I got these for a backpacking trip, and they worked great! Used them mostly around the campsite, but did a little hiking nearby and they had excellent grip on rocks. I'm usually a size 8 in sneakers, but according to their size chart, I was between a 7 and 7.5. Went with the 7 and it fits. Do wish there was a 7.5 option for a little extra space past my toes, but overall, highly recommend! I have a pretty narrow heel that didn't fit in Chacos, so glad these are so adjustable-- since feet come in all shapes and sizes.

These are great sandals. Straps are comfortable and secure. The shoe is well-made and the footbed is very comfortable - on the cushy side, which was a surprise for this kind of sports shoe. They are wide, which is fine for me as my foot is on the wider side. My normal shoe size is a 7 for just about any kind of shoe. These seem a bit large, but I decided to keep them. I’ve worn them several times and they are fine, but there is a good bit of room around the top of the shoe. I might have sent them back and tried a 6.5 but they fit well enough that I went with it.

I love the white. The fit is not comfortable for me because of how the front strap crosses my foot. There is too much pressure in one place.

Use them for boating and water sports. Bought these many years ago and wore them out. This pair was a replacement...I really like them.

Comfortable right out of the box, however after walking about 1 to 2 hrs, pain began in my feet and shins. Eventually affecting my lower back. No support for my problem flat feet. Must return. I've a difficult time finding the perfect summer sandal.

I wish the arch support were a little bit better, but all in all I'm happy with my purchase.

I really loved these sandals. They were very comfortable & fit well, however there is a "groove" in the design of the inner sole in the area a the ball of my foot that felt like a pinch every step I took. I was really bummed. Also loved the color.
I'd also recommend:
Born, Keen, Ahnu, Nike, Alegria

The base is super comfortable - especially for a sandal! The plastic triangles that connect the straps can be a little irritating, but loosening the straps a bit mostly alleviates it without losing too much support.

Classic Teva design, with sturdy well-designed straps in a pleasing bold pattern. Foot bed is cushioned and comfortable. The sole feels stiffer than my old pair of hurricanes (they lasted me almost 10 years of frequent use!) but maybe they just need to be worn in. I wear a 9.5 on the wider side and a 9 was fine.

I bought this sandal primarily for walking my dog on the beach and hot summer bike rides. Due to a sports injury, I have needed to start wearing a more supportive sandal than my old worn out flip flops. It's so hot living at the beach in North Carolina that you definitely want to wear sandals over shoes whenever possible. These sandals are perfect- I can walk my dog long distances and even if my feet have are wet or sand on them, they are still comfortable and do not slip. They are supportive enough for long bike rides too. My only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that I wish the sandals came in half sizes. I am a true 7.5 and I ordered a size 8. The sole and straps are a bit long for my slim foot. However, they do not chafe or slip and the extra length will probably help prevent me from stubbing my toe at some point. Awesome sandal, will def be a TEVA fan for life!

I am happy with my purchase over all. However, I would like to see one change in the design. That would be a higher arch which would give more support for the foot.

I needed a practical summer sandal and liked the colors available as well as the level of support on this one. **Size note: I did pick "true to size" but would say if you're a 7 1/2 to go to 7, where it's very comfortable. 8 would be huge. I've been wearing for a few weeks now and really like them! I walk the dog, wore them for some lake "swimming", wear them inside to keep my feet from getting all dirty. I wish the Velcro soft side faced out since I have the furriest animals in the world. If the straps aren't tightened to their fullest for a fit then the hard Velcro barbs catch ALL the fuzz. I've also had one spot that keeps rubbing on my right foot by the blue triangle attachment. Adjustments haven't quite fixed it.

These are so comfortable! I love the padded heel strap. I wore them river walking and I don't recommend them for that. They slipped on my foot in the water and readjusted the straps. That didn't help. The are great for daily wear just didn't work for water and rock hiking.

I use these as my hiking sandals. They have great traction and a supportive some that is still light (unlike my chacos that were so heavy, gave me blisters on the soles of my feet, and stayed wet). The soles of these dry very fast. The only complaint is the front strap cut into my skin the first few hikes but could be user area. I loosened them and made sure the Velcro was covered bc that is what cut me. Love the vibrant colors and what the company stands for.

Great for yardwok and gardening - waterproof and surefooted. I've had three pairs over 5 years, used daily over summers until the top half of the sole separated from the lower and became a tripping hazard. My second pair was replaced free when I sent the first back, but this time was in too much of a hurry to go through this process after I'd duct-taped the two halves together in the front and found they were too slippery on hills.

I owned my first Tevas in the 1990s, which I loved, and they were similar to this pair, so when I decided to buy another pair after all these years I tried to find the pair that looked like what I had almost 30 years ago (ahem). In 2020, the universal doesn't disappoint. The tread is very sturdy and great for short summer hikes or everyday errands, the footbed is very comfortable (although I really loved the footbed of my 1990s version-more of a pattern instead of smooth) and I don't get any blisters on my feet from where the straps are on the sides of your toes or ankles. I usually wear a 9.5 shoe so I wasn't sure if I should order a 9 or 10. I decided to try the 9 and the size fits perfectly! Kudos Teva for keeping/improving on a style that has been around for a while!

I walk and hike in my Tevas almost daily. The Hurricane XLT2 model does not have the arch support of other versions I have had, and the strapping is more abrasive. Otherwise, however, they are comfortable in typical Teva style and great for shorter outings or with strategically placed moleskin patches. Better arch support would be a great improvement. I do like the color selection, and would encourage even broader possibilities of that option.

Over the years I have tried to find a hiking Teva that had as comfortable straps as my first pair, many years ago. Finally these straps are comfortable and not harsh or stiff. The footbed still doesn't match what I used to have, but they are very comfortable. Wore them camping and they were awesome. Love the look!

The sandals were extremely comfortable from a support perspective. However, I have to wear bandaids every time I wear them because I get blisters.
