I've had the boots for nearly a month and have put approximately 50 miles on them. They are more breathable than the other pair of salomons that I have (can't remember the model), but just as comfortable. In my career I've had 3 pairs of salomons and they always hold up.

These fit great. Very true to size. They seem to last forever. It's the comfort of a tennis shoe with the durability of boot.

I ordered them in a 12 wide to fit my flat feet and they fit perfectly. I have had many pairs of these. I wore them in law enforcement, and I wore them in the jungles of Burma and the front lines in Syria. These boots are awesome and never fail to deliver. Waterproof, easily washable, does not fade, traction has held up through countless gnarly hikes, not damage to the laces or eyelets. The waterproofing / GTX feature does keep your feet and socks a little damp inside the shoes. I usually let them air out to help the life of the boot; but even after hundreds of muddy miles the insole hasn't ripped at all. I've been wearing Altra running shoes and flip flops for the last two years, so I appreciated the wider toe box with the 'wide' model of these boots; though I did move the whole lacing setup back a notch on each boot. I will be buying again!

Comfortable fit out of the box and still great two months later

This is the second pair I bought, they are so comfortable I wear them as a house shoe as well. The design of the sole is such that it grasps gravel and lose dirt when hiking, saving me from falls.. I hike nearly every day and have never had a better boot in my life!

I hiked various hikes around Lake Tahoe and found they were very stable, especially on rocky descents.

Got these at the beginning of the year, I've put about 75 miles of hard hikes on these so far. Pretty comfortable, sturdy and tough. Well worth the money.

The X Ultra 3 Mid GTX have replaced my Quest 4d 3 GTX as my favorite hiking shoe. Actually it is my favorite shoe period. I even wear them to work because they relieve my achilles pain from standing all day. I highly recommend the X Ultra 3 Mid GTX to anyone.

I've been wearing these for almost a month now... daily... at least 12 hours a day. They are extremely comfortable and definitely waterproof! The tread grip is excellent and the rapid lacing system provides a secure and custom fit.

I am disabled from exposure to Agent Orange. These shoes are better than any that I have worn. They add spring to my step and are very comfortable and have become my everyday go to shoe. Will order more!

This is my second pair of X Ultra 3 GTX and I'm delighted that Salomon has maintained the same level of quality with these as in my first pair. I marvel at how a hiking shoe can feel almost like wearing a sneaker, yet have the secure rugged protection needed for a host of conditions one would encounter in the great outdoors. Highly recommended.

I have been cranking up the hills in wet scotland with these. Not only do they keep my feet dry but they are super light. I have heavier boots that dont do the job anywhere near as well.

I bought these boot 3-4 years ago and they are still going strong. I feel like they still have another 1 1/2 years to go. This is a very good quality pair of boots. My wife just order some as we speak. Only the best.

I've worn these in torrential rain, hot sunshine and snow.Not ideal in hot sunshine or snow, but have kept my feet secure and dry in UK rain and mud.They offer adequate support for a light pack on trails, not mountains or with a heavy pack.I normally wear 10.5 so I bought 10.5. They fit great.That said some people say they are narrow,but my Merrel MOABS are too wide for me so maybe I have slightly narrow feet.After 600 miles of rain and mud they no longer look new, but give the impression they will go on much longer. Grip and comfort on all surfaces is good. I recommend.

Great boots. Very light and comfortable. I recommend buying one whole size larger than normal. I normally wear an 11.5 bought a 12 which wasn't wide enough. Ended up with a 12.5 and it's perfect. Have hiked four 4000'+ mountains in the White Mountains and have had no issues. Very comfortable and solid on the many different terrains of the Whites.

I wear these daily and get a year out of them. It is extremely hard to find a wide gortex boot and these by far are the best. My only wish is that Salomon would made more models in wide.

I have been wearing these shoes since I first got them. They are a great pair of trail shoes and it hasn't taken me long to break them in. Very comfortable. I look forward to having them for a few years.
