These are one of the most comfortable pair of shorts I have ever bought!! Did size up since Columbia does run small for me and they fit perfect. I run a little thicker in the hip and thigh area .. lol

Soft and comfortable as I would expect from Columbia

This has become my go-to short for lounging around the house or working in the yard. Just pull on and go. No weird buttons or pockets to get in the way, almost fits like a pair of workout shorts. I probably could have gotten a small (5'2"/108 lbs) but the XS fits fine for my purposes. I ordered the Pond color, different, but nice.

Great shorts, especially for hot summer days. Light weight fabric, great fit.

I bought it since I have the "long leg version " and I wanted something short to go around during hot days. Love the fabric. I've got the small and noticed the waist is loser than the long leg version in the same size but still wearable. I'm 5' 5" and 116 lb.

I can dress them up . i can hike and work in them Louisiana rain all the time .I get rained on and before i get home dry . wash well .

Great short I like. its elastic had room to move and walk or just relaxing.

These shorts are great for just about any activity. I am 5'10 with long legs, and they are just long enough where I feel like I can actually exercise in them without them riding up in an uncomfortable way. I really wish they had back pockets though both for storage and to hide panty line, since I have a curvier butt (which is why I docked them one point in the "function" category). Aside from that, I like them and will probably purchase more colors.

Look fresh while being super comfortable. Can go from hiking to pairing with a blouse and cute sandals for a more dressy look!

No bunching or riding up, stays in place. Very comfortable to wear to lounge all day or go fishing and hiking.

These shorts fit perfectly and are a great length for an active lifestyle. The thinner fabric is really nice and light for the hot summer weather. I absolutely love the fit and style.

These are the most comfortable shorts ever! Waist band is perfect width and fits nicely. I have every color and several pairs of each. I highly recommend these. They pack very well and hold up nicely after washing. I just wish there were more colors available.

LOVE these shorts. They're casual and athletic, yet can also be dressed up a bit. I am generally an XS in everything Columbia, but these ran small enough that I wish I had sized up to S instead of XS. Tight around the waistband and thighs. But super cute and perfect length. Very flattering.

These are so comfortable, stretchy, has pockets that fit golf balls (I wear these for golf all of the time), snap closure with drawstring backup...I can't say enough good things about these shorts.

These are the most comfortable and versatile shorts. I love them. I have worn them around town running errands, at the park, and white water rafting. They are comfortable and dry quickly when wet. I love the pull on styling and the pockets are just the right size. I only wish they came in a few more colors.

I love that these don't have a button, zipper or drawstring. Just pull 'em up and good to go! I wear these while I'm active, running errands or lounging around the house. These are so comfortable, lightweight and ideal for pretty much anything. They are also very flattering - I get a ton of compliments on them. I will definitely be buying more and I hope Columbia keeps them in stock!!

These shorts are the best because they slip on w/ no zipper or snap to bulk up your middle section. They fit great, are comfortable & are perfect for hot summers in Florida. They are not too short or too long. I am 5'3", weight ~118 lbs.

Great length! Pull on with an ample waist band.

I originally purchased these in XS / 5 inch length but felt they were too short for me. I returned them for the 7 inch length. It is still winter where I live and so I have not worn them yet other than to try on. They seem good. I am heading to Florida in a few days where they will get the real test.

These shorts are versatile -- with the longer length, you can dress them up, especially if you hide the logo on the back top edge of the shorts with a shirt. The other reviews are correct. They run quite small. I'm almost always a size small (size 4 pants) with an athletic build, not curvy, but a medium fit me well, nicely fitted and not at all loose. I wouldn't want them any smaller honestly.

I am obsessed with these shorts. I have them in three colors. They are so comfortable and true to size. I am 5’7” and 135 lb and am most comfortable in a medium. The only negative thing I will say is that the fabric snags super easily.

Great style but a bit snug at the waist for me. I barely got it over my tush.

These run so small! Based on the size chart I should be medium which is normally my size. They technically fit but are so fitted, it wouldn't be comfortable to do any physical activities. They're cute and I appreciate the sun protection, material seems nice otherwise.
