These are very comfortable shoes. I read all the reviews about trying different sizes and the shoe feeling small and the heel being loose, but at the end of the day my usual size, the 8.5 fit me the best. There is a little bit of looseness at the heel for me but it is in no danger of coming off, and fits like many other of my shoes. I bought this shoe because I am going on a trip to Japan involving a lot of walking as well as the need to slip shoes off and on easily - and these shoes will be perfect. The beet red color is nice enough as an accent but not overpowering, it's really rather subtle and I like it!

Perfect fit and comfortable right out of the box.

I have an extremely hard time finding shoes that fit and are comfortable, because of numerous issues with my feet. This shoe felt great, with lots of room in the toebox, which I need.

Use a shoehorn, that's all I have to say..... If you don't have a shoe horn they will be difficult to get on and I think that is what is being expressed in the other reviews. If I didn't have a shoe horn I probably would have said they were to tight and narrow and the opening wasn't big enough but I have a shoehorn and I use it. Once I used the shoe horn they were great .... Right now I am wearing them with a thick pair of athletic socks to help stretch and break them in a bit before I really want to wear them and they are just fine and very comfortable. The leather is a medium brown and pretty soft so I think they will stretch well, and they are casual enough to wear with anything, unlike my day hikers that I usually wear all winter but look like hikers. I have a pretty typical size 10 so I can pretty much wear any size 10 shoe. I might have a bit of a higher arch that can be a pain sometimes but very seldom do I send shoes back based on size. I was concerned after reading the reviews but decided to give them a shot anyway and they are great, I love them, but use a shoe horn. I use one with most of my slip on shoes anyway so I don't damage the rear of the shoe.

I was nervous about getting these due to all the comments about sizing but I did not have that issue. I have a pretty average foot, I can pretty much wear any size 10 I put on and I seldom have to return shoes due to fit. I bought these despite the comments due to Zappos great return policy and on me they are fine. I do tend to run a bit wide across the toe but these were fine. I am not finding the heel slippage that others have commented about. I did find that I needed to put them on with a shoe horn which I honestly do anyway simply because I don't want to damage the back of the shoe and the shoe horn helps them last longer. I am actually pretty pleased with these. I needed a flat comfortable shoe that I could wear beating around campus.

After reading other reviews I was concerned these shoes would be way too small and tight. Just the opposite. The length is great, width exact and just a very comfortable shoe. And, one day delivery was over the top!! Thank you Zappos.
