While I am not crazy about the looks of this hat on me, it does a great job of protecting me from the sun. The brim is quite wide, protecting my shoulders and neck. It's also quite comfortable.

Good size and color. Use when I walk or garden. Perfect for my needs.

I love how the dark colour under the brim makes it way easier to read without glare. Be aware that the sand colour is a very light sand colour, like off white sand...the kind you love on a beach kind of sand.

Ive been hunting for a lightweight, packable, easy-care sun hat for the beach, with an adjustable chin strap, that will provide enough protection and stand up to beach breezes. This looks like what I need, but I won't know how it actually does until after an upcoming trip. I'm hoping the floppy brim will stay down. The style isn't as cute as I'd like, but thats not as important as functionality for me. I really like that the hat band is adjustable with a cinch at the back, as I have a smaller head, and also that the inside of the brim is large and dark, to shelter my face and reduce glare. The quality is very nice, as I've come to expect from this brand. Another thing: the fabric is smooth, which is important to me. I'm done with straw-like or scratchy materials that absolutely wreck my curly hair. At the least, I know I'll wear this a lot around town or in the yard. So glad to have found it here, and great, quick shipping by Zappos!

My 80 year old Mother loved the had. I had a matching one she liked on me so I purchased her one for Mother's Day. She often reads down on the dock.

Another adorable ladies hat from OR that fits larger heads. I purchased this one along with the Delray Sun Hat (see my review) and decided to keep both. This one will be great for the baking hot summers of the BC interior, and the draw cord at the back will let me tighten as needed for windy days. I purchased a Large (my head measurement, measured loosely, is 23.5") and it's perfect. I did try an XL but it was clearly too large. Cinching the draw cord made the brim bend in a weird way, but if you have a head measurement of about 24" go with the XL. I also like that this hat will float and has a dark underbrim which is great for glare. You also can't beat the pricing. I also own a Tilley but find their hats just way too hot for our summer temps.

Great sun protection without being too hot. Great for canoeing, hiking, watching sporting events or lounging. I lost my original hat which I used daily for 3 years. It still looked new. I was worried when I purchased it because it was white but it washed like a dream. Needless to say, I was delighted that I was able to replace it.

This is my go to hat when I need protection from the sun. It's the only hat I will wear while camping because of the large brim and comfy feel. The fact that it doesn't flap up in the wind making you look like an awkward sailor makes it the BEST HAT ever for canoeing!! I've bought multiples in different colours for fun. Buy it, you won't regret it!

I've purchased 11 of these hats in red or fuchsia, and wear them for sea kayaking. They provide great sun protection, the bright color makes me more easily seen, they stay on in high winds with the chin strap, and also stay on when rolling the boat. This color does fade from constant exposure to sun and salt water, which is the only reason I buy new ones. Otherwise, they're made to last. The 12th hat is turquoise, for wearing off the water.

I love my new hat. Although I've only worn it once, for sun and wind protection while out rowing, i found it extremely comfortable. I bought a size small and the fit was still a little big for me, a perpetual hat problem for me. What saved the day is the drawstring in the inside rim of the hat. This hat is perfect for what i bought it for, sun protection while on the water. I am sure it will be used hor hiking and as a travel hat as well.
