My wife loves this purse, it's her 2nd Vera Bradley purse. Downside was finding it for $25 LESS in a store that we wandered into after purchasing it online from the Vera Bradley website. Serious bummer. I recommend this purse/backpack, but also recommend you shop around! The Vera Bradley website is NOT the cheapest place to purchase this products.

Love the color and all the little organizational pocketswhat I don't love it the weight. I planned to have this be my personal carry on when I fly, but I'm not sure because it is heavy even when it is empty. I found weight to be an issue with the weekender bag as well.

Love this backpack, there are so many pockets and the material is so cute. My biggest complaint is that the straps do not hold up well. I spent a lot of money on this bag, yet this backpack has fallen apart faster than any other backpack I've had. So sad but it looks like I won't get much more out of this bag with how the strap is holding up. Have had for 1.5 years

I don't feel the quality is the same as the traditional Vera Bradley backpack. The material is very thin and it gets dirty quickly. Honestly I would have returned it but I got it monogrammed. The monogram is gorgeous and the various pockets are great for functionality. I hope it holds up.

A major concern about the backpack is the zipper fabric keeps fraying and sometimes falling off. I like the pattern in the backpack but just a little upset about the fraying it shouldn't be happening on a backpack that is this expensive

I like this bag a lot. I bought it specifically for my computer to travel with and it matches my duffle bag. However the 15 inch lap top is a very tight fit. Closing the zipper is very tight at the top of the backpack.
One more inch and I would say it fits a 15 inch laptop.

The size of this backpack and all of the compartments are great! Unfortunately, the fabric choice is poor. I bought the black color and it attracts lint very badly. I own the small quilted backpack from Vera and this does not happen. I wish I had spent more and gotten the large quilted backpack instead.

I wish it felt like it was made of quality material like other Vera Bradley products.

I love the fabric and all of the pockets. But, it is too big. When loaded it is very heavy and difficult to carry, even on your back. I will be replacing it with a smaller style.

As a college student, you sometimes get caught in the rain while walking. When I got caught in the rain while using an umbrella, my backpack got slightly wet and the ink bled onto my laptop and notes. My $1,000 laptop has red stains on it that will not come off. As many people may say, this is common. I have purchased several backpacks from Vera Bradley and I have never had this issue. Great backpack but now my stuff has red dye all over it.

I have purchased VB products in the past and they have stood the test of the time, so when I was in the market for a new backpack I knew where to look. The backpack itself is great. Its got a lot of room, smart pockets, and is comfortable so I decided to keep it. However, right after I took the tags off I realized that every little thing showed on the black recycled cotton fabric. Every little spec of dust or lint, and even some marks I have no idea how they got there. I have been very careful with this backpack and yet it looks like this after just carrying twice. I suspect it's the nature of this fabric, but I'm definitely disappointed since it looks messy and unprofessional for work.

I absolutely love this bag function wise, it's perfect. But the fabric (I got black) looks awful because it attracts every single speck of fuzz and dust which obviously I couldn't have known until after I took the tags off and used in the first time. I wish I could have returned it for a different color.

I purchase this bag and the matching make-up bag. The material is very durable. Maybe it's luck of the draw, my bag has 1/2 butterflies at every seam. Would have been 5 stars if attention was paid to detail on this bag.

I've gotten multiple campus backpacks. One thing I find is that with the signature cotton they alway wear out where it rubs against my clothes. If the bottom could be reinforced some how, it would be amazing. Otherwise the backpack is great. Super roomy and comfortable to wear.

