The style is nice. The longer strap is on the thin side IMO but it's Ok. I guess. Zipper works nicely. Holds quite a bit. The hole for the charger cord needs to be bigger. I had to go buy a special cord that would fit thru the hole. Material is much thinner than the cotton used to be. Now my big complaint. I hate that snap closure on the front. The magnet is soooo strong it has already pulled up a corner of the leather peice that is sewn to the material. I have already had to reinforce it myself after only 2 days of use. This type of snap will destroy the bag. You need to go back to the hidden magnets . They worked great . These new snap closures will destroy many a bag in no time. Why in the world would you change to these snaps?

Don't like the style/design of the Carson Shoulder Bag. Don't like the pattern (plaid) either. In fact, am generally dissatisfied with the patterns for the past 2-3 years. Much prefer designs Vera Bradley has discontinued, especially the geometric patterns and the really brightly colored floral ones. The colors you use now are more muted and dull. Especially during this year (2020), we could use bright colors and cheerful designs.

I'm a long time customer but I think this is going to be the end of me buying Vera Bags. The quality of the bags have went down hill over the years. The quality of the bag isn't worth the price. The inside that use to be a little bit heavier & quilted is now just a thin lining in the bag. The interior pockets use to be plenty, now you are lucky to get two of the pockets. The pockets are now just a lining sewed to make a pocket and flimsy. The pockets were the biggest draw for me, now they seem very lack luster. To me, they have over priced, cheaply made products and I think this is the last.

Hate the metal zipper. It doesn't close with one hand. I don't need more work. Love the style.

Purse was to small and phone did not fit in pocket. Very disappointed. I have another purse made the same way exactly the same purse by Vera Bradley but it is larger. You don't carry it.

I already answered one review, but if you want another, here it is.....the bag is not what I thought it was....I thought the flap on the outside had a pocket while the flap was down, as it turns out you have to lift it up to see two small pockets under the flap.....no if I can't go to a store & see one I will not buy another one & I have an issue with another bag I bought at a store in Chandler mall ( which you have now closed).....

I have been buying the Carson for a while now. There have been changes to it just like every other bag. The newest change is a change in the smell of the fabric. For at least the last year all of the bags I have purchased had a strong perfume/chemical smell on them that wore off after one or two uses. The last bags I ordered, one in on the go in garden grove, and one Carson in floating garden, had an eye burning cleaner smell. My daughter said the bag smelled like mop water. I know VB is taking precautions with the virus going around, but I won't be able to carry anymore VB bags if the fabric smells. I know I can wash the bags, but I would rather stop buying them then wash them. Just thought I would let others know if they are sensitive to smells like me since the bags are pricey and not easily returnable right now.

I'm pretty sure I received a used bag. The tag has been removed, and the straps were detached, and they are supposed to come attached to the bag. I don't like the metal zipper. It does not close well, and is sharp against the skin and will certainly catch on scarves etc. Also don't like the front flap. It sits at a weird angle and pulls on the pleather material holding the magnet. I think that may come unsewn over time from use. This bag is too expensive for its cheap and poor quality assembly and materials. Think I will sent it back.

The product color was rather blah. I am referencing the Carson I have in Indiglo. Darker than in the pictures.

Poor quality fabric with dull colors. Zipper snaps and removable strap very cheap.
