Customer Reviews On Cloud X

I thought this was a replacement to the Cloud but apparently it is performance model. Too is completely redesigned but bottom is the same. The shoe hits my outer ankle so I am returning.

Unfortunately - I LOVE the look of this shoe, but the width is just too narrow. I'm normally a regular width, but know I wouldn't be able to work out in these. Super sad!

Not for me

It's not what I was expecting the cheap material I don't send it back because I threw them away the boxes I don't like

I’m bummed by this shoe. About 6 months in I got a hole in the toe. I’ve had two other of the same shoe in different colors and wore them until there was no sole left. These were disappointing.

I run 5-7 miles a day. I’m a traditional Brooks girl, but figured I’d try these as folks love them and they look spiffy. They felt like the same amount of support and cushion as running with plywood on my feet. They hurt so badly after 1 run. Sent them straight back and was thankful to have Brooks to wear for my next day’s run.

So bummed-I wanted to like this shoe! I LOVED the On Cloud 1.0- but they changed the shoe. It's more rigid and I don't have that spring in my step. It's a nice looking shoe- but a little too responsive for me. I literally felt the road and I liked the little spring/cushion in the On Cloud 1.0. Looks like I will be hunting once again for the best running shoe.

I absolutely LOVE these shoes, EXCEPT... you should know that the way the sole is shaped allows for stones from the road to get lodged in the portion under the heel and it totally stinks to have to stop running to dislodge them, not to mention that it feels unsanitary to do so!! I hope they redesign the sole asap.

These are not like walking on clouds. They were stiff as a board and hard. I wanted to take them off 5 minutes into my workout

Like many reviewers I wanted to love these. They are not at all uncomfortable but they have no support - I mean ZERO- and aren’t particularly flattering. I am a Brooks fan but always looking for a great running shoe. I walk and run avidly and I won’t even wear these to run errands, although they would be fine for just everyday wear- they just aren’t flattering enough to even be good for that. I cannot fathom running in these unless you’re a teenager or someone who doesn’t need any support. Will give away.

This was my second pair of On Running shoes. Big disappointment. The tongue cut into my ankles -- I did not have this problem at all with my last pair. Also, there were only regular shoelaces, not the slip-on ones. And I think these were someone else's return, they seemed to have been worn. Returned!

It felt like a slipper... not enough support for me...I am. Brooks addiction type and hoped this great EUROPEAN styling would work for me...Alas, no, but Brooks, look at the style and colors this hip Swiss company offers!

I LOVE On brand shoes for running! Love the Cloud. I am on my third pair and I've purchased them for both of my teenage daughters. Mine have been great and have held up well. I love how light they are. But I bought this pair for my daughter and at the steep price of $140 I expected them to last. She's had them for just over a year. They've been worn 15-20 times in that year and the sole of the shoes has come completely off! Started disconnecting and is now to a point that they are unusable. Hoping ON will replace but we haven't heard back from the company despite emailing them. Usually my ON brand review would be all 5 stars but this particular pair has been super disappointing.

The sole feels weird. The heel dips, but not evenly. Moreso on the outside edge/back corner. I prefer the original Cloud, and the Cloudflyer is good too. This one is going back.

It digs into my ankle bones

Extremely short and narrow. Did not fit even half size up.

I have had this style before and loved them, so I bought the same exact shoe. This pair however, rubs my left ankle. It must be an irregularity in the construction.

Too much ankle padding made shoes very tight. I'll have to wear heel lifts to relieve the rubbing. Will not purchase withpoght trying on different On Cloud shoes.

Uncomfortable

Extremely tight and narrow. Dissatisfied wanted them to fit like the other clouds I have bought. Such a variety in fit from one bc style to the other.

I absolutely love the On Cloud sneakers I have and these could not be further from those. I promptly returned with no regrets. Will order the Cloud

Stiff, the heel sits too high and very uncomfortable.

These shoes fi t well and are comfortable- I bought them to wear casually and while walking the dog. Unfortunately, I would never recommend anyone purchase these. I've won them about 5 times, and the plastic on the edge of the laces came off and the lace came out of the top two holes. Without the plastic, it is impossible to relace the shoe. I tried to buy replacement laces, but they are too thick for On's narrow loops. I tried to make a warranty claim with On, but their warranty claim form is faulty. I would never buy shoes that take this much maintenance after so few wears.

I have the On Cloud X from 2019, and it’s my absolute favorite shoe. It fits perfectly. Unfortunately, the 2021 version is terrible for me in comparison. The inside of the shoe is higher volume so my foot is less secure, and the sides come up higher and jam against my ankle when I’m standing. I had planned to just keep buying the On Cloud X indefinitely, but now I have to take it off my list. I am super bummed!
