I'm so disappointed that Brooks felt the need to update the fabulous GTS 17 model and replace it with this one! The look of the 18 is nice - more streamlined and modern and they do accommodate my wide front foot nicely but I'd really rather have sneakers that function well than trendy ones! Brooks changed the entire feel of the footbed - it is now very cushioned under the heel with almost no cushioning at the toe and very little arch support compared to the GTS 17. The beauty of the GTS was always that it gave great support for an overpronator without being too rigid and that characteristic is gone. I'm returning these and stocking up on 17's in the hopes that the 19 will be better... if not I'll need to find another shoe which would be traumatic since I've worn the GTS for almost 10 years....

Great new Adrenaline from Brooks, my go-to sneaker brand for running and walking. This is much more cushioned and feels lighter than the Adrenaline 17 which has a more rigid base. I prefer the 18 over 17. It is very similar to the Ghost 10 by Brooks, although that is billed as a neutral shoe rather than stability. I've had several pairs of these as I have flat feet and they don't disappoint. I usually replace the insole with an over-the-counter insole with more arch support and it fits well. I'm always 1/2 size bigger in sneakers than in other shoes, Brooks is no exception. The Adrenaline style really does feel different year to year so you may still want to comparison shop even if you've had previous models.

Brooks is finally back in my good graces with this shoe! I was a loyal Adrenaline fan for versions 11-14 (the 14s being my all-time favorite running shoe, and I died a little inside when I wore down my last pair). I don't know what Brooks was doing with the design, but since the 14s I have not been able to wear the Adrenalines at all, and for the last couple of years I've been on a frantic search for my new favorite running shoe without much success. For me, it appears the 18s will be a return to happy, comfortable running! I've only done two short runs in them since they arrived, and I think there will be a brief break-in period which is normal for me these days, but overall the shoes feel good. The redesigned no-fuss upper is soft and streamlined. The toe box is vastly improved from the 17s - length is true to size and there's a bit more wiggle room. Insole is firm and supportive but also springy and provides great energy return that keeps my legs feeling fresh. This shoe gives me the pronation control I need, but it still allows my feet to roll naturally through each foot fall, so my steps are light and quiet on the pavement. In previous models the stiff clomping of my own feet drove me crazy! The midfoot wrap definitely feels snug, as advertised, which is not unpleasant but it's different from the shoes I've been wearing and may take a little getting used to. I purchased the silver and pink color, and I like the neutral look with a little splash of brightness. I'll be beginning training for my third marathon soon, and I'm beyond relieved to know that I'll have a reliable pair of shoes to get me through the miles.

As a long time Brooks wearer, I have to say I am not super excited about the GTS18. Compared to my GTS17 they are a little lacking. The cloth upper on this is just too soft and doesn't feel like it holds my foot in place on the sole like the GTS 17. The sole is also not as cushy. They are ok, and I am going to keep them since I wore them outside, but just not as good as the 17.

My first pair of Brooks. Size 11W. Very comfortable and great fit. I have bunions and plantar fasciitis so finding the right shoe is imperative for me. The toe box area is flexible with a nice knit fabric that allows for movement and doesn't press or rub on my bunions. I also wear toe separator socks and there's plenty of room for toes but not sloppy. The heel box is supportive and fits nicely. Not loose like some wide shoes can be. Oh... very nice bonus - they make my large feet look smaller. I like that!

I have what can be affectionately called Fred Flintstone feet and the 8.5W is perfect. These feel really supportive and lightweight. I love the grey and pink, too. Even better, no more heel pain! I previously had the Asics gel cumulus 17 and the tendon in the back of my heel was killing me. So far so good with the Adrenaline GTS 18.

Problems with sizing again with this company. I have a pair of Ghost 9's by Brooks which are like walking on a cloud and gives amazing support as I have a job where I'm on my feet all day. I know this company has a problem with inconsistent sizing - as my mom who has the ghost 9 but a pair of ghost 10's and they fit very differently - she had to order 3 different sizes to get the right fit. I ordered a size 8 (which usually runs a hair big for me), and I couldn't even get my foot in these 8, I had to send them right back.

