While I can not yet speak to the durability of this shoe, out of the box, it is the best pair of walking shoes I have ever owned. I am retired, typically walking 5 or 6 miles a day, 4 to 5 times a week at a relatively slow pace, about 2.25 mph. My limiting factor is an old injury to my lower back, which can cause me pain in the right hand side of my lower back, right hamstring, and right knee. The thick padding in these shoes seems to protect my lower back. I know from experience that 10.5 EEEE New Balance shoes happen to provide me with a class A fit, so true to size and width are never a problem for me with New Balance products.

I haven’t gone running in these yet, but so far they feel great. There’s plenty of room in the toe box for my wide feet. Arch support isn’t enough for my high arches, but with my orthotics in they feel perfect. I’m exchanging the white ones for black — at 11W, they just looked a little huge to me. But it’s nice to have a choice of colors in wide! And customer service at Zappos is wonderful as always. Thanks!

I really struggle to find sneakers that fit my feet, and that do not cause my toes to fall asleep. My feet are too wide for regular shoes but not wide enough for many wide shoes. I ordered this shoe in Medium width and Wide width. I typically wear a size 9. I ended up keeping the 8.5 Wide. This shoe was comfortable from the moment I put it on. Super supportive for my high intensity workouts. I ordered another New Balance, that was 1/3 the price of this shoe, but it was not nearly as comfortable or flexible as this shoe. I guess with New Balance you get what you pay for!

Yay! I have happy toes! These are the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn - I wear them all day, every day, even when lounging around the house. I had previously been wearing Asics Kayano for the last several years (incidentally, they had great cushion and amazing durability), but noticed that my toes had been pinched together sufficiently to cause linear callouses on my fourth and little toe pads. Now a few months after succumbing to purchasing a wide width shoe, my callouses are disappearing, my toes are delighted, and my shin splints have stayed away! In all honesty, comparing the New Balance wide width to an Asics regular width - the New Balance look huge and clunky. So if you are concerned about your feet looking big/wide, you may be disappointed. But, if you have a wide feet, bunions, fat feet, or generally just want comfort above all else, this may be your shoe!

I am so pleased with my New Balance shoes. I wear 8 1/2 N and these were comfortable the first time I put them on. At 84 years old, it is hard to find comfortable shoes. Zappos always finds the right ones for me.

Love these sneakers!!! They feel great and the colors are nice and vibrant (I bought the blue and orange ones). I have encountered a few issues - the top of the back of the shoes (sort of behind my achilles) has worn down and has some holes in it. I wear my sneakers a lot so some wear and tear is of course expected but this seems more than usual, especially for such a hefty price tag. Also, I wish the laces extended a little closer toward the toe box because it does feel a little lose (I have short, small toes) so if your feet are narrow toward your toes, I would choose a different shoe!

Love this shoe cute and comfy. The laces are nice too , they stay put. I love New Balance and Zappos. Two of my faves . I may get a second pair !

I found this shoe on a late night google search in desperation for help with plantar fasciitis. I’m a True over pronator inside deep heel pain. I’m also an avid ASICS purchaser and didn’t feel confident in the title “fresh foam” (because nike free’s got me into this PF mess) but I gave it a shot. I went to Zappos because last time I received my shoes in 24 hours, for free! (And I’m also a UNLV grad) I work in a busy busy emergency dept. as a RN and I’m on my feet all day long, more of a stop and go then a walking/running long distance. I have yet to put my insoles in the shoe and I’m not even sure I need to. These shoes + never walking barefoot have helped me tremendously. I purchased the light blue and it goes well with my navy blue scrubs, I get compliments all the time, and even if they were ugly as sin I’d still wear em’

In comparison with the 1080v7, I find these to be a teensy bit longer. On the plus side, the cushioning is much improved. I'm returning the white ones for the very shallow reason that I don't like how they look, but that's a luxury. Good running shoe! Elderflower color is better :)

These were recommended by a physical therapist. The wide toe box is great and the shoes are very comfortable. I needed to exchange for a half size larger than I usually wear but the exchange was extremel easy.

These shoes are fantastic. They have a very roomy toe box, but not so much that your foot moves around or feels loose. I have to use a firm arch support due to a heel spur/plantar fasciitis and these have plenty of room for that without feeling crowed (once insole is removed). The colors are very fresh and bright! The pink is quite fluorescent, but they are still good looking shoes. I've just managed to get the heel spur under control and I took a shot at a couple short jogs in these shoes and my arches felt supported and feet stable and cushioned.

First New Balance for me. These are fabulous and comfortable... nice wide foot box.

I measured the new 11.5 against my last years 1080 size 11, and they were exactly the same, so measured again.............yep, same size so had to return. My foot has flattened out a bit and I need a 1/2 size bigger.

Second pair! Love them.

I have been searching for a comfortable walking shoe with solid arch support that have good shock absorption. I was skeptical about these shoes after reading some of the reviews that commented on the wide look. In actuality, they are a bit wide in the toe area, but that is fine because I find that less constricting when I walk. I have worn them 2 times already, and walked over 3 miles each time. My feet feel good during and after the walk. They have excellent arch support which I feel is very uncommon-even in the more pricey sneakers. The shock absorption is good as well. I chose to ignore the reviews that comment about how they look! If my feet are comfortable and supported when I exercise--that's my main goal. I would definitely recommend these for a WALKING shoe/sneaker.

These have a nice wide toe box without being bulky. good cushioning and support. They do pinch a tiny bit at the ankle, but not enough for me to return them.

My feet were in HEAVEN .... I had forgotten just how comfortable New Balance was ..... This sneakers didn’t disappoint ..

Transitioning from Hoka to this and so far it’s not disappointing me. Had only put 8 miles on it so far and hasn’t given me any problems yet. Love it????

I like to call this shoe a "stable marshmallow." I have narrow, flat problem feet and these AA width are narrow enough, with a wide toe box, and have fabulous cushioning. I don't even need to wear my orthotics.

I’ve tried so many brands and wasn’t happy with any until these. Great cushion wide enough but not to wide . Very happy with my purchase.

These shoes are very lightweight. The toe bed is roomy. The green accent is not overpowering. I like them very much. It fits true to size.

I read a few reviews that made me slightly concerned about the toe box and sizing, but these are just like the previous version I had. The are cushiony, roomy in the toe box (I have a corn that kills me in regular shoes and sneaks) and I just went on a pain free run in them as soon as I got them. They are not the prettiest or most sleek shoes, but they are terrific for runners who need lots of support.

These shoes are so comfortable. The fit true to size and allow plenty of room in the toe box for my slightly wide foot. Super cute too!
