Habe den S/Lab ULTRA vor drei Wochen gekauft und seither 5x getragen. Dabei unterschiedliche Untergrnde, von Wald bis Alpine, trocken und nass, und bin absolut zufrieden. Der Schuh hat gengend Dmpfung, aber trotzdem guten Kontakt zum Boden. Die Fhrung des Schuhes ist hervorragend. Ich bereue den Kauf nicht und kann den Schuh weiter empfehlen.

Having used the first sense ultra and been suitably impressed (apart from the heal wearing down very quickly) I could not wait to try these. I have to say I'm VERY impressed. They fit like a glove and almost suck your feet into them; I ordered my normal size and have had no issues. My first race in them was Transvulcania18 and they were awesome, simple as that. Well done the team for coming up with these!

The S/Lab Ultra simply does it's job well and for a long time. It's my new go-to shoe for whenever I just want to run and play in the woods, regardless of pace. Now, I should note that I did develop a pretty bad blister on one heel and the start of one on the other. I assume this is because the shoe doesn't perfectly conform to my foot shape. I used some blister pads and that took care of everything on the next run. Given time, the shoe will likely break in some more and the pads won't be necessary.

If my Speedcrosses are Monster Trucks then these S-Lab Ultras are Ferraris. Great on mostly dry trails that are the norm here in Southern Arizona. Theyve done fine in wet conditions, given that the mud isn't to extreme. They've held up well so far, but, I will not be surprised when the toe box starts getting chewed up. Not a lot of protection there.

This was my first pair of SLAB Ultras and I took these away to Chamonix to test them on the mountains and various terrain, I was pleasantly surprised by how comfortable they were considering I were a higher drop shoe for trails normally. The cushioning is a lot firmer than I am used to but I dint have any issues with my feet/toes whilst running in them, I found the lock laces super beneficial and helped with the lock down whilst climbing up and running down. the weather was thankfully sunny with clear skies but once I reached the top it was still covered in a good amount of snow, I was worried about the traction/grip on this shoe and if it would hold me through the snow and it did! I had to get down through old ski slopes which where covered in melting snow so this was challenging enough without having to try and keep the traction on point but with these shore I didn't have any issues with them at all.... I mean they aren't fully compatible with snow but for what I had to trundle through they did the job well. Also my feet where pretty much dry, they got a little damp from the snow coming in on the top of the shoe but otherwise my feet where kept as dry as they could be. The traction was great on dry, loose rocks and the flexibility in the forefoot was good when running down on jagged rocks, the only challenge was on flat slates which where quite slippery but I don't think any shoe would be able to maintain on these! Overall 55km done in three days and I have happy feet :)

Got a pair week ago and already fell in love with them. Classic s-labs with bit more cushioning and great support. The new lace system is ace even when it took me few days to get used to it. Tested on rocks, snow, mud, water and dry trails. Perfect performance, not to mention the colour!

Dieser Trailschuh ist jede Empfehlung bis jetzt wert. Leicht, schmiegt sich um den Fu an wie ein Handschuh, direktes Laufgefhl, top Gripp. Das Material ist auch noch perfekt Wasserabweisend. Nicht mal Einlaufen musste ich die Schuhe. Fhlte mich von Anfang an pudelwohl. Nur grer muss man die Schuhe kaufen, durch den engen Schnitt. Habe normal 46, hier bruchte ich 47 1/3. Bis jetzt hab ich den Kauf nicht bereut.

So comfortable as soon as your foot is in the shoe. The foot hold provided by the wrapping panels offers a great fit. Bit heavier than i'm used with Salomon, but needed for extra durable midsole material. Grip is great, and its looks awesome!

Great fit and comfortable, the new ultras have hit the nail on the head with its secure and comfortable ride. I want to put my running shoes on and not have to worry about them or think about them and these do exactly that. On and off the road the ultras are great

Habe den Schuh seit ca 6 Wochen in Verwendung - ca. 250 km gelaufen - ist der absolute *Hammer*! Toller Innenschuh, Schn?rung sitzt perfekt. Laufverhalten ist ein Traum: guter Gripp, toller Halt und Superperformance.

First-time buyer of Salomon shoes. Was seeking the fit of a slipper (i.e. no hot spot chaffing), the protection of a tank (i.e. feel no rocks), the cushioning of memory pillow, lightness of a feather, flexibility of a yoga master, touch of finger tips (i.e. feel the trail contours) and durability of a trusty old coffee maker. The 2018 S/LAB Ultra comes as close as I've ever found to fulfilling all these demands. In a word, amazing. I've been ultra running for decades and this is the most excited I've ever been about a shoe. It is a difference maker.The lace system is fast in/out and the new top tuck pocket (used to be bottom up) is Simple and completely hides the spare lace and cinch down. AND as a bonus, these drain immediately and dry remarkably fast. Soles are very 'grippy' so I use for mountain terrain as well as smooth trails. I wore exclusively for a mountain 200 miler and was blown away at the consistent comfort and durability. Con: price. Yes, the price is steep. But given how much time we spend on our feet this is not an area to compromise. Fits .5 size (US) smaller than other Salomon styles so if you're normally a 12.5 order a 12 in these.

Great shoe, easily broken in and very durable during a 74 mile Trail Ultra Race in the North Georgia Mountains.

I loved the earlier version of this shoe and used them for ultras ranging from 50K to 100 miles. This version fits perfect through the mid foot and is slightly more narrow through the toes. It also improves a few features like the additional forefoot padding and lateral supports integrated into the lacing system. I just raced Georgia Death Race in these without any issue and plan to use them for an upcoming 100 miler as well.
