I have an old pair of these sandals and wanted to replace them as they are starting to wear out. Was excited to receive these in the same size I always wear in Clarks. when I tried them on the arch support felt in the wrong part of my foot and there was a good 1/2 to 3/4 inch at the heel of the shoe past my heal. I compared the new pair to the old and the difference in size was obvious. I am stimped as to why these run so large but I am willing to try again in a 7.5 size.

I have purchased this Clark Saylie sandal for several years. It has a lot of comfort for long times on your feet, even better than other more expensive sandals I have purchased. So was so disappointed when put the sandals on and the Velcro didn't want to close with out being tight. I compared to the older sandals and discovered the shoe maker have cut back on the size of both pieces of velcro which makes the shoe not fit with the comfort of the past. Hope they can go back make the shoe as in the past. Makes a great shoe then. Thanks

THEY may not be WATER proof as stated, but all leather is washable, I wash them in washer all the time, They come out fabulous...I've worn them out..! I have very wide foot and arch so the straps could be longer for me, but over all their great shoes.

I so wanted these sandals to fit but they didn't come in a 9W. The arch support is awesome, and the straps are snug. You don't feel like your foot is going to slip out.

I have to buy sandals a size smaller than my regular shoes, so the only issue is that the back strap barely meets the velcro. I think that as the leather stretches that should become less of a problem.

The shoe is nice and color is neutral as described. I would order more if there were more styles offered in narrow width. Narrows are hard to find. This shoe has 3 adjustment straps so I can make it work for casual wear.

size is true to size, straps a little short but just fit me...should be half inch longer! color is good, i bought the black. pretty comfortable. I would like them a little better if were cloudsteepers!! all in all i grade them a B- !!

This is a remake of a former Clark's model sandal which I have worn for years. I am delighted these are available. There is a bit of change in the loop and hook closure. I need more space to for them to be perfect for me. Thus the 4 star ratings. However, I will keep them because they are comfortable and the sand color is good looking. Hopefully, the short space for the closure won't become a problem. So far so good!

I was looking for a comfortable sandal that I could walk all day in, while on vacation at a major family amusement park. Mission accomplished! The foot bed was much more comfortable than a Softt style I tried a few weeks before.

I was so excited! These looked like the Clark sandals I have been wearing for years and are nowdiscontinued. So I ordered them in my usual size 7. They fit good BUT - Unfortunately the strap cut into my ankle and was very uncomfortable. Sadly, these must go back.

I have an older version of this sandal and purchased these to replace the old ones that were wearing out. I normally wear a standard width but have slightly wide toes and very narrow heels. The toe piece was snug but felt comfortable and I thought it would likely stretch a bit with wear. I like that the ankle and heel straps are adjustable. These sandals felt soft and cushioned and very comfortable. The heel is a little higher than the older version, and given my preference, I'd choose the lower heel. I can't speak to the comfort for long walks or to durability, as unfortunately I had to return these sandals. This newer model has ankle straps that come up higher on the foot than the old ones, and they hit my ankle bones, which becomes very uncomfortable very quickly. So now I'm back to looking for another good replacement walking sandal.

This was not what I expected. It's not bad just unexpected. The sole was not what the other Clark products have been. I have balance issues so want a shoe that won't slip. This one initially did not look like what I wanted. It seems to be okay as it did not slip on carpet. We'll see about a wet floor. I like the style okay. Price is reasonable if sandal works for me. I need a 1 and 1/2 inch heel or less. I cannot use anything higher. I also hate when another company buys my favorite shoe place and changes my shoes to something not recognizable.

It has been noted the front velcro "adjustment strap" is cosmetic, unfortuntately. This front strap is also wide front to back and hits me at a tender spot. Also, something about my heel on the foot bed was uncomfortable. The stitching created an indentation in the soft foot bed that my sensitive feet did not like. I was looking for all-terrain sandals for the summer and, sadly, these are going back but I'm keeping the Trotters Tamera, which are a little dressier but felt like heaven out of the box.

