These are nice-looking sandals and the soles are pretty cushy. They are easy to put on and adjust the straps. The only problem is the base of the strap digs into the inside of your foot; in my case the left foot felt fine, but on the right foot, the connecting piece could be felt on my instep when I walked. These are not the kind of sandals that need "breaking in" because they are not leather, so unfortunately, I had to exchange them for something else. They may fit someone else just fine, though.

I planned on using these Sandals for small hikes, kayaking or just everyday use around town. First time I used them last weekend. I started to notice a pain on the bottom ball joints on the outside of my foot. Come to find out by a friend that has had Tevas before. Mentioned you have to break them in. I soon found myself with two big blisters on my ball joints. Incredibly pain and bleeding. I found out it was the triangle on the outsides that holds the straps together. Either the corner top of the triangle needs to be cut off or add a cushion or modify it somehow. Cause I have never had any sandals that have made me bleed like that. I would return them but they are comfortable aside from that triangle.

I often wear socks with my sandals and the Velcro for each of the adjustments can often catch those socks. An inconvenience, not a serious problem.

I received these and discovered that even though I ordered the exact same size as earlier this year, they were in fact smaller. I did a side by side comparison and you could see the difference in length. I ordered a size 12. I'll have to request a half size larger even though I've never worn a 12.5.

Soles are comfy, and I can walk in them for a long period of time. However the strap rubs my pinky toe and created some nasty blisters. Other than that great sandal

Not as comfortable as previous similar styles of Tevas I've worn for years with noticeably less arch support but still comfortable enough and seem well made.

So I am not the kind of person that wears sandals... but needed something for the lake... and they worked great. But would never wear them in the city even if these are the best looking ones by a mile

The design is not up to the mark. Fitting issue, the front part of the sandal is narrow and long. Wish they Came with 0.5 In size increment. I don't like the look and feel and the design of the sandal

I mistakenly purchased this instead of the correct ones. I thought I'd give them a try. They suck. No arch support, the straps don't sit in the right place and I can't walk in them without feeling like a duck. They have been put on my Nextdoor page for sale.

The surface between show and foot is TOO smooth - traps moisture and debris while walking in water and rough terrain.

I am a woman with size 13 narrow feet. 7 or 8 years ago i bought my first pair of men's tevas. Just love them but the straps are starting to look fuzzy and just not new. Bought this pair in men's 11. Comfort is wonderful but runs too big. Sending back and have reordered in a 10.

good for stepping into water with rocks that would be tough on bare feet. wish they would not delaminate; shoemaker said the glue he uses to fix problem would not last long.

Wear them constantly; biking, walking. The sole tends to peak off from rest of shoe. (Same thing happened to my previous pair.)

I've really every owned Teva sandals in my life. Yeah, I should branch out and try different things, but the pair I bought way back when Grunge ruled the music world were just plain awesome. You're going to laugh, but I still have them as beat up as they are. The soles eventually broke down and came apart, but that's nothing a trip to the local big box home improvement store couldn't fix. I used Gorilla Glue by the way. The main reason I gravitated towards Teva was their design. At the time, there were very few sandal options that had straps across the toes instead of the flip flop design. I could never, ever wear the flip flop design with that tang jabbing between my toes. Nope. Never, ever. That original pair was robust, the straps were long enough, the foot base wide enough. They were just plain good. Fast forward a few years and I could see the quality declining. The Hurricane model was OK, but their, what I call base model, is just plain garbage. Many of the issues I have with the Hurricanes can be said for the base model, but I'll just focus on the Hurricanes. The 2 main issues I have with the current design is the shortness of the straps and the width of the foot base. Yeah, I have a wide foot and am a larger dude, so there's more flesh to cross over, but the fact that the strap across the top of the foot has to be drawn so far back that the hook portion of the Velcro is against the plastic guide is disconcerting. That means I'm limited to that width, as the strap won't pass through the plastic guide with the sewn in Velcro portion. I understand that some folks have the same size (11) foot but a smaller frame, but another 1/2" to 1" longer straps would work wonders. It's also not likely to make it such that folks with smaller feet are walking on the straps (because they have to be drawn over to tighten). The second issue I have also concerns the width of the product. The foot base seems to be shrinking over the years in both the distance between the straps lines coming from the sandal as well as the overall product width. The sandals I have purchased in recent years fail much more quickly. The soles blow apart quite rapidly, and my perception is a decline in quality material being used. All in the name of cost cutting, I suppose. I'm stuck with this new purchase for a while, but I need to find a store with a wide variety of sandals to evaluate.

