Way too small. I typically wear a 7 1/2 or 8 and bought an 8. Without socks this shoe was at least a full size too small. Obviously can't comment on comfort but do love the style.

These are really cute and I like the washed-out red of the canvas. However, if you have a high arch as I do, these cuties probably will not fit. I had a gap between the tongue of the shoe and shoe that left too big of space when the shoes were laced. The footbed was comfortable and would be supportive. I even ordered a size larger. I am searching for comfortable, soft, and supportive casual sneakers for a European vacation that will require tons of walking around. I ordered the Taos Plim Soul in my usual size 7. Alas, they were short, and my toes all but touched the ends of the shoes. I liked the extra arch support, but the insole was not soft. I will re-order a 7.5 and hope it is big enough to add a thin foam insert for cushioning.

These shoes are supercute and the footbed is super comfortable. I was looking for lots of padding in the heel and good arch support for walking around town and taking on vacation. These delivered both. The canvas and sole are really stiff but I think they'll loosen up. One downside is I've been wearing them less than a week and the heel already is showing wear. Bought these to replace my much-loved Supergas (third pair), which have zero padding but last for years and years and years. If you want to wear thickish socks, I'd go a half size larger-- I wear super thin socks and the length on these is cutting it tight.

Taos shoes tend to have shallow toe boxes and run 1/2 smaller. Order 1/2 size larger and you'll be A-ok. Great arch support that may be uncomfortable for people with flat feet. I LOVE Taos shoes. Which they made more cute fashionable sandals that aren't so earthy or frumpy looking.

These have grown on me and I like them more now than I did when I first started wearing them. I have plantar fasciitis in one foot, so support is my #1 criteria, and these have good arch support. They were a little stiff when I first got them but have softened up with use. I would definitely try other Taos shoes after trying these.

looking for a neutral color summer shoe as an alternative to a running style. the looks of the Plim Soul are just what I was looking for. kind of a Vans sort of look. however, these weren't comfy enough out of the box for me. Where the shoe "folds" at the bend point behind my toes, it really dug in pretty hard. with wear that might soften and be more comfortable, but I'm not looking to spend the time.

I liked these shoes alot; however, my heel kept slipping in both the 8 and 1/2 and 9. Had to return both pairs. Bummed as I find the Taos sandals to be super comfortable.

I really wanted to love these. Unfortunately, they were slightly too narrow across the toes. The length was fine, but my smaller toes were running up against the edge of the shoe. I do have slightly wider toes, so I never know if a medium width will fit or not. Sadly there is no Size 10 Wide, so I don't believe I can do an exchange.

Cute sneakers! You do have to go up a 1/2 size. I’m always a size 9 but needed a 9.5 in this shoe. Good arch support. The most comfortable canvas sneaker I’ve ever tried.

Comfy ! I really like these sneakers. Fit perfectly. Good arch support. My only complaint is the shoe laces being way to short.

First of all, I love these shoes (I bought 3 pairs in different colors). However, I followed advice and ordered a half-size up ... and think that was a mistake. For one thing, the shoe/toebox is quite round and wide. I have narrow feet so the little bit of extra length plus the width makes them feel too big. I would stick with ordering your regular size. I am keeping them and putting in an insert to take up the extra space. They are heavier than most canvas shoes (which means for me means the extra looseness allows my heel to rise. Hoping with wear, they will soften up and that won't be a problem.) I got compliments the first time I wore the denim ones -- they look really cute with the contrasting white laces.

Shoe was a quality Taos shoe, but wanted a smaller (not size) shoe so am returning the shoe for moc star Taos shoe.

Does not fit as well as the other Taos I ordered. The grey wash is a great color....good with black or khaki.

Love these but I need a 10.5W and the 10.5 doesn't come in a W. I think if your foot is regular width this shoe would be great! Very cute!

These were really comfortable with a great insole/arch support. But they were a too large. I ordered my usual size 7 but my heel kept coming out of the back even when I had them laced up as tight as they would so I had to send them back.

I wear between 8.5 to 9 usually. In the size 9, my big toe was touching the front. I ended up ordering the same pair in size 9.5 elsewhere because Zappos.com was sold out. The 9.5 fit great and they are the comfiest shoe I have tried in this style of shoe.

I, also, have foot, knee and back pain. I was skeptical that Taos sneakers could actually be comfortable, as just looking at them, they appear to have no support. I have 2 pair of Star and my most recent purchase was Plum Soul. I love all 3!!!

These are super cute canvas sneakers. I was surprised at the amount of arch support, which is usually lacking in sneakers of this type. I have a narrow foot and usually wear an 8 Narrow in sneakers, but the 7 1/2 Medium worked fine, as there is lots of lace-up room. Very stylish. Will probably go for additional colors.

I absolutely love the look of these shoes and was encouraged by the reviews relating to their comfort and support. While I love the style, they are just not comfortable on my feet. They are not wide enough in the toe area and there is not enough room above my feet. I think that is because the insole is just too thick for me.

Too firm in foot bed, This had excellent arch support but were not at all soft/cushioned in the foot bed. There is a way to have arch support and still have some squish/softness under your feet. This had none. I tried three different TAOS shoes and they all were the same, I cannot wear this brand apparently.

Love this shoe, but it was not comfortable. This is the second time I have tried Taos sneakers. The arch is not for me. Thank you Zappos for making such a quick delivery and an easy return.

I compared these shoes to the Taos Star shoes and the Taos shoes won, but only by a little. The arch support is amazing, the cushion is wonderful, but it sounds very heavy as you walk in them. Otherwise, GREAT!

Cute shoe. Comfortable for all day walking. Good arch support. Light grey color goes with everything. I'll see how well it holds up to wear in time....and also if it machine washes well. But right now, I'd recommend buying these. I have a few pairs of Taos Footwear and then have never disappointed me. I don't expect this shoe to disappoint.
