Watch out, these aren't like other Danksos. The sole is so thin and hard that if you walk around, like a normal person, in these for too long--the sole cracks. I've had great Dansko shoes in the past, but I'm so disappointed in this pair and really upset at how expensive they were and how fast they fell apart. The the sole has completely cracked and I can't wear them anymore. I've only had them for 3 months! I don't do anything extreme when I wear them, I work in a library. The rubber traction layer and the wooden layer of the sole in front of my arch has cracked completely. I was so impressed with the shoe when I first bought it that I was going to get another, but then a month later they started to crack at the heel and now, 3 months later--the toe area is cracked. I wish I could return them.

I'd like to begin by saying these are absolutely gorgeous, classy looking shoes and by appearances, look every bit the price paid. As far as fit goes, I am a 7 1/2- 8 and in Danskos generally wear a 38 sandal and in the clogs either a 38 wide or a 39. Though I have a wider foot, I generally don't need a wide width shoe except in Dansko clogs. When I buy Dansko sandals I almost always go for a style with an adjustable strap near the toes so I can loosen the sandal until it is broken in, as Dansko leather generally stretches very nicely, and then I tighten the strap as needed. I also have several foot issues that make a snug shoe very uncomfortable and arch support mandatory. I have a painful bunion on just my left foot, fallen arches and plantar fasciitis in my right foot. I fell in love with these shoes as soon as I saw them but was hesitant to order them not knowing if they'd be wide enough. After reading many reviews that they seemed to accomodate a wider foot better than a narrow one, I decided to go ahead and try them. They seemed to be a beautiful fit, even sitting comfortably over my bunion, until I wore them for a little while. The outside edge began to dig painfully into the side of each of my feet, just below the bone under the pinky toe. After about an hour I couldn't take it anymore and had to take them off. Now, I've had enough pairs of Danskos to know that once they stretch and are broken in they will be the most comfortable shoes ever, and I really love this style and wanted them to work for me. I decided I would try to wear them with socks and a little piece of thin cardboard tucked in where they cut in for a little while every day and if I couldn't break them in after a few days then I'd take them to my local shoe repair and have him stretch them for me. It has taken about four days but they are showing the promise I had hoped they would and are beginning to feel more comfortable each time I put them on and I don't think I'll need to take them in to be stretched. I hope this helps anyone questioning how this particular shoe will fit.

Super cute alternative for closed toe sandals. Wore them the first day all day shopping and very comfy. They are a fun boho vibe and I’m 55 and they looked cute. Hope they make them in some fun colors soon.

These shoes are adorable. But I have to return them. While the footbed runs true to size, the straps are too long/big around the ankles with no room to punch additional holes.

I love these so much. These are my second pair. It is true that the soles crack within the first 6 months, but in my first pair even after they cracked the crack didn't increase, it can't be felt, or almost even seen. I continued to wear the cracked first pair for another year and a half before buying a second pair, and I still wear both.

Love these clogs! Cute with my bootcut Jean's and Anthropologie dresses. My problematic feet can't handle wearing even the smallest heel but these have been so comfortable!! I wear a 7.5 and the 38s were too big, the 37s fit perfectly so size down.

I am 5'9" and I wear a true size 10. I have always worn a 41 in Dansko but after reading the sizing on these and also calling Zappos I went ahead with the recommended 40. They technically "fit" but my heel was off the back for sure and it was not a lot but it bothered me. I exchanged for the 41 and it is perfect and they are SOOOO cute! Zappos was super helpful and I got the exchange so quickly and was able to compare the sizes. Thank you Zappos!

I have a wide foot but I'm not a "wide". I've struggled with plantar-fasciitis so I'm very choosey about my shoes. Dansko always does it for me and thankfully their style just gets better and better.

I have gotten so many compliments on these shoes, and many of my coworkers can’t believe that they are Danskos! I love them for work, and they hold up well for my work days. I haven’t had any pain with these shoes.

I'm sooooo disappointed with these shoes. I bought my normal Dansko size 38 but they definitely felt a little short so I exchanged for a 39. They were a little loose on the strap that goes over your foot, but I thought they would work. WRONG. They make my knee hurt - I think because they are just too loose and a little too heavy and just flop around on my foot all day. I really REALLY wish I could return them. They're very cute but the fit is just too weird.

These shoes are great! I have fairly narrow feet that pronate and need arch support. These Danskos provide good support, but aren't too wide. The structure is well-planned: there's a strong arch, not too pronounced or steep, but at just the right angle which makes the shoes comfortable all day. I only gave them 4 stars on comfort because the surface of the insert underneath the slight padding is a little hard. With my older Dansko clogs, the leather surface of the insert has made it seem softer. Honestly, I've started picking my outfits for the day based on whether or not my clothes will go with the shoes, rather than the other way around. They're cute, too: both my teenage daughter and several students have complimented me on them.

Overall a great shoe, but I was so sorry the color wasn't taupe, instead it was very brown. Fit was good, but color was not what I thought it was. Dansko, please make shoes with some stylish features.

I LOVE these shoes. I have wide feet, a high arch and a Morton’s Neuroma in one foot. My feet feel great in these all day. The red color is fantastic -goes well with jeans or dresses.

I love this shoe! It is very comfortable and looks great - I have received several compliments from strangers while wearing them, which is always appreciated! I wish they came in more colors so I had an excuse to buy another pair!!

These shoes are adorable, but within the first hour of wearing them, both my big toes were bloody from being rubbed by the upper on the shoe. I also have this shoe in another color and wore them for 8 hours on the first day with no issues. Maybe the cobalt color is made from a different leather, but it was incredibly painful.

I loved these shoes, but they broke in half after three months of wear. Also, the heel's rubber bit pooped off.

I love these shoes and get so many compliments. I didn’t expect them to be so comfortable, but I can go about 6 hours on my feet and feel pretty good. The only bad thing is the wooden bottom part of th sole, right in front of the heel already cracked. I noticed it because I could hear it creaking like a wood floor when I’d shift my weight. Only had them three months. Really disappointed and feel like they were really expensive for such flimsy shoes. The bottom leather covered heel is cute, but gets dirty and scuffed too easily. It makes them look worn out and I just got them.

I love these clogs! I have wide feet and struggle to find shoes that are comfortable, but these are!

My only complaint about my purchase was with Zappos. I ordered the Mohogany color but was sent the brown, due to the color I ordered not being in stock. Customer service offered for me to return the shoes if I wanted, but the hassle of doing so was more than I could handle in an area that had been destroyed by a hurricane. (Months later and our local mail service still hasn’t reopened our local post office and fed ex and ups is still having a hard time getting things to us.) Zappos offered me a $10 credit for the mistake, but given a choice before the order shipped, I would have chosen the black color instead. Great shoes. Just wish Zappos would have reached out before assuming which color I’d have preferred. I do highly recommend the shoe itself though. On my feet all day as a teacher and these are the most comfortable shoes I can wear each day outside of my sneakers. Hope to see the mahogany color I so badly wanted back in stock soon.

So comfortable! I can wear all day and I have zero heal pain. I would highly recommend to anyone with plantar fasciitis.
