The shoe is a much tighter fit than its predecessor unfortunately.

The shape of Cloud 2.0 looked more like a human foot than most other athletic shoes. I tried a pair for that reason. I normally wear a 12 M and ordered that size. I found them very snug through midsection, but the heel and toe areas were fine. The best lacing system for my comfort was traditional method and not using the lower 2 loops. There is an odd sensation on the bottom of my feet with these shoes. I can feel large nubs through insole. Some wearers may find this pleasant, but I do not. I am 5'11" 180 lbs. - no light weight, but not that heavy either. This feeling is not a deal breaker so I am keeping the Clouds.

I have three other pair of On's and had high hopes for these. Liked the styling and slip on lacing system BUT they squeaked too much. After trying them on a couple different days I kept hearing the noise to I returned. The On 50/50 so far is my favorite.

Very comfortable shoes, but not very durable. I returned the first pair after they started showing signs of wear on the heel after only about 25-30 miles (everyday wear, not running/training). Zappos was kind enough to replace them, but the second pair shows the exact same wear pattern plus my pinky toes have worn all the way through the mesh on the sides of each shoe! I've gotten good mileage out of them but they're much more worn-looking than I think is reasonable. I won't be purchasing another pair of Cloud shoes, and would need to be convinced to spend the $$$ on a different ON shoe.

A bit disappointed. Normally wear neutrals from Brooks and ASICS. This just felt odd. Really wanted to like it. Felt like there was a bit of support in the footbed vs other similar shows. Not as much support as I was expecting. Returned them.

I love the way these look, but they were quite narrow, and I don't have particularly wide feet. There was a part of the mesh that scrunched up when I walked, and was uncomfortable. I ended up returning, but was bummed because I love the style. I ended up going back to my tried and true, Mizzuno Wave Riders. Luckily, Zappos is the best and makes returning so easy.
I'd also recommend:

The first pair of Clouds I bought were the single most comfortable pair of shoes I’ve ever owned. I wore them until they fell apart. I moved to the 2.0 for my second purchase, in the same 10 I bought for the first pair. These were much tighter on my feet than my first pair. With a business trip looming I threw out my old ones before I realized this difference in sizing — dumb mistake on my part. Definitely go larger than you think you need with these.

Way to narrow and small. Should’ve gone up a whole size. Love the look. Wish they made wide widths

The 2.0 seems like a different maybe less wide than the originals. I’ve had about 5 pairs of the cloud brand, same ones 8.5. When the 2.0 cane our, it should have been an easy fit. Disappointed.

Great style, I bought a half size larger than usual and they still were a half to full size to small, super narrow. Having to send them back.

Purchased these shoes based on a friend’s recommendation that they were lightweight and ultra comfortable. I’ll agree with lightweight - they would pack easily for travel. As for comfort - the shoe just felt sort of sloppy on my foot. The cushioning was average and there is zero arch support. This, they went back to the shop.

My 1.0's were wearing out so I tried the 2.0. The design changes in the 2.0 seem to make the shoe much less comfortable than the 1.0. It's hard to tell why this is, although the sole seems to have less pliability/softness than in the 1.0. The individual "cells" on the sole have smaller cavities are more rigid on the 2.0, giving it less softness and less flexibility. The uppers feel much tighter than the 1.0, possibly because the sole overall has less flexibility. Again, it just seems some key things seem to have changed in the 2.0, making it much less comfortable. I hope it's not because the are simply trying to cut corners on materials/processes. I hope they look at this issue. Going back to the 1.0's if I can find them.

Comfortable and look pretty good. That said, It’s true that rocks do get stuck in the bottom of the sole. But most shocking was that they completely fell apart in the wash. The soles literally came apart from the shoes…shocking for an expensive shoe!

Shoes are not black or even gray. The color is suppose to be slate, and they arrived navy blue. Disappointing.

I needed to return them because the toe box was too shallow. Just sitting or standing my big toe was pushed down by the material. I couldn’t wiggle my big toe because it was already squeezed from top and bottom. You could see my toe pushing up through the fabric and I’ve learned that something pushing down on my toes all day drives me crazy and hurts. I need just a couple more millimeters depth and I don’t have huge feet 9, medium width.
They seemed comfortable, and the length and width were good, arch was in the right place, etc I’ve only ever had one other pair of shoes that were shallow like that and I hated them so I knew these had to go back unfortunately.

I’m so sad - I had a pair of these previously and wore an 8. When I put these in my basket Zappos recommended I order a 7. I was worried - I normally wear a 7.5 but an 8 in my first pair fit perfect! So they ran small. I had originally ordered an 8 just because I had before and sent them back.. Now it appears they run really big. The 7.5 is too big and digs into my heals. I think I’ll just pass rather than try for a 3rd pair in size 7. If you like these and Zappo recommends a whole size smaller than you e orders in the past - just do it!

The break-in was ok, didn't really bother me. Doesn't really feel like it cushions. Design is great. Very breathable too, so great in warm weather, but your toes will get cold in the winter.
The problem for mine is that they quite literally started falling apart around 5-6 months of owning them (wearing them every day). I definitely expected to own them for at-least a year, though this proves to be difficult when a hole has developed on the side—I have never had this happen on a shoe before. Also, some of the adhesives started to come apart. All in all, if you like the design, go for it. That's really it about these shoes. Know that they are not crazy comfortable, and that they will fall apart if you wear them everyday.

My husband had these shoes for less than 3 months and already big holes by the big toe. He has had the terry cloth and they held up for over a year. These are a total waste of money.
