I've run a through a variety of brands since I've been in the Army and my Salomon boots have been the most comfortable out of the box. The grip is consistent in dry and wet, and the shoe moves amazingly with my feet.

Bought a dozen pair of these for a senior manager group meeting - went out to hike Big Mt. Si in North Bend, WA, an 8 mile round trip, 3000' elevation climb. Super comfortable with great sole support for the rocky trail.

I bought these boots for a first time ever hike through Patagonia. Since I was going to be trekking on glaciers (with crampons) I really needed something comfortable and durable, not to mention waterproof. These were perfect. I do have a really wide foot and usually use a 9.5 W in women's shoes, but have difficulty finding shoes that fit well. So I ordered these in a men's 8 wide US - Not the most beautiful color, but good for trekking! They were very comfortable - no blisters or soreness and I wore them for hours right away. These are the first "hiking boots" I've ever worn and they were great!

I bought these 2 weeks before a 50 mile backpacking trip and did minimal breaking in (wore to work at an office job). I didn't have a single blister throughout my hike and my feet stayed dry. The aggressive tread is what convinced me to get them and i have loved them since and plan to buy another pair as soon as my current pair is worn through. The shoes are a little on the narrow side (i've had no problems other than just loosening the laces) but other than that these are great boots. Comfortable, dry, great grip, great support, durable laces.

I have a number of Solomon boots and shoes. I've never been disappointed. Highly recommend them.

This is a very comfortable and light weight hiking boot Great grip on wet surface and stayed pretty dry considering the amount of rain we were in. The break in time for these boots was very short.

I have bought these boots many times before. Being from Vermont and managing a Courier Depot, I am always on the go. These boots are lightweight, easy to walk around in, not clunky and so comfortable. They keep my feet warm and dry, even when i use them to snow blow the driveway. Can't say enough about them.

I bought these to start hiking in N Ga. I love the way they feel. I have done a couple of short hikes and my feet feel great.

These are my second pair and they are awesome best hiking boots hands down

I bought this boot after reading reviews from others about the fit and comfort and also about the quality of Salomon boots. I hike and scramble in extremely jagged, rocky terrain and my previous Merrells although comfortable do not last. So far these appear to have a much better sole and are absolutely a joy on my feet. I feel extremely confident that I am less likely to slip or fall due to the aggressive lug pattern. After about 50 miles I have noticed some separation of the band above the heel, but this has not yet affected the integrity of the boot and if it does prove to be a problem, the boots have a 2 year warranty. I will definitely purchase Salomon again.

I started with the Quest boot about 7 years ago and still have 2 pair that I wear in really brutal weather (love'em), but bought my first pair of the Ultra GTX 2 years ago. Had a last minute trip to the Goodwood Festival of Speed and wanted a boot that was lighter than the Quest but still had Gortex for the lovely English weather that was bound to be even in June. The weather let me down (80's and hot sunshine) but the boots didn't. They gave great breathability in the heat as I ran up and down the hill starting bikes. They literally are like wearing a pair of good runners...which raises my only complaint. After a week of using them in that capacity..a LOT of running, the soles were worn a good bit. But hey, that's a compromise I can live with. Just replaced those with another pair last month and kept the first pair as work boots. These are the MOST COMFORTABLE boot I have worn, and believe me I have worn many in my career in the military as well as the civilian side. I HIGHLY recommend them for light to medium duty in heat, cold, and wet!

I purchased a pair of these with the specific goal of doing the 3 Peaks Challenge in 24 hours. I love the Salomon products and this is another great addition to my kit. I have spent circa 40 hours wearing them to break them in and whilst it does take a while to get used to them they are extremely comfortable. They are very robust and pairing with a suitable sock these are going to be perfect for my intentions The goretex works perfectly as I have used these in all weather conditions and the grip is and fit is fantastic in both uphills but even more so when on a descent. You will always compromise a small bit of breath ability when adding goretex to a shoe however I would on these keep the goretex and take the compromise. I love Salomon's quicklace system and this is the only item I would look to change on these boots for quick on and off. Another Salomon product I would happily recommend!

Being an x marine I've tried and used many boots and these are excellent, changed the laces to elastic and no problem after with feet expansion during summer walks . Had mine for three years now still going strong . Always reproof every year to keep goretex at its best

My husband loves these. They are very comfortable and fit true to size. He wears them quite often in the rain and it keeps his feet dry. Definitely recommend!
