I bought them for my husband but had to return. They are great shorts with stylish look for slim people not for tall and heavy size. If fit is designed for mid rise just under waist for big size, that would fit well for my husband. While inseam is 10 or 12" selection, I would hope the design could've been considered for those tall and big hip. After all, the waist fits fine but rise is regular and not so much relaxed set so lower belly gets so tight then front two pockets are not easy to be reachable because the entry is so up high flat rather than diagonal cut. This is our first purchase from North Face and we will keep coming to check on for big size. The free returning service was great and sale credit back into account was excellent though. Thank you.

Your sizing chart is wrong. I'm 5-10, 155 and 63 years old. Chart says medium. Old shorts Are smalls. I ordered med like chart recommends. They are what big, the chart should say small. Good news, I can put on ten pounds and they will still fit.

North Face, the new pocket design is a dog. I loved the old Paramount Cargo shorts, had 2 pairs and was looking to buy a third for this summer. Then you came up with this awful new design. I ended up finding last year's Paramount II model with the cargo pockets at Bass Pro Shops and bought a pair. You guys broke my heart! ;-<

I wish that I had stocked up on the previous version. They are the best shorts that I've ever owned. I guess that the zippered pockets on the current version keep stuff rom falling out but they are so tiny that not much can be carried in them. Last but not least, the left rear pocket has disappeared.
