I ordered extra wide in these because I have wide feet. I was just so excited to be able to get a wide width, I went overboard!
They are very nice, timeless shoes . I ended up getting a Mary Jane style by this same brand instead, but I may also get these in the future.

I ordered 8 extra wide after reading reviews because with a wide foot I always need space through the toes. These fit well and are very comfortable. I may put fillers in the heel area but have already worn them and the slippage was only moderate. I have never purchased SAS before but am very pleased with the quality and fit.
I'd also recommend:
I love Finn Comfort but they are pretty bulky for dress.

Nice classic shoe. Now that I am late sixties I appreciate the stability of these shoes. And they are made in the USA a big factor for me.

(I'm providing here a similar review to the one I gave this shoe on Zappo's.) I ordered my usual size, 8M, and the shoe was too tight, but when I ordered the 8.5M, it was a dream! I can't remember the last time I could wear a pair of shoes any higher than a flat in complete comfort right out of the box. This is saying a lot because I have a wide forefoot and a narrow feel. In addition, I've had bunion surgery on my right big and little toes, fusion of my right big toe, and, more recently, fusion of my right second and third toes. Normally, I have to stretch and doctor my shoes with heel pads, tongue pads, sole pads, etc., but this shoe, right out of the box, feels like it was designed for me -- so comfortable, and the heel is pretty. Thank you SAS! I'd love this shoe in nude with a matching heel.

I am thankful that there are companies like SAS and others that make heels in W & WW sizes. These heels are a classic style that are well made with minimal heel slip. Unfortunately, my poor arthritic feet can no longer tolerate heels. I ended up purchasing another SAS shoe.

These shoes are the best! I wear an 11.5 women's and have had plantar fascists in both feet. I'm also currently healing from tibial tendinitis. Finding a comfortable dressy shoe was of utmost importance to me. I wore these shoes for nearly 12 hours at a wedding and had no pain!

This shoe is pure heaven! I wish I had received them in time for my trip. I have a tricky heel that makes shoe shopping challenging. Because I have such a narrow heel, I do better wi a strap in the back. I’m sending this back, but after seeing how well made and comfortable this is, I have now put several more pairs of SAS shoes in my cart to buy. Thank you for making a comfortable, quality shoe. What a relief!

Although I haven't worn them yet, I am SO EXCITED for these shoes. It's hard to find my size, 91/2 ww. It fits my right foot perfectly, but my left foot is larger than the right. I'll adjust by removing the insole. They are soft and seem well made.
