I received these as a replacement for a faulty pair of a different style. These are the best boots I have had to date. Comfortable right out of the box on my difficult feet (wide, bunions, high instep, prone to tendonitis) and totally waterproof. Thoroughly tested in the English Lake district! Highly recommended.

I bought this last week. First used it on a 9 mile hike (Old Rag Mountain) two days ago. A bit heavy (for me). Very sturdy. Protect my feet and ankle before, during, and after the 9 mile hike. My feet were fine the next day - no sore feet/ankle. Waterproof! True to size! I purchased 8.5 thinking it'll be too tight while wearing thick socks, but it's not! Still a bit room left after wearing socks. Great buy! :)

I bought these boots two weeks ago for a hiking trip in Fernie BC. I love the high ankle support, the lock mid lace up, light, and very comfortable to be in for hours. I would recommend these boots.

After my first pair of these boots took me on so many wonderful adventures, I reluctantly retired those boots and bought another pair. My second hike out to the desert these boots did not disappoint. No blisters, heat or pain. I love this boot and this is definitely my go to for trails. I always recommend them.

So right out of the box ... I hiked 6 miles on day one, followed by two 9 mile days. Took a day off then hiked a 16-mile day. Steep, rocky terrain all four days ... 15 lb. pack. I did not get even a trace of a blister or hot spot with brand new boots! Unbelievable! Comfort is off the charts. Snug in the heel and ankle, yet roomy in the toe box. The soles are super rugged and grip like velcro. So I'm in these super stable heavy-duty backpacking boots, but they feel so light and nimble that I started running downhill like I was in trail running shoes! Unbelievable. I bought this and straight away it felt amazing. So comfortable. Really sturdy, feel very protected. Waterproofing is great, tested in the river and it was dry!

I bought the Quest 4D 3 GTX W because I needed great ankle and footbed support. It took a couple of hikes to get everything adjusted And now I love them and won't hike in anything else!

I received these boots one day before going on an eight-mile hike through heavy snowfall and my feet stayed completely dry with absolutely no hot spots. I would definitely recommend these boots to any avid hiker.

Carol and I are both on our third pairs of the Quest 4d boots. The medium weight and great fit make them our choice again. I have been in Salomon Nordic ski boots for more than 35 years and hiking boots almost as long. They just fit me well out of the box. Salomon also has a better fit for women especially if you have large feet. Many women's boots are not made for US sizes larger than 10.

The Quest 4D 3 GTX women's boots are excellent! I purchased my pair in February and hiked up several mountains in winter, spring, and summer. I love the stability in the ankles and toe protection. Whenever my toes accidentally hit rocks, I thank myself for buying these boots. The durability gives me the confidence to hike up rocky terrain, step over branches, cut across tall grass, and walk through shallow water. I was apprehensive about spending the money, but now I thank myself for the investment!

I purchased these last September for a trip to Adak Alaska. I only had a mile or two of walking on them to break them in. 4 days and 53 miles later in a very wet environment in Alaska my feet were dry and no hot spots. Simply the best boot I've ever worn. They are my go to boot for hiking or hunting. By far the best boot I've ever worn!

Have had several pairs. The most comfy boot out of the box. the only knock I have on them is Hunting hard for 2 seasons I seem to always break through that GTX lining.

The first pair of this model lasted me many years with great comfort during long hikes. I have now purchased a second pair and am settling in them very comfortably. These boots are ready to go from the box and provide comfort and support as well as a good grip on various surfaces.

I have been using these boots all winter, and while they aren't winter boots, my feet have stayed dry and warm all season. Plus, they have a very stylish design

These are my go-to boots for Grand Canyon hiking and backpacking. The Canyon eats shoes, and even these only last one year's hiking, but while they last, they are like personal armor for your feet, no matter how rough the trail--or non-trail!--or how heavy the load--60+ lbs on a couple occasions! The large toe-rand and high collar guarantee a smooth, supported ride.

Love them for hiking in snow covered trails. They have excellent grip and quite often allow for hiking without spikes for traction. I hike a lot, this is my second pair of the same boot.