Very attractive shoe, comfortable to take short to moderate walks.

These are very nice shoes but I had to return them because the strap in the toe area is not fully adjustable. You cannot use it to loosen the fit, and if you try to tighten it, it bunches the material underneath, making it uncomfortable.

I wish I could find a narrow width. These were surely too wide. Style was cute but lacked the quality l was expecting. I purchased a similar Clark sandal some time ago and hoped these would compare well, but they didn't. Sent them back. Zappos is fabulous for shipping and returns though.

The length and width fit is ok although the strap over the vamp/ankle area keeps popping open. I have one foot that is larger so the right foot needs a 7 1/2 M and the left needs 7 1/2 W.

I was really hoping that this shoe would be the answer to my foot issues, but they weren't. I have to wear shoes that don't press on the nerves in my instep. Clarks are always my go to brand of shoes.

I purchased these to substitute for slippers in the house. I needed arch support. These provide very little. The upper strap is uncomfortable. I returned them.

Reading the reviews, I can't say I wasn't warned about the potential problems with this shoe. However, everyone's feet are different, and this was the type of sandal I was looking for. Plus, I wanted navy, and Zappos had a phenomenal sale on that color. Ironically, the things that most bothered others weren't a problem for me. Not being able to tighten the toe strap felt a little weird at first, but it actually was OK after I walked around the house a bit. The deal-breaker was the lack of support, which several other customers mentioned. A sandal of this nature – not dainty and delicate, but strapped in all the way around and meant for serious walking or being on your feet all day – needs support. So, back they went. I walk an average of 2-3 miles a day in the summer and need a good pair of walking sandals. Clarks have been my go-to for years. In fact, my last pair lasted so long that I didn't see the brand slowly going downhill in quality. When I decided to send these back, I spent hours searching online for something similar that wasn't three times the price. I ended up buying a pair of Earth Origins sandals on sale at my local department store, similar to this style but more "rustic" looking, and I absolutely love them: great support, three-way adjustable straps, and leather uppers. And in navy! Zappos carries Earth and Earth Origins, and while they don't have that particular style, their great service – fast delivery and mindlessly easy returns – takes the risk out of trying something a little different in what may be my new go-to brand.

The band across the toes is not adjustable. I am not sure why it is covered in a Velcro tab. Had I Known this after watching the video, I would not have ordered them. So they are going back.

I ordered these sandals to replace similar Clarks that I loved but had worn out. Sadly I had to return these because they rubbed the bottom of my ankle so were very uncomfortable on me. Love Zappos fast service and free returns. Replaced them with Rockport's Franklin 3 Strap which were comfortable right out of the box.

The sandals are very comfortable but the heel strap is not long enough for the velcro strips to line up, leaving half of the rough side of the velcro closure exposed. This is not secure and the exposed strip will scratch and catch lent and dirt. I saw complaints about this in other reviews but took a chance and ordered a pair anyway. Very disappointing in this manufacturing flaw, as this would have been a great sandal for me. But, most likely return them.

I need the adjustable straps for the width because my feet swell. I was disappointed that the toe strap really doesn't adjust it just looks like it does. The other two straps do adjust but the straps do not come out of the metal clip...the velcro keeps it from sliding all the way out. I was afraid I wouldn't be able to get my foot in comfortably. The straps around the middle and ankle did open wide enough to get my foot in. Once I got in it and adjusted the straps they worked fine.

These were just too narrow for me. I wear a WW so got these in a 1/2 size up, but the foot bed was too narrow so I exchanged them for another 1/2 size up (a full size larger than I normally wear), and the foot bed was no wider, but the shoe was too long. I really like these and loved the way they looked on. I struggled with returning them but knew if they didn't feel wide enough while trying them on I would not be comfortable wearing them. I wish Clark's would start making shoes in WW. They have some great shoes. I usually find their sandals will fit me if I find just the right pair at the right size but it doesn't look like that will happen this year.
