I have been wearing Hoka's now for several years and have come to expect great cushioning; however, I thought the soles were a lot stiffer with a minimal arch support when compared to other Hoka styles (like Bondi and Vanquish). I did order my usual Hoka size of 8M and they fit really well - the cushioning just wasn't there for me. The new Elevon style has much better cushioning (similar to Vanquish).

I have been wearing Hoka’s for three years and have bought 9.5 as I always felt they ran small. Mosr athletic shoes I’m a 9. It seems that Hoka have corrected their sizing as the 9.5 are too big. I’m exchanging for a 9.

I've been running in the Clayton for quite some time, so I decided to give these a try, since they are supposed to be the new replacement. The Clayton was a great shoe for me, but these do not fit the same. They are much narrower in the toebox and do not work for me. It seems like many of the newer Hoka's are steering away from the roomy toebox that was Hoka was known for. Would've been a great shoe otherwise.

I really wanted to like these. I liked the lower drop and the wide toebox. The colorway was great. The shoe felt light weight and good on my foot walking. Upon running in them, the sole size seemed to be the area tripping me up, literally. I scuffed my steps three times on my run with these, I just couldn't find my footing with them. The next day, both knees ached. Too bad.

These made my extensor tendonitis so much worse! Wish they would've helped . I bought them because other ppl raved about them being that we work on concrete floors 8-12 hrs a day.

These shoes are very pretty in looks but the arch hits to far back on my feet and rubbed blisters.

I have run in HOKAs since the beginning of the brand. Bondi. Clifton. Arahi. I ordered the Mach 2 since it was on sale and returned the first pair and exchanged for a half size smaller. That pair was too big as well so I returned them and went back to the Arahi in my usual size (7.5).

Wanted to use it for weekly short runs and race days as a Clifton 2 replacement. The sole is dead, not responsive, and this shoe is impossible to lace securely if you have a narrow foot. The only positive is that it seems to be modeled on a semi-straight last. This is an expensive pair of shoes that will just be upcycled.

These. shoe are very light. and cushioned. Bought. a. size. 6 which. I usually do with sneakers. I. wear. a size. 5.5. shoe. I. find. I sub. my the. front part of. my. foot on. certain surfaces. and almost trip. and. fall. Maybe. a size. 5.5. would. have been. better. because they are. so. wide in the. front.

Wide enough to fit inserts and are comfortable but the sole was soft foam and flimsy enough that I could scratch off the heel strike surface using my fingernail as if it were made of styrofoam. I'd believe it if someone told me these were from Walmart. In one word: junk.

I had to stop running after only a few miles because the inside of my foot arch felt tender. When I looked I had blisters on the inside of the arches of both of my feet.

I would not recommend this shoe to anyone who's looking for an updated Clayton. I have a narrow heel and a normal/medium width forefoot. I run between 35-40 miles per week and rotated between two pairs of Clayton 2's. I purchased these Mach's under the assumption that they were an updated Clayton, and, it's very wrong! The toe box and the midfoot are significantly more narrow- enough that while running the same distance on the same trails with the same socks I get the skin rubbed off on both the inside and outside edges of my feet. The shoe is longer by a small degree, so I randomly trip and running down steep hills is uncomfortable. I would return these if I could, but I'm outside of the 30 day grace period.
On a positive note, if you have a narrow foot and order a half size down from what you typically wear in Hoka's, you will absolutely love this cushioned well-built shoe!

I've been running in the Hupana, which I ABSOLUTELY LOVE, but I wanted to buy at my local Fleet Feet store, which stopped stocking the Hupana. I selected the Mach because it was the most comparable model. Big mistake! I usually wear an 8 or 8.5 in running shoes, but I had to size down to a 7.5 in these. The upper offers no stability, so when I ran in these, my feet floated around on top of the hard and unforgiving platform-like sole. After four miles in these, my feet were cramping, my hip developed excruciating pain, and my knees hurt. I am not someone who typically gets pain during runs.

I was surprised because I'd heard that Hoka's are the most comfortable shoe around. First I put them them on and was surprised that the insole was flat and hard. Then I was even more surprised that they were BIG. My feet are a true 10 and occasionally even 10's are too tight. Not this show-- it was big! I tried to give it a shot anyway and my toes got all cut up. Overall, a disappointment :(

Switched to this shoe from my worn out Clifton's hoping to get a lighter shoe for medium distance runs... instead I feel like I'm running in a pair of chuck taylors with the lack of arch support and flat too roomy feel.... disappointed!
