We LOVE Billy's around here!!! My son needs a hinged AFO on one foot so that's a pain to get a shoe to fit- until Billy's. Until Zappos gets its "Single shoe" purchasing options going (CAN'T WAIT) we had to buy 2 pairs and the right shoe of the smaller size is a complete waste. Not to mention that it costs me 110 for ONE pair that fits my guy. I'm hoping he moves up in sizes incrementally so I can use the other larger size shoe and next time just order the next size up each time. By then I bet the single shoe program will be underway, lol. These are pretty well made. I do notice the threads looking like they are getting lose on these and the prior "set" I had but they haven't fallen apart. We still use our last set for play shoes. my son's hinge has worn almost fully through the side of the shoe in 2 spots but it's a small price to pay when dealing with AFO fit issues. If we bought low tops it wouldn't be an issue but my guy loves these. So many kids at his therapy use these as well and the ones who were on the fence about them have since purchased, and loved, them. Highly recommend!!

My son loves these shoes. He has low tops and these high tops, as well. These are his second pair now. He would get a somewhat better fit if they had half-sizes, but he's six years old and growing quickly. He loves them because they don't have velcro (he hates the sound velcro makes), they're comfortable, you can fine-tune the fit by tightening or loosening laces, but he can get them on and off quickly with the zipper.

THIS IS THE THIRD PAIR IN LESS THAN A YEAR BECAUSE WE HAD TO HAVE ANOTHER COLOR HI-TOP FOR WINTER. LOVE THESE SHOES!!!

Billy's are a godsend to anyone with a child who needs orthotics. I'm so glad that they exist and are developing larger sizes just in time for my son's foot growth to need them!

These shoes were absolutely gorgeous. My patient cried when I had to return them due to the width. Just wouldn't fit his new afos!! i recommend these for anyone for any occasion or issue

My son has had a pair over over a year. They look GREAT! We ordered 2 sizes bigger to accommodate his AFOs. They worked great to protect his feet during different weather. He does not walk (uses a wheelchair). They look brand new still!

Purchased these for my 4 yr old son with an AFO. He is a size 11, ordered a size 12. Seems true to size. I love how easy it is to zip around the AFO and My son loves to wear them and loves how they look!

These shoes are very well made. The cushion feels very comfortable. I purchased this type of shoe, with zipper, because my daughter uses foot braces and I needed a shoe where placing it on is not too hard and is comfortable for her as well. The brace fit well but I will have to return because the shoe cannot close because of the way the brace was made.

Fantastic shoes! I’m sure any kid would enjoy them, my little guy has plastic orthotic inserts (AFOs) and they literally save me 10 minutes a day of struggling to fit his feet into other types of ( lace up, Velcro, zip...your name it we’ve tried it) sneakers! So so so easy to use! You won’t regret this purchase!

Fantastic idea! Good-looking shoe with quality construction, and all made to fit with AFOs. Ultimately my daughter wanted to go with a more traditionally feminine style, but she was close to loving these. One note: Since AFO wearers may be buying a 1/2 size or full size up, their toes may hit differently. My daughter mentioned that her toe hit right at the zipper and it was "tickly."
