord perfectly, The interior back wall holds shoes, quart bag approved toiletry kit with comb & brush, the front wall pockets perfectly organize lingerie, socks, makeup/ jewelry/accessories and the VB travel umbrella. The roomy main compartment holds the VB medium and small packing cubes,my fav travel style crossbody purse and my Sony Nex 6 camera with an additional lens, charger & a small care kit . All the misc cords & iphone charger go into a utility zipper pouch which tucks in beside the umbrella. This all fits with a bit of room to spare and weighs EXACTLY 20 pounds...leaving 2 pounds available for a souvenir or two returning home. I sling the long strap crossbody for ease in carrying/boarding, trains, buses, taxi's & walking , etc to stay hands free for other things. When I do have a checked bag, the slip pocket on the back easily fits over my double handle rolling bag and VB pop of color brightens the basic black of the rolling bag! I am now a HAPPY TRAVELER ! THIS BAG IS PERFECTION AND SOLVED THE PROBLEM OF LOSING PRECIOUS WEIGHT TO A WHEELED CARRY ON...THANK YOU VB FOR THIS DESIGN GIFT FROM HEAVEN !!!

I purchased this bag to use as a ballet bag. And let me just tell you IT IS BIG!!!!! (Wonderful for me) I can fit a Large Cosmetic, a few other small bags, leotard, tights, skirt, 3 pairs of canvas shoes, muscle ball (dryer ball), warm-up jacket, and a heat pad. This thing is AWESOME!!! I have had a Small Duffel for several years and I am NEVER going back. Thanks Vera for this WONDERFUL product!!

We often fly to cities that aren't what you'd call major cities, which means we're often on the smaller, regional aircraft. When I first read that the Weekender fit under an aircraft seat, I was a bit skeptical that it would fit under the seats of all the types of aircraft we fly. But this year we have made many trips to smaller cities, requiring 2 or 3 hops to each city, and I want to assure anyone thinking of taking this as their carry-on (I always have to check a much larger bag), that the Weekender will absolutely fit under any seat. In fact, even when we have sat in the front row of our section (where normally they won't let you have anything on the floor until you reach approx. 10,000 ft.), I have found that I can tuck this under MY seat. (Yes, it bulges out a bit, but not enough that I've been told to move it.) And I still mange to put my own fairly sizable purse off to the side of it. Inside it, I have my iPad (tucked in its own slim Tablet Hipster), my headphones, which are stored in a rather large case, a large water bottle, numerous snacks, several magazines, the VB Mini Chain Bag (minus the chain, carrying all sorts of items a woman might want in the restroom), the Mirror Cosmetic with small sizes of everything I might need by way of skin care for the entire day, a full-sized hat that can be rolled up, a lightweight sweatshirt, my 1-qt. clear bag of liquids to go through security (which I keep in the outside pocket to access quickly), and my camera in its case with all accessories. It probably sounds like I'm advertising for VB, but I'm not--it's just that identifying these pieces by name gives you an exact understanding of the size of what all I fit in there.

I bought the weekender a week ago and absolutely love it! It has already been on a trip and comfortably fit all my clothing for 10 days in it. The pockets in the bag are so convenient for holding extra little things like a cosmetic bag. The front pocket also is convenient for holding electronic items like your tablet, iPod or phone. So happy with this Vera Bradley product! Will have and use this for many years to come!

I'm in middle school and I recently bought this bag in Sun Valley with some of my Christmas money. I LOVE this bag, and I love the print even more, it's just too cute! It's my go-to bag for sleepovers, school trips, and any other short trip. It holds so much stuff-I can say that with 100% honesty because, well, let's face it: I'm a teenage girl who overpacks for anything and everything, meaning that I'll throw in an extra pair of shoes and a sweatshirt and a ton of other random stuff that I never end up needing. The bag has a nice, hard bottom and a lot of (but not too many) inner pockets perfect for holding the little things that you need easy access too, like sunglasses or a hair brush. The size is just what I need; I have the large and small duffel bags which are, quite frankly, either too large or too small for my short trips. Overall one of my favorite VB bags!

The weekender is an awesome bag for a Cary on for the plane or for a get a way vacation. Has plenty of space so your items won't be crushed. The strap to put around the chest is great when you get tired of carrying the bag. Overall this was a awesome investment because it comes in handy during the summer.

I just purchased this bag in Midnight Blues while traveling. This is my first Vera piece and I love it! Not so big that it breaks your back when packed, and perfect carry-on. I travel for business and found that this fits in the overhead bin and/or under the seat. The loop on the back fits the handle on my luggage perfectly making it easy to stack and transport. The pattern is beautiful-chose it so it would not appear soiled so easily. I was so impressed, that I went to this website and ordered the make up and jewelry pieces to go with it!

This bag is a wonderful carry on for a short trip! It holds much more than I thought it could with room to spare. Light weight and spacious it is a must buy!

I purchased the Weekender in Ellie Blue online. I love it. It is well made and holds alot. It holds everything for my husband and me for an entire weekend, including his shaving kit and my large VB cosmetic bag, (excluding our pants, shirts, skirts, etc. which go on hangers). It has a large zipper pocket outside on one side, 2 large slip pockets outside on the other side, and 4 large slip pockets inside. There is a removable piece of hard plastic that slips into the bottom to make it more sturdy. The adjustable, web fabric carrying strap can be removed and you still have two sturdy handles for carrying. I have not washed mine yet so cannot attest to that aspect of the bag. This is a wonderful piece of VB to own. You won't be disappointed.

