Light weight and comfortable

These shorts fit well and have plently of room for just about any activity. They dri quickly and are not overly warm to wear while active on a hot day. I would highly recommend these to wear for biking, hiking, and fro lounging.

I love these shorts for several reasons. First, the leg pockets are well designed. Unlike the leg pockets of most cargo shorts that aren't very deep and sag, these are just the opposite. There is no sagging of material so they remain close to the leg. No need to worry about the material catching onto a drawer knob when walking close to a dresser (I've had the stitching pulled loose with other cargo shorts when I walked past the clothes dresser and didn't see the drawer knob!). The leg pockets are deep. There's plenty of room to store a cell phone and snacks in the same pocket. Second, the elastic waste band secures a cell phone case with a clip very well. I've had my cell phone case with the phone inside slide off the waste with other shorts that came with a belt. I'm sure this wasn't The North Face's intent when they designed these shorts, but it's a very nice benefit. Third, the shorts are very comfortable. The elastic waste band combined with the accompanying belt make for a nice relaxed fit. There is also plenty of leg room. I haven't used them for hiking in the hills or mountains. But they performed well when I've been out of the house all day on short trips. I've carried several snacks for myself and others, small bottles of hand sanitizer, wipes, Blistex and other items. Overall, a very well made pair of shorts that I highly recommend.

Awesome gear! Very light and soft.

I purchased the short hiking pants and the long/convertible hiking pants from NorthFace. They both fit perfectly - just following the instructions for their Small, Medium, Large scale. I wore the convertible pants on a trough 9 mile hike on Sunday and they were very comfortable. Pockets were easy access without getting in the way, the fabric was comfortable without sounding like plastic bags rubbing together when I walked - a softer fabric. I even loved how the pants can velcro at the cuff for a more buttoned up feeling. Love it. Recommend them.

This is one of the Best Short I ever own and bought a second a pair as soon as I wear one . Really recommend to anyone . I promise you would not regret

There are great shorts. I ordered the Long version in Asphalt. I'm 6'1" and the shorts are longer than expected. Still great shorts but longer than expected/needed. I liked the shorts so much that I ordered a second pair in Weimaraner but in regular length. Love them too. Will probably get another color also regular length.

These shorts are very comfortable and the pockets provide easy access for keys, cell phone or wallet. I wish they had the grey in stock, but that will another purchase. The built in belt is easy to fasten, loosen and unbuckle. The extra belt loops are also handy if you need to use your own belt. The fit is true to size. They dry quickly after a wash. I highly recommend these shorts if you like cargo shorts.

Great for casual wear and hiking

Bought the shorts for my husband. He said they're his new favorite go-to short so I ordered him another. Unfortunately the Asphalt Gray wasn't available but love the color selection in both Tan and Brown

I wear these as an everyday part of my outfit. They are comfortable to wear around the house and perfect for any outdoor activity. I'm a big fan of these and plan on purchasing the other color options available.
