I can't say enough good things about the Mach. Prior to the Machs, I raced and trained (my speedwork and tempo runs) in Claytons, which I loved. I didn't think HOKA ONE ONE could make such substantial improvements in a shoe that was already great, but they have done that with the Mach. They are super light (great for racing) but there is still the support and substance to them that I like. The inner/upper is even softer than before- I raced an Olympic distance triathlon in April sockless and had no chafing, blisters, etc. If you are looking for an all-around shoe for daily training or a light, responsive shoe for an upcoming race, I HIGHLY recommend a pair of Machs.

As a medical professional, I have been really impressed with Hoka. I ran Boston in Arahis since my medial arch tends to ache with long distances. I decided to give Mach a tray after having Clifftons which as a bit narrow for my runs but great for on my feet at work. Mach is incredibly light and responsive and I really dig the great Hibiscus color - they need to make more styles in that awesome color! I sized my usual size and perhaps I could have gone down a half size as the fabric has a bit of give. Great shoes. Love them! Don't stop making this color, please! :)

I was a former Clayton wearer, both the original and Clayton 2, and what I love most about the Mach is that it improved upon every quality from its ancestor. The fit around the foot is so light and comfy that I forget I'm wearing it! It hugs my midfoot in a supportive way, and has a roomy toebox - no blisters from the marathon or IM 70.3 I completed this spring in hot conditions! The ride is not only responsive and springy, but it has an slight soft touch to it that I didn't feel with the Clayton, with an even smoother ride. One of the best lightweight running and racing shoes out there.

I love these running shoes. I do light jogging a couple times a week and they fit my needs. I especially love that they’re so light. I think the toe box is a little tight but it’s not uncomfortable and they loosen up a bit the more I use them. There’s good stretch in the shoe to mold to your foot.

Love this pair. I feel like I can walk for miles, as a matter of fact, I just did. Knee pain relatively less; unable to say pain is 100% gone since my joints are too old and worn out, but these shoes do help. Love the color!!!!!
My only concern is how am I going to keep them clean with so much usage! Share ideas of what has worked for you, pelase.

Great support, responsive and plenty of room for my toes to splay. This is my 1st pair of Hokas and I'm hooked! Eliminated a persistent problem that I was experiencing with muscle soreness following my runs. Highly recommended!

I love these shoes. My feet feel amazing after runs, even long ones, and my knees and joints have never been happier.

I switched to the Hoka Mach after years in Mizunos and my feet and knees have never felt better. The soles are bigger than other brands but the cushioning is fantastic and you really feel a difference. My normal street shoe size is 7 and so typically wear a 7.5 for running but bought these in a 6.5 and they’re perfect so they seem to run a bit long.

I train for and run marathons and half marathons (as well as occasional shorter races) and due to a foot issue, was looking for a shoe with more stiffness than my Saucony Kinvaras. But I also prefer lightweight shoes, and need shoes with room for my fairly wide forefoot. While I would be happy if the shoe were a little wider, the material is stretchy enough that my toes have enough room. I am very happy with this shoe.

Wow, this is the best Hoka shoe I've tried in several years!!!
Fit: the heel and mid-foot fit nicely (I've a fairly narrow foot), while the toe box has been made roomier. I no longer need to size up so much to avoid the toe blisters I've had with other Hoka models. I think the seamless upper is really forgiving (but not sloppy - my feet still feel securely held) and allows my toes to splay far more than in the Clifton, Clayton or Speedgoat.
Cushioning/performance: the Mach is firmer and more responsive than both the Clifton and the Clayton. It has a great balance of feeling fast yet protective. Although I haven't done a long run in them yet, I feel like they definitely have enough forefoot "punch" to hold up to a road marathon.
Super happy with these - thanks Hoka for listening to customer feedback and delivering a stellar shoe!

while they are comfortable shoes I was expecting from the pictures more cushion in the sole, for the price I just don't think they are worth it. I work in healthcare and am on my feet all day, so need a lot more support in the ball area of my foot and it seemed a little disappointing from the actual shoe vs the picture. For everyday walking they were comfortable but for long periods of standing not the greatest

I had gotten these and wore them out on my fast walk around the neighborhood. They are very comfy on my feet and left me with no hot spots or soreness whatsoever. My only issue is the soft soles on the Mach's. I am debating on returning them. I only walked 5 miles today and the tread on each sneaker has worn down. What will they look like in a month?

Seems wider than it should be, this is after I went down 1/2 size. There is a spot on my left toe that the shoe rubs against for some reason. I have 18 miles on it so far. Love the feel and how light it is.

The laces "slip" while trying to tie them.....might be better if they were cotton rather than a synthetic fabric.

If this shoe came in a wide, it would truly be the perfect shoe for me! I currently run in the Hoka Bondi. I love it, but sometimes I want something a little lighter feeling than the Bondi, not so tall feeling, but with comparable cushioning. The Mach was ALMOST that shoe!! Cushioning was perfect, so lightweight. Love the style. But the outer edge of my foot was hanging over the side. And even though it was “technically” supported by the upper mesh, it just rubbed weird and I knew it would probably cause blisters. I don’t know why Hoka doesn’t offer wides. If they did, the Mach would be my shoe!! Maybe one day they will. Until then I’ll stick with my Bondi and keep searching for something similar but less bulky.

This is my third pair of Hoka One One's. They are by far the most stylish. Not quite as cushy as my Arahi 2 but the styling is significantly better. Since they are still new, I am hoping that I will be as please with them. I wish they could keep the cush of the Arahi with this styling, but maybe I just want it all?

This shoe is great, but when I took out the original insert and put in another one recommended by my doctor, it squeaked so much!

Nice shoe but not supportive enough for me. Too soft upper shoe. Cute shoe, light weight and I think over priced. If you want a shoe that feels like a slipper, this one is for you.

I've been running in Clayton's and tried the Mach, first long day in them outside, inna 73 mile relay race, and I wore them for 11 of my 16 miles, finished in them, continued to wear them all night, never felt I needed to take them off...I will buy them again

I've only tried these one. It's clear they're narrow. The material is soft and giving, but the cut of the shoe isn't for those with wide feet. Very narrow toe box. Of the 3 shoes I bought, I found other Hoka's too be better for wide feet.
Yes, I would recommend to a friend, but only if they have normal or narrow feet.

My usual Hoka is the Stinson for trail running, and have also enjoyed the Speedgoat. For road running and hiking, the Clifton is my favorite. The Tor Ultra hightop has traveled with me all over Europe and South America. I tried the Cavu for the gym, and appreciated the lightweight aspect for traveling. After walking for an hour on city streets, the skin on the tops of my toes was shredded to pieces. The fabric on the inner part of the shoe is abrasive. They are fine for a gym workout, as long as I wear my thickest socks.

I found Hoka shoes just over a year ago after struggling to find a running shoe that can handle distance, primarily road or concrete running surfaces, all while having enough cushion and not too much weight for a runner with previous stress fractures in both feet. I absolutely wanted to love these shoes, but I found that there wasn't ample cushion in the forefoot and the arch support was lacking compared to what I'm used to. These shoes are very lightweight and the color is magical, but if you have previous injuries, or foot issues, personally, the cushion just isn't enough. I would up exchanging this shoe for my go-to model.

I was so excited about this shoe. Loved my first pair of running shoe decades ago and have never found another to even come close until the Mach. It is delightfully lightweight and comfortable. HOWEVER, now after approximately 150 miles in two months, it only gets three stars instead of five. The reason: the soles (especially heels) are wearing quickly. We'll see how this goes, but now it does not look good. I expect a reasonable amount of wear.