I originally asked for a different Vera bag for my birthday from my son and he got me the Weekender. I am so glad he did!! I love it. My daughter used it for a weekend and like it so much she bought one. Her friend liked it so much she bought one.

I just purchased this bag in Jazzy Blooms. I used it this past weekend for a weekend trip across the state for our Nieces wedding. WOW! It fit everything plus much more that I needed for the entire weekend. It is a great bag for either overnight or a few days away. I would recommend this bag!

When on the hunt for the perfect travel bag, I knew I couldn't buy another tote nor rely on my backpacking gear to do the trick. I originally went with the large duffel, but it was just too large! Then I found this. The weekender is perfect for 3-4 day trips easily. It's carry on friendly, has a padded shoulder strap, and handles too. Not only is it a great size, but there is compartment space on the side, and pockets on the inside and outside. While the large duffel is great for major traveling that requires you to bring everything, this does the trick for shorter get aways. Very happy :]

My husband got this for me during the Mother's Day event, and I almost didn't get it for I have a huge Dooney & Bourke duffel bag, as well as VB Forest duffels from college that I love to use when I travel. But I like luggage and I like to have options so wear isn't always done on one bag. I am happy to say it's TSA & carry on friendly! This bag held my clothes for the weekend, plus some laundry I needed done, before heading back to work. Noticed at least 6 other women in Midway with the Weekender in other patterns... Now I'm hooked back on VB and looking for some other pieces in Suzani to finish me off. I think my husband is regretting this purchase for I've already bought my daughter some pieces too!

I recently went on a choir tour in Europe for two weeks. Since our main luggage was inaccessible all day, I pretty much lived out of this bag since our main luggage was in storage during day travel. It comfortably fit a change of clothes, a few books, my performance outfit, music binder, two water bottles and snacks with room to spare. I also used it as my only carry-on. It had no problem fitting it in overhead or under the seat storage compartment on airplanes and busses. The outside pocket made my passport, important papers, and wallet easily accessible during border crossings. The inside pockets kept all of my miscellaneous items organized. I'm a pretty small person, but I had no problem carrying this bag around with me everywhere I went. I also plan to use this bag on weekend trips home to visit my parents or our cottage. I love this bag and would definitely recommend!

I have MANY Vera Bradley bags ranging from any size duffel in multiple patterns to luggage and totes. This is by far my favorite piece of travel from the company. It is the perfect size for a weekend getaway, or if an extended stay is in your future, it is a great carry-on for any items that you NEED to have with you in case of a lost bag. When not traveling on a plane, but going on a long road trip, I use the weekender to hold all of my make-up and hair product needs and tools. If you are looking to add to your collection, I highly recommend this bag. Now I just wish Vera Bradley would bring back the pleated tote....

I'm traveling to Israel in a couple of weeks and only just learned the maximum size of carry ons can't exceed 17 lbs. Since my carry on empty weighs 17 lbs., this created a dilemma. I searched all over online to find the weight of this bag and the Grand Tote, but to no avail, so with luggage scale in hand, found it at a local store and weighed it . . .1.9 lbs empty. Can't ask for better than that. No problem packing all my necessities and valuables for this flight. I love all the pockets, both inside and out. It will meet my needs perfectly.

I debated between the Weekender and the Grand Traveler. Like you I read the reviews on both and am so glad I got the GT first. You'll love either bag! However, I'm an ample packer and have used the Grand Traveler twice now for two different weekend trips. The Weekender would not have been big enough. I also have/love the Grand Cosmetic and it fits in the Grand Traveler along with my clothes - never would have fit in the Weekender. I may get the weekender too at some point as a smaller carry on for plane trips-magazines/snacks/charger cords, etc. but if this is your first bag, go for the bigger one.

I purchased this bag in Jazzy Blooms about six weeks ago and I love it! I travel fairly often, and this is the perfect size to use as a carry-on. I also spend a couple nights a week at my boyfriend's, and this fits everything I could possibly need for over night, with room to spare! The inside pockets are great for smaller items, such as medicines (the bigger one fits a whole bottle of Nyquil), contacts/glasses, hairbrush, etc., so they don't get lost among clothes or other larger items. And the outer zipper compartment is great for easy access to travel size liquids when flying. Originally, I purchased this in Plum Crazy, but it was stolen and I had to get a new one. I highly recommend this bag!

I got this bag to add to my large duffel for traveling purposes. I like to have a separate bag for bath essentials, blow dryer, hair products, etc. This bag is perfect for all that plus lots more. This was my second VB purchase and I couldn't be happier with it.

I just recently purchased the Weekender in Plum Crazy and I LOVE it! I really needed new carry on luggage and this fit my needs perfectly. I have this big, bulky camera bag and my 15 MacBook Pro and I hated that my camera bag counted as one of my two carry ons. I couldn't fit my bag into any bag I had because it was just too big. I saw the weekender and I thought I could probably squeeze it in. When I brought it home, it fit BOTH my camera bag AND my laptop with room to spare! It was just what I needed that way I didn't have to shove my purse into my suitcase. I was completely pleased with it. Definitely worth it if you're looking to travel in style!
