Very comfortable. But definitely dont hold up as a work boot. After 6 months the souls are pulling away and there falling apart at the seams. They were only waterproof for a month or so.

These boots are comfortable right out of the box and fit well. However, they are so unbearably hot, I can't wear them all day. I typically work 11-12 hrs per day in the summer and these aren't the boots I expected. Trying to clarify return policy at this point.
I do however love Merrell boots overall! Just not this model.

Poor SupportGreat Support
Poor construction quality and materials compared to previous merrell boots. Deal breaker is far too small plastic lacing hooks at top of boot. Makes on and off far too slow and cumbersome. Would have kept these if priced at $100. At $200 an extremely poor value.

I wear Merrell shoes in the same size I ordered the boot in, 11 wide. First impressions were positive. Wore them around the property for the first month to break them in before taking them on a job. A little narrower than the shoe but nothing initially uncomfortable. I work in power plants and during an outage I live in my boots for 14+ hours a day. After 8 or so hours these boots would absolutely start to destroy my feet. Being waterproof they don't breathe super well and are a very warm boot. After two weeks on the job I could barely walk. I had to buy a competitors boot mid way through and shelve these. The construction and materials are great. This is not a boot I would recommend for someone doing real shift work.

The boots are reasonably comfortable but sometimes when I have been wearing them for long periods the right boot feels life the arch support was put on the wrong side. The soles are very slippery in oil, smooth metal surfaces, and the cold. On the other hand I really like the built in toe cap.

I bought this item two months ago. This is the second pair I've purchased. The first pair lasted for a year and felt great so i ordered another pair.
This second pair is absolutely horrible. No matter what I do, the right boot feels like i am standing on something and it is extremely hard. At first i thought the boot needed to be broken in. But after two months and three different pairs of insoles, and the problem is still there. A 200 dollar pair of boots and im basically stuck with them. I am beyond unhappy and will probably not be buying another pair of merrell. I am getting ready to go talk to redwing about getting boots from them.

I bought these boots in December Right boot lace broke after 2 months. Now in July stitching on Achilles tendon portion of boots has ripped out from ankle to ankle. On top of that, they run VERY wide. I will never purchase this brand of boot ever again. I am a foreman in the construction industry, I'm not hard on my boots, like a lace up for ankle support and ease of on and off..
Did i mention the boots are JUNK!!!

Good pair of boots at first but as they wore a raised ridge developed under the ball of each foot making it painful to wear them any longer. I would assume this is a manufacturing defect that cost me $$$.

I have the zippered version which I bought a year ago and they are terrible, my feet get absolutely soaked from any little puddle I step in. Co hind the use them all winter because I am an electrician and work outside often and they couldn't keep my feet dry at all. Do not buy

Fit was true to size but I only had worn these shoes for 4 days and they were already falling apart. I only wore them to work and for light hiking. (My shoes in the pics were just dusty from Colorado dirt). My last shoes were the same brand just a different style. Those lasted for almost 2 years and I wore them nearly daily to work and also for weekend hiking. Going to try a different brand this time. Thanks Zappos afor always standing by your word and refunding my purchase.

I work in commercial kitchens everyday. Alternate boots because every boot company recommends that to make them last. These boots lasted less than two months. No reason to come unstitched by walking. Poor quality workmanship!!!

On my left boot the rubber toe guard started to peel within a month. In 3 months in now and there is a 2 inch wide gap where the toe guard has separated from the boot. The threads holding the toe guard are fraying as well. On my right boot some of the rubber on the side of the sole is starting to peel. I recently took a management job so I'm not any where near as hard on my work boots as I used to be. I spend about 50% of my time at a desk now. I have several other non-work boot style merrell's that I love, but these are embarrassing.

This is the worst work boot I have ever owned. I work in the paper industry so mostly walking on concrete and getting on and off forklifts. I've worn the boots for less than five months and the toes are peeling apart and the seems on the boot are coming apart to the point I can stick my finger through. I thought these boots would be rugged and durable but fell way short. I haven't even used them outside which I thought Merrell boots were designed for. For the price I paid for these boots I was hoping for well over a year before they would even start to show signs of wear yet alone fall apart. I am in the market for a new pair of hikers and thought about merrells but after these boots they will b last ones I ever purchase. Wish there was an option I could post pictures

I never write reviews but I feel it's a must to let you know these and the Moab composite toe work boots fell apart on me in less than 6 months. Both at the toe, where the rubber meets the leather. Both ended up falling apart to where the composite toe was completely exposed. With these boots the threading at the toe ended up unraveling within the first week. I have to mention that I ended up warranting my Moab's for these thinking I was getting a better product but I was mistaken. I really wanted to support this company because I had heard their hiking boots where comfortable and long lasting. Comfort is not bad but these do not last. I have had these boots for maybe 4 months and the composite toe is completely exposed and therefore no longer waterproof. Like I said I never write reviews but thinks it's important to get this info out.

Thought these would be great boots the first 2 weeks. Then I noticed my feet were always sore so I pulled the insert out and discovered it gave zero cushion. By my first month the boots started coming apart at all of the seams and and I can't keep these boots tied for more then an hour for the life of me. By far worst boots I have ever bought in my life. Won't buy anymore products from this manufacturer

Your lucky to get 4months out of a pair of these luckily they stood behind their warranry and sent me another pair. Which i only got 4months out of as well. They need to change their toe guard and have the leather go all the way down to the sole that is the first piece to come apart then after that every thing else starts to fail. The mesh shoe lace loops are the worst idea ever when it comes to work boots. Will never buy another pair of merrell work boots.

This boot is the worst, was suppose to be waterproof but after 3 months the seams started to rip out then after 5 months the soles started to come apart and then to make things worse now they leak when they get wet. Would not buy these boot for work.

Fit great out of the box and comfortable. Unfortunately that's the only plus. Adding shanks and a safety toe doesn't make this weekender hiking boot a "work boot". After 6 months the stitching and rubber is falling apart. Much better suited for those who maybe visit job site once in awhile and wait to look stylish. For the everyday laborer on site better find something that will hold up.
