I wish I'd paid attention to the reviews that said that this style ran large, because it sure did. I normally wear a size 8.5 and in this shoe I needed a full size below, 7.5. Once I did get the correct size, the shoes fit like a glove. They provided just enough stability for a hike I took to McCloud Falls near Mt. Shasta, that involved hike and some bouldering. They held my ankle stable and my foot snug without chafing or too much pressure

I love this shoe! My 6th pair. Right out of the box and the first steps on the trail feel perfect as always. If you like a nice roomy toe box (like Keen, Birkenstock) these are the shoe for you. All of my other shoes are size 9/40.5 but that size in a Solomon is too big. So this is the only brand of shoe in which I wear an 8.5.

These were so much better than I expected! Perfect right out of the box. No need to break them in, no blisters, just sheer comfort. I bought these basically for city hiking/touring and light hiking. I wear them everywhere-even to the gym. Very supportive and comfortable!

I LOVE these! I went with Zappos size recommendation and ended up ordering a half size smaller than I usually wear in a running shoe and the size was perfect. These have excellent arch support and were extremely comfortable out of the box.

I’m hard to fit—foot somewhat narrow and very thin. This is my third pair. They are perfect right out of the box. Not stylish and not goretex (I live in the desert) but great day hikers.

Salomon used to have an open roomy foot bed but that is not the case for these shoes. The recent pairs I have purchased have all be more narrow , hurting my pinky toe. very disappointing.

Definitely worth the money! Most of the reviews said that it was bigger lengthwise by a half inch, which if true, fit my size 12 feet perfectly! My toe doesn't hit the front at all with a little wiggle room and room for a thicker sock if necessary. Feels alot like a hiking shoe/sneaker but was pleasantly surprised how great they feel. One exception was the inside heel area. felt a teensy bit narrow around my heel, but it slowly starting to feel like my feet are getting used to it. I can wear them all day and never want to take them off! I also like the cord pull instead of shoelaces which i didnt think i would like, BUT as it turn out, its great,...pull it up, slide the toggle down, tuck the exce4ss in the little pocket on the tongue and GO! easy-peasy! I wish the came in more colors but the darker blue, (or is it black???) looks nice with denim. SO, to sum it up,...buy them and you wont be sorry!!

The arch digs into my foot. Not comfortable due to this. Have to return. I have other Salomon that I love.

These are good hiking shoes, but they didn't quite fit right.

Great shoe, but definitely order a half size under your normal size.

Love these shoes! Comfortable and great for walking. They may run a bit wide, as I have wide feet and the medium is fine. I will buy another pair if they become available

I found this shoe to be very comfortable but it ran a half size to a full size too large.

I finally found hiking boots that I love. They aren't too heavy and are comfortable. I like to do short and long hikes and these help me get though the long ones.

I'm normally a 41 and these fit perfectly. Salomon's fit my narrow fit perfectly because I can cinch the laces. It's my fourth pair. Looks-wise, they're not as fun as some other brands but fit is most important to me.

I need a wide toe box so I was a little worried they would not be comfortable. But they fir great and are now my go to daily shoe. I had an old pair of these that I liked but recent reviews said the newer model was narrower. Not so.

A few years ago my podiatrist gave me a list of shoes that are well-suited for my feet which have issues. The Salomon hiker fell into that category . The shoes are very comfortable and literally require no break in for me which means they are the perfect shoe in my book ! This is the third pair of similar models that I have purchased. I wear these trail hiking and also casual walking

so comfortable and light weight, no breaking in needed! First hike the shoes felt so good and the traction felt very solid! This will be my go to brand for now on!
