This bag can hold about 5-7 days of clothing and other travel necessities. If you're packing lots of thick sweaters or jackets, it probably won't work for a longer trip. I've taken this bag as a carry on three times on Frontier airlines and it works with their strict dimension policy (even when jam packed). I love all the pockets and the little slip sleeve to put the bag around the handle of a suitcase. 10/10 would purchase again!!

I travel often for work and I depend on my weekender as my second allowable carry on for flights. It's roomy, light and durable. It's one of my two go bags. I gab it and go. You cannot go wrong with picking this one.

I travel weekly for work, always checking in my HEAVY rolling suitcase. I fly out on Monday and home on Thursday. Purchased the Weekender and able to pack three days worth of clothes, pajamas, extra pair of shoes, make up. I no longer check luggage. Between my laptop case the Weekender, I am able to pack everything I need and carry on. The Weekender is soft and pliable and can be stowed easily under the seat - even the Canada Regional Jet and Embraer Regional Jet (small plane- 75 passengers. The Trolly sleeve could be a tad larger for the larger handles on laptop bags or suitcases.

I've used this on many weekend trips and it fits everything I need. I'm a pretty organized packer but if I'm going to be gone more than 2-3 days I use my Grand Traveler. On trips that we fly I use a carry on suitcase and use the weekender as my personal item. My chargers all stay neatly organized rolled up in interior pockets, I put my iPad in the exterior zip pocket, my purse and whatever else I want to keep with me goes inside the weekender. It slips nicely over the handle of my carry on suitcase making it really easy to zip around the airport. Then on the flight home I check my suitcase, use my purse as my personal item and my weekender, stuffed full of my souvenirs, becomes my carry on item. I really like this bag. I find it extremely versatile and I've gotten a lot of use out of it.

I went back and forth on what bag to get, between the weekender and the grand traveler. I am so glad I bought the weekender! The bag is bigger than you think, I was able to pack four t-shirts, four pairs of shorts, nine tank-tops, one pair of jeans, one pair of yoga pants, two pairs of shoes, and my straightener. I still had plenty of room to add more!! I am so happy with this product and glad that I didn't get the bigger bag. This bag is a must need for travelers.

Love this bag as a carry-on as the trolly sleeve makes it so easy to get through the airport. I also have a Metropolitan bag and would love to see it come back in the newer colors. It is really the ideal size as a carry on.

I used this for a 5 day stay with my grandparents and it fit all of my clothes and cosmetics! its perfect and i highly recommend!

Perfect for your weekend get away especially if you are a generous packer. I recently went away for a bachelorette party I carried two plastic jewelry cases the length and width of the weekender plus pjs and two outfits only trouble I had was with shoes but granted if I didn't take the cases it would have fit perfect if your looking for more then 2 days or are a heavy packer go with the grand traveler I have both pieces incase I need the little bit of wiggle room. I love the weekender bag. It is extremely functional for tons of uses. Not too big, not too small. I bought this in summer cottage. Only thing I would add is a side pocket for a water bottle. Otherwise, very nice!

I received my travel bag and I certainly am one pleased lady. The bag is wonderful and the colors are bright. The price was right and I love the fact that it fits over my suitcase handle without any problems. Although, I have not taken my yearly plane flight I'm hoping the bag will be alright when boarding, I'm hoping it isn't too wide for the aisle. This is the perfect bag for all my needs and I'm sure I won't have any problems packing it full for my trip. Thank you VB for thinking of your customers.

This bag is great, but it's not quite big enough if you're sharing it with someone else. However, when its just you, its great!!

This bag is amazing, seriously amazing.. if you are on the brink of buying this bag JUST DO IT!! This bag holds an extra outfit, my 13inch macbook inside of it's case, my iPad mini in it's case, my quart sized toiletry bag for TSA screening, my makeup bag which is large (over-packer problems), my brush belt for my makeup brushes, my large wallet, a bottle of water, and my large Vera Bradley makeup bag with my phone charger and Macbook laptop. The Vera Bradley weekender has SAVED MY TRAVELING LIFE and the sleeve fits perfectly on my 21inch Olympia roller suitcase (I think if you were trying to slip it on anything other than a carry on sized suitcase it would be a tight fit). I don't know how I traveled with just a backpack before this. JUST BUY IT!!!!

