I have the LOW version of generation IV ultra fastback shoes. The MID version basically performs the same as the LOW with better protection on the ankle. I will wear the boots for long and challenging routes while the low sneaker if I want a more flexible and versatile performance, but doesn't means that the boots is bad on those. The GTX works well which no water get in my shoes when I wash it directly in water after a muddy walk, my feet is perfectly dry.

I am very impressed with this hiking boot. I can use in the winter with a warm sock or in the summer with light socks. The fit is excellent and true to size. I have heard durability may be less than other boots but so far I've had no issues and would buy again.

GoreTex + Vibram combination made good hike shoes.

Glad I bought these hikers. They're solid, comfortable and provide excellent stability on uneven terrain.

it is very comfortable and always dry, I have used them all the day with any issue. I really recommend them to use for long hiking walks.

These boots took a sec to break in, but they are now my go to boot for everyday winter use. Wear with high socks. I bought these for my first trip to the Rockies, and they outperformed my expectations. I got them for a great price. Sounds weird, but I really like the laces...They are thin, yet durable, and they tie tight. Overall, great boots.

These are great lightweight hiking boots; they are comfortable enough to wear all day!

These are not winter boots by any means, but I wear these boots year round. I live in Canada where we have very cold winters and I prefer these over my other winter boots. Their grip on snow and ice aren't the greatest but paired with ice cleats, they're perfect for winter hiking. I plan to test these out in the coming summer, where we will be on a 6 day backpacking trip. I know these won't last forever, but I hope the future will bring on a new product similar to these.

I have used them 3 times to date, they have not disappointed me. Everyone talks about how great they look and ask me if they are expensive, to which I answer that they are worth every penny.

I bought this boot mostly for going on a hike, snowshoeing and or just walking on dirt and rock trail. Feel little tight first couple days but expands nicely to fit your width. Very comfortable and lightweight. It provide support to protect from rolling of ankle. Also provides traction when walking on snow and/or ice. So far it has done a great job keeping water and snow out. Cant wait to test it out while crossing shallow streams and rivers. The only thing I don't like so far is the the fabric on the outside kinda has a nylon feel and sound, but not a deal breaker.

I bought these for my husband for our upcoming vacation in NC hiking. These shoes are comfortable, stylish. He like them so well he wears them all the time. Great shoe!!!

Good shoe for wearing around snow and mountains

Easily the best all around shoes that I have. Which is why I now have 4 pairs of the same model. 1 low getting quite worn. 2 low woven in different colors which I wear daily. And now that winter has arrived these MIDs. Not slippery Do not need break in Waterproof but not hot
