So grateful for these shoes and that they work so well for kids that need to wear AFO'S. No store near me carries these and it was easy to purchase them through Zappos knowing if they didn't work returning would be easy! It's so hard finding shoes that will work with AFO'S but these did!!

Was excited to get these shoes. They were awesome for my son since he has orthotic braces and it is hard to find a shoe that goes on easy. I did notice that zipper can be hard to get unzipped at times

I was searching every store & online for a shoe that will fit my 8 year olds AFO/leg brace, until I came across Zappos that actually had it in stock! Especially the back zipper helps so much with the leg brace!

They fit almost perfect. Just a little more narrow and stiff than the free runs but looks great and my son loves them.

Was thrilled to hear about these as my son wears AFOs. Not sure why they don't offer them in wide. Unfortunately they have to go back.

I bought these for my son that wears AFOs. Yep, NOPE didn't work. These are in no way deep enough for AFOs that are not extremely thin. I did give them to a Foster Child that stayed with me and he loved them. Easy for him to take on and off and comfortable. He complained a lot about his feet before these so was a Win!

Bought for my 5 year old to wear with his first set of AFO's. After not knowing anything about AFO's and the shoes he would need, I did research and found these shoes to be the most "normal" looking for AFO's. These work great with his braces and slip easily on and off. I ended up going a size and a half larger to accommodate the bulkiness of the brace and they fit well. Highly recommend for little kiddos with AFO's.

My daughter’s feet are on the wide side of average and these fit her well. She never actually uses the zip-around feature since these are easy enough to put on with the Velcro straps. She picked them out, but I think they look pretty good. The material feels somewhat flimsier than that of adult Nikes, but tough enough.

These shoes were very cute and my son liked them so I was really hoping we found the shoes that would work with his brace. He really wanted to keep them but his feet were too wide to fit in these even though we ordered a size up.

My six year old daughter loves these and has been wearing them every day since we got them. They are true to fit. I would have given 5 stars, but the top layer of the fabric on the velcro peeled away. We were able to repair with some fabric glue and it seemed to do the trick. We ended up buying another pair for our son and he is happy with them too. The velcro seems fine on his so far.

Cute shoe but had to send back to get larger size. It is narrower than some of the other Nike styles. The zipper that goes around the heel is also a bit stiff. I thought this would be a good style for my daughter so she could take them off quickly but, I feel like if we're not gentle the zipper might break.

I love the idea behind these shoes but they were very hard for my son to put on even with my assistance.

I bought these for my 5-year-old son. They seem to run smaller and narrower than other Nike styles. My son says they are not as comfortable as his previous Nike sneakers were.

Not a fan of the zipper. It was difficult for my three year old to unzip and abandoned it all together. He uses them as slip ons. The shoe is comfortable and design (aside from the zipper) is nice. I would not buy again.

The velcro doesn't stay attached to the shoe, which is a huge problem when my little one is running. He is constantly losing the shoes on his feet because they don't stay attached properly. Other than that they work great, especially with orthotics!

I have a love-hate with these shoes. My 5 year old son wears them with his SMOs and they are a breeze to put on—when the zipper is working. Unfortunately on 4 different pairs we've owned, the zipper stopped working and we have to shimmy his foot into the shoe. Thankfully we've bought a couple sizes up to make this possible. Great concept and design, but they are not at all made to last and I am over it. We will be moving on to a traditional laced shoe.

We have a special needs toddler with SMOs, and the orthopedist recommended these shoes. I've found that they go on easily, and come off all *too* easily (the kid especially likes to get himself barefoot). Getting the shoes on is easy enough. Put on socks, SMOs, and then the shoe. The Velcro strap is *just* long enough to reach across. It's definitely not necessary to unzip the shoes all the way—just the side (not even halfway around) is sufficient. The problem arises when we're in the car. I've long preferred lace-up shoes with a zipper'ed side for him, because it's harder for him to remove his shoes (and everything beneath). With these shoes, we can count on him being barefoot, asleep, or both.

The fit of the shoe was good but the strap at the ankle tore within one month. Poor quality.

This Shoe is really cute, however, too small for my daughter's SMO braces. This shoe does not come in half sizes otherwise I would exchange instead of returning them. I tried them on without her braces they were too narrow. Just for reference, she is 5 yrs old & wears a size 10 in all her shoes including her Sure Step sneakers that are made for orthotics.

These are cute shoes. My son was very excited about them and bummed that they didn't fit. They were a tad hard to zip, but he was very willing to spend the extra time and effort to get them zipped, because they were so interesting. We ordered his usual size (12) -- and his usual Nike size, specifically. They were too small. He does have a high instep, so I wondered if this style with the strap was designed differently to be certain that they didn't slip around. I ordered one size up (13), and those still didn't fit. Instead, he's wearing his sister's size 13 lace up Nike shoes for now (although they're huge on him) until we try some other styles. She also has some velcro strap Nike shoes that she loves, and that style (in this brand) has fit him just fine in the past. I held both shoes up bottom to bottom, and the toe area of these do seem slightly smaller than the other Nike shoes with the way the rubbery part comes together with the fabric part, in addition to the slight instep tightness issue. Other than that, construction and style is very nice.

Ordered these for my son. They have some weird zipper across the back and seem to run a little big. Returned them.

Disappointed. My daughter only wore them a handful of times and the zipper that I thought would be great for her to out her own shoes on, broke. Now worthless. Can't wear without a functioning zipper.

These shoes are super cute. I ordered them for my 10 y/o that has AFOs (braces) on both legs. I do realize the width says medium but I'm pretty sure the Flyease line was created for kids like my son that wear braces. They are super narrow. Like not even remotely close to fitting. I absolutely love the idea of these shoes and the potential of my son being able to put them on himself (with the zipper closure). However, they need to make them in Extra Wide. Also the zipper was crazy hard to pull. I was afraid I was going to break it when I was trying to unzip it.

The Velcro died on one shoe within 4 weeks and the second a month or so later - before my daughter had outgrown them. As a result, they fell off her feel every time she ran! So annoying!! Nike should be better than that!

Poor quality- a month and a half after purchasing the zipper broke off during my son’s P.E. class. This is the second pair of Nike shoes I have purchased this year that broke within a couple months.
