I bought the Quest 4D 3 thx about two months ago. Have put that many miles on them yet but they are amazingly comfortable right out of the box!! Little to no break in!! Perfect fit, and the quality of construction is second to none!

This is my second pair .I have worn them many times into the mountains and would recommend them to anyone.

Yes - I've worn my boots out. The sole is coming apart. I don't care!!!! I literally wore these boots everywhere for years and years and years. (my model predates this version) Thousands of miles of hiking all over Europe, Philmont, and every day life. The last few years I've been wearing them while working my wooded land I've been clearing. I would be shocked if anyone has gotten more out of a pair of hiking boots. The uppers are still in good shape. Never a blister or any discomfort. I bought this model boot for my son (Eagle Scout) who also wears the hell out of them. Bought a pair for my wife also. The one big negative for me not replacing them again is because I hate the green and black color options. I have no idea why Salomon does not offer these in brown anymore. We don't want two different kinds of green. That's dumb. I'm holding out until they fix the color selection. I'm sure I'll wear the next pair another 6-10 years. Best money I've ever spent

These boots were recommended by my good friend that is a green beret. He wears these in Afghanistan. If they are his choice of boots for that terrain then they are definitely the right choice for me without question. Comfortable, water resistant, light and great grip. I highly recommend these boots. I wear a 13 and they fit perfectly.

This is my second pair of Salomon boots and they get better every time! Perfectly waterproof without being sweaty on your feet. Amazing grip and ankle support, while still feeling and weighing like a trainer.

Best walking boots on the market BUT with every single pair that I have owned whether it's walking up the hill or around town with the dog the laces always come undone, retire and extra tight which causes pain but still they come undone... the only boots I've ever owned to do this no matter how tight a knot I tie...apart from that they are the best

I have used Merrell's boots, salewa, and inov-8 hiking boots in the past. I do a lot of backpack hiking with a heavier load 20 to 30 lbs and was looking for something that would last and take the abuse of the long days of hiking. These boots are great they have awesome ankle support and are very comfortable. I hike at least 6 miles on the weekends if not more some days maybe 10 or 11 miles. These came great out of the box did not take a lot of break in provide great support for all day hiking, these boots are amazing, the craftsmanship is top notch. My feet don't hurt as much after each hike they are definitely not lightweight, but provides the balance in between which at the end it's what you need if you are doing multiple days of hiking. I don't feel hot in them would still have to try them during summer hikes to see how they perform. These are geared towards hiking with heavier loads will take abuse in hard terrain and have great traction when hiking up the hills. So far for hiking in weather between 40 degrees and 80 I would say they are ideal. Would still have to try in colder weather and hot weather to see how they perform. The come true to size I ordered my normal size which I can still add a thicker sock if needed for cold weather.

I've put these boots through two summers in almost any terrain you can think of and they are still going strong. Before I purchased these boots I experienced sore feet after almost every hike I took. But ever since owning the Quest 4D my feet feel amazing after my hikes! This shoe was my first pair of Salomon's and they have definitely made me a loyal customer for life!

Best boots I've ever owned. I'm and avid hunter and outdoors man. I've owned 4 pairs of these boots and have been very impressed how comfortable and well they hold up to the rocky desert terrain in AZ. I have a wide foot and the fit great. I highly recommend these boots.

Being in Law Enforcement having a good boot is extremely important. The Salomon Quest 4D 3 GTX has never let me down!

I brought a pair of these shoes 5 years ago, I used them on the Kilimanjaro climb, Mount Kenya, Atlas Mountains in Morrocco, Iceland and the Lake Districts. They were awesome

I had a pair that lasted over three years and I just purchased this newer model. I am very satisfied with a relatively lightweight boot that is also waterproof!

Few things in life have lasted as long, been more comfortable, and down right awesome. They are my hiking boots, my snow boots, my work boots... over a thousand miles and still going strong. You pay for what you get. Ordering a new pair now after 8 years.

I like the stiffness of sole, keeps my feet happy on rocky trails

I bought these as a replacement for my well-wornSalomon boots and as usual the comfort out of the box was immediate. A short breaking in period around the house and I was ready. The support throughout the foot and ankle was as I expected - just great for rough terrain.

I purchased these roughly a month ago and have been completely satisfied with them. Comfort, support and rugged. I used to be a fan of a competitor but after my third pair of Salomons, I'll never go back!

I bought these boots about a month ago as an alternative to the rubber hunting boots I've used for decades. If you've ever worn mucks or lacrosse you know about the sloppy feel of a rubber boot and the stark contrast these form fitting, super supportive and ultra comfortable boots these Salomons are, you like me will never go back

I bought this a month ago and have been wearing around town to break them in, but honestly they felt good to go the first day. It is high quality and sturdy feel to this boot. There are no hard spots or stiff areas that concern me. I will taking out soon now that the smoke from local fires has cleared up.

I wanted a hiking boot with a more support and stiffer soles than the more flexible mid hikers I had been using. These provided exactly what I was needing - great support, stiffer soles, and reasonable weight. These are also great for backpacking which was my first reason for buying them. Now I wear them all the time for daily hikes. I tried going back to the old mid hikers to compare and the Quests definitely make me a happier hiker.

This is my third pair of Quests. They're super light and require almost no break in time. Just put them on and go. Keep up the great work Salomon.

I took these on a bear hunt in the mountains of the Cohutta wilderness in north Georgia. I was very pleased with the weight and performance! Will definitely buy another pair!

I tested this boot extensively on every kind of terrain I could find in the San Jaun Mountains. They handle scree, mud, tundra, steeps, ascent, descent, running, very grippy on rock, and very stable. Im stoked on these, you will be too.

I purchased these boots June 2018, over two years ago. I chose them for their sturdy protection and have not been disappointed. They've held up extremely well hiking rocky trails and wet marshlands. They are heavy and hot but do the job of a protecting your feet on uneven ground. My feet do not slide forward on downhill slopes, the soles grip very well crossing wet rocky areas, and my feet stay dry in wet and light snowfalls. I have a right ankle that has been injured multiple times and these boots have kept my ankle stable without further injury. Welds, eyelets, padded areas, etc. have all held up to the abuse. If they feel comfortable on your feet and you have the money, I highly recommend the Salomon Quest 4D 3 GTX. I'm on this site to buy a second pair for future use.

I put about 92 miles on these boots in September alone. Over half of those miles were of trail. These boots are still waterproof and still very comfortable.