Finally! I was an avid Adrenaline wearer up through the 15s. In fact I think I had at least 6 pairs of them. The 16s and 17s were just too big and not comfortable. The 18s are a dream - fit perfectly out of the box and oh so comfortable. I don't even need to wear my orthotic with these. Thanks you Brooks!!!

These shoes are great if you have bunions. The toe box is nice and roomy too. The GTS 17 didn't fit me well and I'm so glad Brooks made the changes. My only complaint is that I wish the double wide came in more colors.

This and all the other 2018 Adrenalines have some attractiveness; BUT, my praise stops there. I did just buy a black pair out of desperation for black, but I will buy a new black pair as soon as you fix the problems. If Brooks went right back to the 2017 design, it would be the perfect fix. I would have to say the mesh definitely has to go. It does not help with support and I know it will not wear well! It’s what they’re selling in the stores right now, but that doesn’t mean much to people who want a quality pair of supportive, durable shoes. The inside feel of the shoe is wrong and I can’t quite say why. I know I feel a kind of comfort in the heel, but not really support, and support with flexibility is the whole reason I started buying Brooks Adrenaline several years ago. But again, 2017 is great. Have two pair. Now, I wish I had more. Another disappointing change—the tread on the 2018 shoe is thinner and the heel base is not as wide. And that wider heel base on the 2017 and other years; too, is what gave me that ability to last all day long with them. Like a magic platform that held me up all day! Teaching, walking, shopping—whatever I did. And their flexibilty was great, too. I’d just have to say that this years Adrenalines are not working for me.

I have been buying these shoes for a few years. the fit and quality has just changed for the worse. the toe box is narrow and small, the quality seems different. When I emailed the company I asked them to put last years and this years model together and look at them. they keep saying nothing changed but you can put the shoes side by side and see that they are not the same. too bad.

I have been wearing the Adrenaline for almost 3 months now. I love this shoe. I must note that I really can't fairly comment on the arch support or insole because I use a custom orthotic insole in them. (The insole that comes with them is removable.). These shoes are comfortable for me in a way that no others are. I have arthritis in the joint behind the big toe to the point where I have been told by one doctor I require surgery. I am, however, doing fine with my custom insole a different doctor gave me to prevent the joint from moving. (So, also can't comment on any flexibility of the shoe as far as the outer sole bending since my insole is supposed to prevent that...) However, I love, love, love the construction of the shoe so that it is only flexible fabric across the ball of the foot. There is not pressure there as there is in most running shoes from the usual plastic pieces. It is only fabric and the area with the shoe laces start lacing towards the front of the foot is also more flexible than most. I feel like the outer sole is cushioned well as far as impact on concrete, etc. I can lace the shoe to make it tighter in my heel than the ball of the foot which I need. The only problem I have is that after wearing the shoes all day when I have my feet up in a recliner I have intense pressure across the top to the foot where the laces are. This is new. I haven't had it before and don't have it now when I wear different shoes so it does seem to be something about these shoes. I am willing to put up with that for the comfort the rest of the day though. It also may be connected to my need for the heel to be tighter than the ball of the foot so others may not feel that. These are great shoes. I have the grey and black with the silver accents. I like the somewhat neutral aspect that goes with most casual outfits but they do have some interest to them with the heathery look of the grey and the contrast with small stripes with the silver. They aren't the old person dull black orthotic looking running shoe at all. I tried the teal as well and it is really cute--just not as versatile for my needs since I wear these whenever I can get away with a running shoe. I do wish they had a navy or blue version other than the red, white, and blue one with stars on it! It's cute but I think for certain special events rather than an every day shoe.

