This new Brooks style, GTS 18, is no where near as great as the GTS 17. The stability & support is completely cheapened.

I have used and worn Brooks running shoes for work and running for the last 10 years. Wow, has the quality gone down. I used to get 8 months out of the shoe before I had to replace it due to lack of support. Now. it has gone down to 4 months replacement and the cost has gone up for the inferior shoe it is now. I am at the point it's time to change brands after all these years. The material at the heel has changed so it deteriorates after 4 months by getting worn down with a hole in it. 2 years ago it world last the entire time I owned the shoe. I have notice the material is thinner now. The treads never came loose the entire time I owned the shoe. Now the glue lets loose of them on the bottom and sides so it starts to fold over and trip me. No longer the shoe it used to be. It is not worth the cost you pay for them with the cheapening that has occurred. Goodbye, forever, Brooks, one good shoe gone wrong. Went back to Saucony and the problems are now gone. Absolutely, love my new brand now.

Months ago I bought Adreneline GTS17 which is no longer available. The shoes fit well and still look now. With minimal wear, my left foot big toe went through the top. As a senior, I only walk with them, no running. I called Brooks and the rep said I had a moving toe or some such thing and that the shoes were made to breathe, not to last. He was not the least bit sympathetic to my problem. He was defending the indefensible. I think the top is flimsy. I notice that GTS18 has a more substantial knit top. I called Zappos, and they were so nice--offering me a replacement pair--and I hadn't asked. I will not choose Brooks again and don't recommend them.

I've worn Brooks Adrenaline for years and other than this pair they are usually very comfortable. These feel completely different and within a few days of wearing (for walking, not a long distance) felt like they were totally worn and now my feet hurt after wearing them for a half hour.

I loved the Adrenaline GTS 17. Compared to the 17, the arch of the 18 felt misplaced on my foot and the toe box felt too narrow. I wore the 18s for less than 2 hours standing and felt knee pain from an old injury the next day. I haven't felt knee pain in over a year. Disappointed in the changes made on the shoe.

I was very disappointed with these shoes. The arch support is too far back in the shoe and digs into the front of my heal. This causes my foot to push toward the outside edge of the shoe. I will be going back to Asics.

Horrendous compared to the GTS 17. A painful lack of arch support, now. Very unfortunate that I need to find a new brand now.

I had a baby 10 months ago, and my arches have collapsed a little causing severe foot pain. I also have tendinitis. My feet are pretty much a hot mess. These shoes are adorable. I love the colors. However, they had zero arch support or any support for that matter. They felt already broken in. I wanted to love them, but they aren’t going to work for my feet.

I have been an adrenaline fan for the last eight years or so. I always orders out those because they have the best selection best colors. I have my foot fit at a running store that they inevitably never have the size or color that I want. So Zappos is the place to go. I unfortunately won’t be reviewing these running shoes high at all. Whatever Brooks is done they completely redid the GTS as I started to have knee problems when I ran on these and I talk with several people at the gym and they also felt the same way. I went to the levitate... good show but I wish brooks wouldn’t tweak things and would have kept the Adrenaline GTS the same.

I'm so disappointed in the new Brooks GTS shoe. I wish they would bring back the GTS 17 style! The GTS 18 does not fit the same and doesn't provide support like previous versions. They focused to much on style and not enough on mechanics.

Like others have said, why did Brooks ruin my beloved Adrenaline with the Adrenaline 18? And more importantly how soon can they fix it? I have worn this model quite happily for so very long. Adrenaline was always the best one for my wide toe-box feet, the amount of cushion and heel positioning was just great. Until now. Sadly, the new model puts the heel in some sort of a downward position (like a true Birkenstok), and the all fabric jersey is just too soft - there is insufficient structure to support the foot in the shoe. And finally, for a double-wide, I actually found this a little snug. The Shoe Last was sufficient, but the lacing was too tight (even without a lace, the tongue even showed my sock below). This is all very un-Adrenaline. These are going back. [Note to others, I also tried the Ariel; the Ariel is a much stiffer shoe which I like, but it felt like it was trying to make me walk some weird way. The width was good, although the tongue was even narrower than the re-designed Adrenaline... so they went back too!]
I'd also recommend:
If Brooks cant fix the Adrenaline and make it wonderful again, I just don't know :(((

These shoes are terrible. Adrenalines have been my go-to for years, and these are such a poor update. No support, anywhere. The toe box is crazy wide.

As a loyal Brooks adrenaline wearer for the past 8 years or so , I am very disappointed with Brooks, they changed the profile of their GTS 18 from previous years. There appears to be less support and the heel pocket is very shallow. I am returning these and moving onto another brand. When will the sneaker companies stop changing their shoes to allow loyal wearers to remain loyal.

At first these shoes felt really great. After about a month Ii started having really bad foot pain and my right foot was rolling really bad to the right. I had to go to the podiatrist and he said it was my shoes. There wasn't enough support for my feet. They were very light and fit perfect so i was very disappointed that they just weren't right for me.

What has happened to this shoe?? I have worn for over 10 years. Up to the 14's, they were great. But since then they have become too slim in the toe box, & also toe box is much less in depth. Thus your toes hit the top of the shoe--OUCH . A hole waiting to happen and a bruise under toenails. The new mesh has no support & your foot feel "sloppy". As for the arch support--minimal at best. Anyone with a higher arch will find themselves having to buy a separate insole, like Superfeet, or Powersteps. Again more money for a brand new shoe--ah NO way. The toe box in the 18's did become a bit wider so that was good. But it is still to shallow in depth. There just is not the comfort ,support or stability that this shoe was intended for or like past versions. Also there sizing for the same model from 1 year to the next is off. That's because the shoe shape changes & not for the better. Someone new to this shoe may think it's great, but they have no idea how great it REALLY was back when the first came out. I have also worn the Ghost & Glycerin( a Neutral shoe) , and the Transcend 4. But the current models of those have also been on the decline as to comfort, support, & cheaper looking thinner materials used. The only "stability" in this shoe has been the same price. That remains "stable" . Sorry Brooks, but your last 4 models of this shoe has led me to look for another brand. But New Balance, Asics, & Saucony are dong the same thing. The phrase " They dont make them like they used to " comes to mind, and it certainly applies here.

So sad! I have been a devoted GTS Adrenaline person for the last 3 years but the GTS 18 are completely different fit. The arch support is non existent and the feel of the shoe is awful. Now I have to find a different shoe. :(

I owned two pairs of these shoes in 3 months. I walk a decent amount in them, but they started falling apart after a few weeks. The shoe developed numerous holes around the ankle and looked unsightly so I had to return them. I owned Adrenaline's previously and did not have this problem, so I'm not sure what Brooks has done differently.

I have only worn Brooks running shoes for the past 10 years and these have fallen short of any expectation of the brand. After every run I had such horrible pain in my arches I even wasted another $16 on Dr. Scholl's inserts.