I love bags and purses, but I was diagnosed with severe rheumatoid arthritis and fibromyalgia (along with other autoimmune diseases) almost 15 years ago. As the diseases worsened I started carrying backpacks for personal and professional reasons because it distributes the weight more evenly on your body (very helpful for anyone really.) I look much younger than I am and I noticed people were talking to me like a kid whenever I wore a backpack so I decided to try something more 'adult' looking. I was already a long-standing Vera Bradley customer so I tried my first campus backpack and was hooked! . . I started buying them in different fabrics and prints to go with my various outfits (from casual to business) and it was great for awhile as I could easily switch from one bag to another and I knew where everything went without thinking. HUGE time-saver! I LOVED my system and my growing Campus Backpack collection (10+)....UNTIL things became frustrating and disappointing repeatedly!. . Things started going downhill a year or two ago with not only the backpacks, but the customer service and website upkeep as well. I'll start with the backpacks.. . As I said, I have all the various fabrics this backpack comes in, including the recycled cotton/cotton blend this review is under. I expected the same quality as the cotton backpacks of the past, but unfortunately that's not the case. The straps have little to no padding and I get bruises from the straps when I carry my brand new bags and I don't bruise easily (one of my newest is the Snoopy Campus Backpack from the Winter Collection.) I carry the EXACT same belongings in my other Vera Bradley cotton bags from various seasons past, but I don't get the sore spots and bruising from those. I noticed the straps were different in some of my newer bags, but I pulled out and side by side compared my older cotton backpacks with my new ones as my old ones NEVER do this and the straps are VERY different! The older bags have more padding and are WAY MORE comfortable! Honestly, I don't really feel ANY padding in the new ones. My family sews and have been in high end fashion for several generations and it's obvious they aren't padding the straps anymore. It's just the fabric sewn together. It's really disappointing as it doesn't make sense to buy more with this downgrade.. . They also aren't the same quality they used to be. I've heard others complain about it as well and, unfortunately, I have to agree. They're just not the same fabric quality (I've spent my whole life comparing and picking fabrics), yet they're charging the same. The ribbons and other zipper pulls aren't secured properly and I have had to fix several already on newer bags. I had to fix FOUR alone on the new Snoopy bag within the first two uses (which was more expensive than the other cotton prints.) That's absolutely unacceptable! I'm VERY gentle on my belongings as I like to keep my things nice. I'm lucky I have found each one (this also has happened on other fabric versions that the zip pulls are sewn on...it's actually more like a single thread tac, than a lasting sewn on sturdy version...obviously it saves time an energy to just tac it with thread than properly sew it.). . The quality of the bag has not only downgraded, but the quality control as well. I had a bag that I bought earlier in the year so I wouldn't miss it and by the time I needed it I put my belongings in, cut the tags and went out the door. I was out in public and went to put both straps on and one straps kept loosening and wouldn't hold. I took it off and looked and no wonder! They had sewed the plastic strap hold on completely BACKWARDS! The teeth that held the strap in place was the wrong direction and the only way to fix it would be to deconstruct the bad. I was stuck with nothing else to do far from home so the only thing I could do was tie it in a knot to make do for the day! It was a BRAND NEW BAG and I was out because I didn't check to see that the sewed the strap adjuster the correct direction. Who checks that? I had checked all the zippers ect, but because I hadn't checked that I had a faulty, brand new bag I couldn't easily adjust and was stuck with it! As a disabled individual it's really important to be able to easily adjust my straps, but customer service didn't really seem to care.. . Which is another issue. Vera Bradley used to have WONDERFUL customer service. That's a thing of the past! I have been extremely disappointed lately. It's become common to order items and have them canceled later. I have spent my time picking out coordinating items and bags and then I'm either missing items from my order or after all that time and energy I receive an email that one or more of my items are canceled from my order when they're STILL showing available on the website (this happened many times the last few years especially when picking out multiple items to all go together as gifts.) . . Customer service doesn't really care. After being a loyal customer for 25+ years I was told, Oh well, you know that happens. Nothing we can do. It just happens sometimes. So I should just EXPECT that my time and energy aren't respected and should expect that I very well might not receive what I ordered. They don't offer anything to make up for their mistakes anymore like they used to in the past if the made an error. Now it just 'TOO BAD'. . I really wanted to order several Campus Backpacks in XL, but with the customer service and reduction in quality I'm not going to now. I own a LARGE collection of Vera Bradley products other than my backpack collection because they used to be fun bags, luggage and accessories, but their attitude and quality has decreased and continues to decrease no matter how much you report it. There's more that's disappointing, but I think I've included more than enough. It's too bad. All my reviews used to be 5 star!

Perfect size for my middle school daughter. Very cute and love the material. Only problem was I paid extra to have backpack monogrammed and they messed it up not sure how but they did.

I've had my Vera Bradley back pack for years. It was perfect. The mew one is way too bog and don't like the new design on the side pockets. Love it if you bring back the old design

Smaller than it looks and when it arrived the threads in the quilt pattern were unraveling all over but it was too late to return and replace because school was starting and my child had to have a backpack so we kept. Will definitely need to buy a new one though.

One of the pattern seems was gone before we made it to school. The contrsuction of the bag seems solid but the pattern in important too. It shouldn't have a seam come loose before it is even used.