I recently used my weekender on a family trip to Fort Myers. We stayed for 8 days and I was able to pack 3 pair of shorts, 3 sun dresses, 1 pair of pants, 5 t shirts, 2 swimsuits and pajamas. It was packed full, but it was able to hold an entire week worth of clothes. It is carry on compatible which is essential for me. Very pleased with this purchase!

This bag holds more than just the weekend essentials. It's truly spacious, durable and so beautiful. The inside pockets are deep and roomy for extra things to be tucked away neatly. This bag is just the best!

love love love it i got this in island blooms and used as a carry when i had my one month Australia trip it was perfect because i could just hook it on my suitcase and go! when I'm not using it it sits at the top of my closet and holds all my other bags overall this is a wonderful bag

I am in the Army Reserves and I LOVE this bag for drill weekend! It holds my work uniform, boots, toiletries, pajamas, and two sets of civilian clothes with ease! Awesome as a carry-on as well. Let me tell you; I can't count how many times I've flown through Chicago on orders and have had them 'lose' my bag. This baby ensures that I AT LEAST have the bare essentials to get me through the 48-72 hour period without the rest of my clothes/uniforms. I would highly recommend this bag!

This bag is roomier than the dimensions suggest. I wanted something to use for weekends, but also a lightweight bag that could crush under an airline seat or in an overhead bin. This fits the bill. I ordered the Grand Traveller first, but it is far too large for a regional jet. I also like that the Weekender has a zippered outside pocket for tickets, a book or umbrella. Great bag and stylish, too.

I received the Weekender in Sun Valley for free, my husband won a trip to Jamaica through work. His company sent out a care package 2 weeks before our trip. Upon opening the package I saw the bag and fell in love with it. Just a few more days for our trip and I can't wait to use my new bag.

This bag is perfect for travel and overnight trips. I recently went on a vacation and this was an amazing carry-on! I fit a snuggie, flip flops, change of clothes, uggs, kindle fire, over ear headphones, and an iphone in this bag. The trolley sleeve fits perfectly over the handle of my luggage so it was easier to carry, but the crossbody adjustable strap has a little fabric sleeve that you can move for more padding. It is also great for overnight trips, with the perfect amount of room than before, when I used the large duffel, which left me with half the bag left for an overnight. Overall, this is a great product, super sturdy, and i love it and can't wait to use it more!

I absolutely love this bag. I'm using it as a diaper bag, and after that it can definitely be used as a travel bag. I chose this bag rather than the actual diaper bag because it has a large should strap that can fit on my stroller. I love the large zipper pocket in the front--it's perfect for my wallet , keys and phone. There are also 2 large pockets in the back, as well as 5 inside!! Absolutely perfect for holding bottles, wipes, etc. I have never been more organized. I definitely recommend this bag. I've already received so many compliments.

Just got back from a long weekend and used my Weekender travel bag. It was the perfect Purse plus. Totally fit under the seat, had room for all I needed (including some things for my daughter), yet was not bulky. The outside sleeve is perfect for sliding over my carry on handle, thus securing it. Am buying one today for my daughter who traveled with me and wished she had one (Merry Christmas :-) )

This bag is perfect for the frequent traveler. I just went on a trip and brought the following things in it: 4 shirts, 2 pairs of capri's, jeans, pj's, full size toiletry items, makeup, flip-flops, iPad Mini, Kindle Touch, unmentionables, sweatshirt, and more that I can't think of!!! This is not too big and not too small...just perfection!! I got it in the color Provencal and it is much prettier than the picture shows. I haven't used this when flying yet, but it tucks away perfectly in the trunk of a vehicle without using much space at all.

Just came back from a cruise and was so pleased to be able to use my weekender as a carry on and purse for my trip. It has an outside zipper pocket for passport and plane tickets. Also, had room for my wallet, and my small cosmetic bag. This eliminated me having to keep up with a purse. It fit on my rolling luggage for easy handling. I love my Vera Bradley bags and this was a hit for me as a carry on. I also was able to get several items I purchased while on my cruise inside this bag, not adding to the weight of my checked luggage. Love love love it!
