After half an hour of walking, I couldn't feel my feet... Because it felt like I was walking on clouds.

The boots are light and comfortable. They need very little break in because I wore them for 2 days on a camping trip right out of the box with no issues. I thought they felt slightly warm, but not significant. The laces have to be double knotted.

Put these on straight from the box and broke them in on 14 rough miles including mixed snow and a pretty monstrous Class 3 scramble. Never had an issue with comfort throughout the full 12 hour journey and the mid-rise kept debris out wonderfully. Climbed well over the boulders, but I wouldn't use them exclusively as an approach shoe. Excited to see how they feel when they're properly broken in. Ordered a half-size down from my standard shoe size - even with pretty boxy feet, they're very comfortable through the mid-foot and in the toe box.

I use this shoe for work and it is extremely comfortable. I also like that they do not look like a standard workboot.

This is the second pair of The North Face boots I have bought for hiking in the mountains above Park City, Utah. They are comfortable right out of the box. I took a 10-mile hike in them two days after receiving them in the mail. I don't understand why some reviewers say they are not waterproof; they definitely are. I hiked in rain for more than an hour yesterday and my feet stayed dry. They are wide enough in the toe area to keep my toes from feeling cramped. I like the lacing system and the cushion that comes with them. I am definitely sold on The North Face brand; couldn't be happier.

I have purchased two pair of shoes for my husband and he loves them. He is a maintenance man in a huge apartment complex, so he walks several miles a day. When it rains, he knows his feet will remain perfectly dry and/or warm. He has had one pair for almost a year and they are showing very little wear. I just bought him a new pair for his birthday in a different color and he can't wait to start wearing those. I also purchased a north face rain jacket and I absolutely love it. I live in Oklahoma (tornado alley) and I stay dry and warm when I am wearing it. I can't say enough good things about your products. I will continue to by them for myself and my family. Thank you for making these products.

These boots are used for light to moderate hiking and yard work. These are some of the lightest boots I've owned. The Goretex lining keeps them nice and dry. I've needed minimal break-in time. Unlike most other boots I've owned, I don't find sighing with contentment when I take them off, so I have to say they are quite comfortable for their class.

These boots straight out of the box and on my feet...The boots had that feeling of an old shoe you refuse to retire, because they feel so dang gone good. With that being said the following day decide to do twenty mile hike with my buddy. Good idea or horrible new boot choice. Well happy to say after a muddy, rocky, and slippery creek jumpin day. No blisters and a boot that is ready to wear right box. At least for this guys feet these boots can run the gambit.

I had the same pair of North Face hiking boots for 7 years and wore them OUT. I was nervous that I wasn't going to be able to find a pair that fit the same was and was SO durable. But, after months of searching I found these babies. They are everything my previous pair was! So incredibly comfortable and durable. I work in conservation and need a pair that can handle being worn in all types of field conditions. I highly recommend buying these if you have been looking!

I live in Yosemite National Park and used these babies for the first time on the Mist Trail, which is a steady incline hike with lots of granite "stairs". The traction felt super comfortable as I was able to hike up and down with no problem or insecurity. I was even running in these down the trail and it felt amazing, these shoes totally supported my legs and feet constantly stopping after having to watch out for the other hikers! On the mist you get completely soaked from Vernal Falls and wow these protected my feet from being soaked so good job on the goretex design!

I hikes in Yellowstone and loved these. If you want water proof these aren't them. These are not rigged off the path hiking either. Kinda of a hybrid basketball shoe / hiking boots.

I use these shoes for just about everything. I love to be able to get in the Mountains and off the beaten path trails, these are great for that. Unfortunately I am not able to get out into nature as much as I would like by choice however my job allows me to spend more than enough time outdoors, so these were purchased for work purposes. Don't get me wrong, I do plenty of hiking around job-sites whether they are complete, under construction or finished these bad boys get the job done. Working in North Georgia and covering 15-18 counties the type of terrains I encounter are a mix of rolling hills/pastures, flat, asphalt ( Atlanta), lake lots (Hartwell, Lanier, Rabun, Burton), mountain-like (Burton, Clarksville, Sautee Nacoochee, Rabun) and a mixture of everything in between. My feet stay dry, comfortable and are excited to throw these bad boys on in the mornings. I am a true believer in North Face brand this is the first pair of hiking boots I have ever purchased from them and I will be a return customer for life. I am also a true believer in North Face sponsoring a small business like mine, e-mail me and lets expand to the 6am- to the unlimited working hour male and females of the world. We take pride in anything and everything we work on, create and accomplish much like y'all (@NothFace). Thank you for quality and comfort ladies and gentleman! Do yourself a favor folks grab a pair of these!

I've been using TNF shoes since the first storm model, throughout the years I've used the storm II, ultra hike II, storm III, and now ultra fastpack III. They have been great when commuting to school and later work. I've recommended these shoes to several of my friends.
