This shoe has the awesome Vionic footbed. However, in order to get it so my foot was secure in the shoe, I had to tighten the strap so much that it pressed painfully into the top of my foot.

I had purchased a pair of these in size 9 - half a size larger than I normally wear - from a small local shop. I told the owner they felt too big and she said that 8-1/2 would be too small (she may have said that because she didn't have any in stock). I had her punch an extra hole in the straps, which should have been another clue that they were too big, and my feet still slid around in them, although they were otherwise comfortable. I wore them for a few weeks but they just seemed too big and not very safe because my feet were always sliding from side to side. Finally ordered these in 8-1/2 and they do fit better but are still too wide, even though I don't have a narrow foot, and my feet still slide from side to side in them. I have the same problem a majority or reviewers seem to have - these are too wide and the toe thing (don't know what it's called) is too long, so the top of the shoe isn't snug on your foot. The arch support is good and they're well-made. These would be perfect if they were made to hold the foot in place, but they feel like walking in sand. I had very high hopes for these, but am quite disappointed.

I wanted to love these, and they look pretty good... but the sole is really big and they're kind of floppy on your foot.

I wanted to keep these and tried to make them work, but had to return. The sandal fits perfect and is very comfortable, looks great, except the buckling on the back strap is the issue. There are 2 small elastic bands back there, and the sandal either flops around loose, or if I tighten it up, my foot is pushed forward. Very uncomfortable to walk in. They should have kept the buckling style the same as the previous model. Very disappointed as I love Vionic.

Here's the thing. This is a good looking sandal, and it has the footbed for which vionic is known, which is what I was looking for after my daughter "borrowed" my current vionics (no longer available). I ordered the 6.5 W and it was true to length and width. Unfortunately, I had to return the shoe, because the strap that goes across the back was freakishly short, My heel was not hanging off the back, so the shoe was not too short, but because the strap was tiny, I could not get it through the buckle enough to buckle it, even on the first hole. Very disappointing. I have had many shoes with a strap across the back, and this has not happened to me before, It's possible I got a "lemon" that was not made properly in the factory, but I don't think so. I have medium to thick tendons on the back of my ankles. If you have small or small-medium tendons/ankles, this might work for you. I wasn't sure how to score these, because this is a unique fit problem,

Very comfortable! If you don't make the ankle strap tight enough your foot may slide off. I also wish the ankle strap was longer.

The shoes are very comfortable. The only thing is it feels wider than my actual shoe size. Otherwise, the shoes look and feel great.

The shoe is very comfortable after I broke it in a bit. I have flat fat feet so the upper was slightly uncomfortable until I wore them a few times.

I’m typically a 9-9.5, with a medium width foot, but I got a 9W in these. It fits perfectly. I like these but they are not sandals for everyday or all day in my opinion. While the fit is perfect and the footbed pretty miraculous for my plantar fasciitis-suffering feet, the straps are secure enough for say a special occasion or a calm office workday but not necessarily for running after toddlers. I agree with the other reviewers who mention this issue. I still am thankful to have something to wear to work that supports my feet and looks cute, but these wouldn’t be my first choice for traveling.

I usually wear 9-9.5, purchased size 9, which was definitely too large. Primarily too long, yet a bit wide, as well. Love the style but, couldn’t pull it off, while sandal was too large:(. Will find a friend to appreciate these, as they’re too large to flatter any stylish wear. I’d definitely enjoy the 8.5.

Very attractive sandals but my feet moved around too much. The elastic loop to hold the strap is a little loose and may tear off easily as I noticed in the pairs I tried on. I wear a 6.5 but my feet are skinny which may have affected the fit.

Nice shoe. I’m returning because it was too big, also bottom of shoe squeaked when I walked.

saved my life as a pregnant bridesmaid who had to stand all day, did have to order 1/2 size smaller than normal, not the most attractive sandal but the comfort is worth it

Love love love them. Look great, fit great and offer great support. I was walking all day at an amusement park and they felt wonderful. This was not my first pair of vionic sandals and they won't be my last.

Very comfy and great for wide feet, but slides around too much while walking to be used for a big trip. Great if you just need shoes for around town. Needs more straps to hold the foot in place.

Very comfortable sandals, no need to break them in as they were great from the beginning.

I bought these in a size 10. They were way too big. I ended up having to go down two sizes to a size 8. Everything else about these shoes is great. Great support and look very good.

These are comfortable but a little clunky and the ankle strap is too short.

I ordered a half size down based on reviews and they fit. The tops are cute, the soles are a bit casual to wear with summer dresses, but I need the arch support because of plantar fasciitis. They feel so much nicer than a flat sandal! They’re loose on my feet, so if I cross my legs, it flops around, but my flat sandals do that too. Pretty sure these are going to be my go-to sandals all summer due to the comfort level!

Very cute, supportive, and comfy! Perfect for high volume feet - which is the opposite for me. I'm sad to send them back.

I am a true size 8 with a medium with foot, I thought the brown and the black both were too big for my feet even on the tightest buckle, I'm returning both for a smaller size I'll be keeping the black the brown looked to me to be not so vibrant in real life.

I wish I had bought a smaller size. The shoes have a lot of extra toe space which looks bad with a sandal. They have also stretched and now flop around and I can’t tighten them anymore. Can’t even add a hole as there is not anymore room on the strap. I will buy a smaller pair and hope I can sell my 9.5 to help pay for the new pair as they are not cheap.

i loved the shoe, its just that the instep was very large. so if you have a high instep they will be great. the shoe just dangled from my foot

I ordered these sandals because of the reviews that said they were loose over the top. I have such a high instep that I thought these sandals might be the answer. Alas, they were not. They were too loose across the top on me and that means there's a LOT of room. I also thought the back strap would be better if it were velcro instead of a buckle, but that's nit-picky. I liked the color of the leather, the footbed was comfortable, tons of arch support, just too much space between the footbed and the t-strap! A rare miss for Vionic.

The fit was perfect (length & width) and I love the look. However, the buckles rubbed a blister on the sides of my feet. I ended up wearing a small bandage on each foot to protect that area. Then walking was very comfortable, and the bandages were mostly hidden by the strap. There doesn't seem to be a way to keep the buckles from rubbing! If I had worn these for a few hours before packing them for a week long trip, I probably would have returned them because of the buckle issue. Based on the other reviews, this doesn't seem to be a common problem.