I am a woman and bought the men's size because I have wide feet. The length and width are both true to size. I REALLY wanted to like these shoes because I need a sturdy yet comfortable sandal for my trip to Egypt. The lower sandal strap hits the bone of the big toe and rubs uncomfortably. I noticed a little rubbing before wearing them out, but thought that a couple adjustments would take care of it. I've walked at least 10 miles in these shoes and cannot get over the rubbing. I gave up and swithed back to the brand of sandal I was wearing before. I thought it was my foot, but a woman I work with said hers hit uncomfortably in the same exact spot. I really wanted a lightweight yet sturdy and comfortable sandal but these have a slight issue that I cannot deal with.

I've been wearing Tevas of one flavor or another for the last 17 years, and they're what I wear most days. Apart from a couple of one-off purchases, they've all been Hurricanes, mostly Hurricane 2s. I've hiked at least a couple hundred miles a year in them for the last five or six years. Last year I went up Conejos Peak in them, and I've pretty thoroughly tested their capabilities on a variety of other terrains in the west. The Hurricane 2 was wonderful. Hurricanes since, with the new sole and deeper tread, are not. It looks like a more aggressive tread for hiking, but the sole is too thick and squishy. It reduces my ability to feel the ground. Balance is harder because I can't always predict how they're going to squish around under me. On a side slope, it compresses more on the downhill side of the shoe than the uphill, making them more likely to roll your ankle. Bottom line, they're less stable and it's harder to keep yourself planted on rocks or sideslopes. If you're just poking around town, the squishiness also means a bit of a gain in comfort and it's probably a step up from the Hurricane 2. But if you're going out onto any remotely difficult terrain they are much worse. I stocked up when when the Hurricane 2s were discontinued, and got a couple pairs of XLT2s as that pile dwindled, hoping they'd be OK. Now I'm down to my last pair of Hurricane 2s. After those give up the ghost, I guess I'll just have to look for alternative hiking sandals. I don't really consider any of the post-Hurricane 2 sandals suitable for hiking except in pretty level and easy terrain. Looking at the rest of the current Teva lineup, it looks like they've gone with the thick squishy sole approach across the board. If anyone at Teva is reading--could you please create something more like the Hurricane 2s?

Returning these because with my higher arches, I can't detect any significant arch support with this shoe. I like the style and color at lot. I'm a woman with a wider foot at the ball of my foot so I have better success with men's size 7's for women's size 9 to 9.5.

I got 2 pairs of the Hurricane XLT2 Sandals. The pair I got for my husband immediately had the bottom sole portion of the sandal come completely off the very first time he wore them. My sandals lasted 2 years before the same thing happened. I tried to shoe glue mine back together and it did not hold up. The sandals are in good shape other than the two pieces that make up the base will not stay together. We wear our shoes in the water a lot so I'm guessing a sandal with the base as one solid piece would work better. Although, my mom has Tevas from the 90s and wears hers in the water all the time and they are perfect after all of these years.

The sole separates on these. I got my second pair about a year ago and they are falling apart. The first pair lasted almost two years I think. I don't know how much I'm expected to spend to get a pair of reliable sandals!

Purchased the Hurricane XLT2 as a first time buyer and the sandals came with a defect. Separation of the foam from the strap on the footbed. Not sure if I would gamble on a replacement again.