I am NOT a runner but I walk on hard surfaces for my job and have heel spurs and everything that goes along with them. I always put orthotics in my shoes and brooks shoes allow for those. I have a wide toe box and brooks is one in a few that give my toes room without a super wide heel. For me this shoe is working and my feet are not hurting. They had a good amount of cushioning but i need more arch support that the shoes comes with. I love the soft upper material which is not causing a sweating issue for me. I find the sizing accurate. I only wish Brooks offered more colors in wide widths. I can only say that i try a LOT of shoes because of PF and these never disappoint(and i mean even special orthotic footwear). They just have to replaced more often according to my podiatrist(every 6 months). Good luck with your shoe journey!

Inconsistent sizing by Brooks again. I'm not sure why Brooks has so many issues with inconsistent sizing. It seems that every time they have a new shoe out, the fit / sizing can vary widely. I have the Ghost 9 and a size 8 fit me perfectly, however in this shoe, I could not even get half of my foot in the 8. My mother also had the same issue, what fit her in the Ghost 9, the same size ran way too tight when she bought the Glycerin 15. I have read about the inconsistent sizing from other reviewers, I'm hoping the company can keep consistent fit/ sizing as the shoes are excellent once you get a pair that fit.

Finally! I have been a die-hard Adrenaline fan for years. Things were great until the 16s/17s. I think I bought every pair of 15s out online because the 16s and 17s were so awful -- heavy, big and uncomfortable. The 18s are perfect! Great fit right out of the box and so comfortable that I've even ditched my orthotics. I just hope they don't change them again. I'm a personal trainer and wear these for several hours every day.

I am very happy with these shoes. Taken them on a few dirt hikes/walk and no issues. They have a midline cushioning inside that feels excellent. Second pair of Adrenalines.

I love these shoes! I have flat feet that overpronate, and I have had problems with posterior tibial tendon dysfunction in one foot--a fancy name for a fallen arch. This is my second pair of Brooks Adrenalines, and they're perfect for me. They're lightweight, and they have excellent support for overpronation; an ample toe box (but not too clunky); and a flexible, breathable knit fabric. I use them with custom orthotics. For my narrow heels, I do a special lacing technique (search online for an example). The gray with rose gold color is very nice. Size note: In most dress shoes, I wear 8 1/2. My last pair of New Balance shoes was size 9. In this shoe I wear 9 1/2!

I am a diehard Saucony customer and I’ve noticed style-wise & cut that some Brooks shoes are really similar, so I thought I’d give these a try. Purchase these in the gray w/the lavender shade sole. I love a color sole rather than the traditional boring white. Nice looking. I have a big foot, 11.5-12 in Saucony. Ordered 12 in these but they are a short 12 - so do not order down! They are comfortable tho, & will accommodate orthotic inserts. I have noticed they are much warmer than the Saucony, will be a good winter time shoe. I do like them & will keep, but still prefer Saucony.

One shoe had a defect in the toe. The seam on the inside of the right shoe was not constructed properly, and a flap of material has come loose. It scrapes my big toe when I walk. The left shoe is perfect. I have had my shoes for less than 2 months and the seam came loose in a matter of weeks. Since I wore them, I cannot return. I love Brooks shoes and have owned many pairs, but this last pair was a huge disappointment.

I have developed a problem with my large toe joint and have an insert I have to use in all my shoes. I bought these shoes and walked 6 miles this past Saturday with absolutely no pain. Everything I have read about Brooks are so positive. I am very impressed and am pretty sure I can plan on attending a 5K in December due to finding these shoes!

I love these shoes because they are light weight and the look of them. I have to buy an insert with better arch support and when I do that they are perfect. I usually wear Vionic walking shoes that already have the best arch support in the sneaker world but they are bulkier than these.

Brooks adrenaline gts has been my go to shoe for running. The 18 model did not disappoint! I have plantar fascitis and these really help keep me going. They have a more narrow heel cup (back of shoe around ankle) so i dont feel that they are ever sliding off my foot/heel. I will be ordering another pair for backup just in case the 19s changes arent good for my feet ??
