I LOVE these shoes! They fit my size 13 feet perfectly! The neutral sole is good for me. The laces are nice, no double tying necessary. I do wish that New Balance would make these in black. They are worth every penny!

This is a SUPER shoe! I have lots of problems with my feet, back and legs, yet I was able to walk, hike and climb steep, narrow, winding staircases throughout Europe for 7 to 8 miles a day for 13 days! That was quite a feat for me! I will continue to purchase this shoe and replace the brand that I always used to wear. The whole reason I bought this shoe was because I couldn't get my tried and true old brand due to production problems. I'm sure glad that I purchased this New Balance 840!

Really wanted to love this shoe, since due to foot issues I wear NB athletic shoes for as many occasions as I can possibly get away with & was hoping to put a little variety into my NB footwear wardrobe. Loved the top fabric of the dark navy-ish shoe but didn't like the bright white sole that encircles the outside of the toe box rather than sitting under it, and makes the foot look a little clunkier. If that's not an issue for you, you might love it.

Had V3 and V4 continues to feel just as good

I have had many pairs of New Balance shoes and have always been very happy with them. My new shoes (10 1/2 M) seemed a bit long so I ordered a half size smaller to compare. Smaller size was definitely too short so sent them back and kept the larger size, which is working well. Plenty of room for my custom orthotics. The shoes are very comfortable. I can wear them all day.

Have some foot issues (neuromas, plantar fasciitis and poor circulation) and have to insert orthotics into my shoes. These shoes felt fabulous and I could wear them all day! Will purchase again!

The only reason I returned these is I needed something waterproof. Very comfortable and looked great.

I really like them and they are perfect for summer. when i ordered i ordered these 840v4 and the white all leather ones 840 I was only going to keep 1 pr but will probably keep the white ones also for winter. the white ones are slightly more roomy both in the toe box and in the heel great for heavier socks but for summer i like the 840v4 cause they are a little snugger..

Great fitting shoe. I previously had a pair of 840v3's and loved them so I purchased v4 hoping they would be as good and they did not disappoint. Very roomy toe box and comfortable right out of the box. I also like this model because I can remove the insert and insert my own orthotic. I wish they had used a bit more color in the styling of the shoe but I'll take comfort over style any day!

Nice shoe

Super comfy. I've been looking forever, needing shoes with wide, forgiving toe box to accommodate bunion on one foot and also with good cushioning for neuroma on other foot. I wear size 10 Medium width and the sizing in these shoes is perfect. Toe box is generous without looking "clown-like". I am a former runner (with old knees now), so I'm a convert to walking, usually 4-7 miles a day. I've had LOTS of running shoes over the years. These felt incredibly comfortable right out of the box, very little break-in required. Style is conservative but still modern, sporty and good looking with well-proportioned lines. Love these shoes!!

I am 71 yrs old and wear orthotics. I have tried many pairs of shoes and now have both colors in this shoe because of the fit and stability. Wish I could find a dress shoe that made me feel secure like these do.

i bought a second pair, the first were so comfortable. I'm dealing with some foot issues, and these shoes don't aggravate them.

Very comfortable.

I have narrow feet and it is getting harder and harder to find quality narrow shoes. It is also hard to find narrow shoes that are attractive. Thank you New Balance for still making a narrow running shoe! I previously bought the New Balance 1080 running shoe but doubt the toe box was still a little wide. This shoe fits my long narrow feet perfectly. I use them for running and cross training. I would recommend and I will buy them again.

These shoes were for my wife. She is extremely happy with them. They fit perfectly and even after wearing them all day, she still loves them.

They are not the cutest or stylish athletic shoe, but they are extremely comfortable and wide enough in the toe area.

I wear 8.5 narrow shoes. This athletic shoe is a perfect fit for me. I especially like the roomy toe box which doesn't crowd my toes. (This can be a painful issue with my ingrown toenails.) Sure- the shoe doesn't have the sleek appearance of some others, but comfort when exercising is more important. I just placed an order for a second pair!
