This shoe does not have the padding of previous NB models I have owned. Simply not enough cushioning for a running shoe for me.

The V7s had more medial support and accommodated my orthotics well. While these accommodate my orthotics, the hurt like the dickens. Less cushion, less support around the arch. Disappointing that they have changed for the worse

I was looking for sneakers to help with underpronation. These sneakers made me look like I was wearing orthopedic shoes. Also made my feet look huge, like clown feet. The back of the sneaker rubbed against my ankle as well. For this price, I expect near perfection. RETURNED.

Was in hopes that this style would provide extra cushioning unlike the harshness of the "mobility control" models recommended by my orthopedic surgeon. The shoe was UGLY. The wide width made my foot look huge and there was not much padding to soften the visual blow. Decided to keep the Hoka OneOne Clifton4 which provided a lot of cushion and style.

I'm a nurse and these shoes were purchased for work, 12 hour shifts on my feet. I bought a size up from my usual size. I was fairly pleased with the shoe and wore them 3 times a week for nearly 3 months. My love of the shoe ended, after I got the toes damp on a rainy day, running to my car at the end of my shift. I allowed the shoes to air dry. 4 days later they felt a little snug, then not long after the end of my toes hurt, the shoe had shrunk!!! It was as if the toe had curled up some against the end of my toes. I tried to wear them again, a couple of times, to see if they would return to their former length, but NO, my feel HURT! To say that I am disappointed is an understatement. It cost me about 5 bucks for each shift I wore them! I am not pleased!

Too much midfoot , my orthotics couldn’t sit flat. Toe box felt snug and shallow for an EE width

I wanted to love this shoe because it fits so nicely on my wide foot, but.... The insole is not connected well where the seams meet in the shoe. As a result (and I am on the 3rd pair FYI), when I walk, the insole "clicks" where the seam is when I bend my foot to take a step. It is so annoying! I love the deep toe box and everything else about the shoe though!

I love the look of these shoes. Unfortunately I will be returning them. I ordered a 2E width. They are extremely narrow and fit more like a regular wide would fit.

I bought these after buying several pair of the 1080 V6 & 1080 V7, which I loved. They are a completely different shoe for me. Feel half size longer. Little or no cushioning or arch support. Wore them once and my feet and knees hurt so badly that will be the last wear for me. I am very disappointed.

I am so disappointed in the change in the sole of this style. I loved the older version and walked everywhere in them.

I am an constant consumer of New Balance. Unfortunately, the sole of the left shoe is falling apart after 2 weeks. Now, this is rare as I have purchased these in the past. Another disappointment is that I reached out to Customer Service after sending pictures and still haven't had a response?

This is my Second pair. First pair great and helped ease knee pain so I wore them almost all the time. This pair hurt my feet. Makes my knees hurt more. Ridiculous at over $100.

The arch support is non-existing in this shoe! I have flat feet and I need a good arch support. After a few months of wearing these shoes my ankles became very painful! I finally realized it was the arch support in these shoes that was failing me! I ended up having to order a totally different shoe! Unfortunately, I had worn these and could not return them! If you need arch support,do not order these!

This is my second pair. My first pair was great, helped immeasurably with my knees. I had a difficult time finding the same style, 1080. The new pair is very uncomfortable, the fresh foam inserts are the problem. Pain is lessened if I wear the shoes without the inserts but then they don't fit properly. Why can't consistency be maintained? Especially on an item that sells for over $100.

Tried 3 times. Ordered an 8, then an 8.5, then an 8Wide. I even went and got my foot measured at a specialty store, I'm a solid 8. The eight was too narrow and my toes felt not only squished together but the big toes hit the top of the shoes. The mesh pushes down on toes. 8.5 was too big in the hell and I slipped around. 8W was better but same problem, the mesh pushes down on the big toes. I cut my nails shorter and it didn't make a difference. The top of the shoes dips down considerably so your toes may get squished from the top and the sides. Looked good but I can't have painful toes.

These shoes break down very quickly. This was a replacement pair. I thought the first pair was defective. However, after only 4-5 weeks, these are squeaking loudly and don’t provide the support I need. I’m very disappointed. I ordered another brand...

If you ever owned v6, you will not like these. Why does a company change the style when everyone loves them? V6 had more cushioning and a wider toe box-I usually wear a 10W, but had to get V8 in a half size larger. I've worn them twice and both times my feet hurt. Very disappointed and now looking at other brands for cushioned shoes. If New Balance actually reads the reviews, maybe they will go back to the way they used to make these shoes. From the comments I've read, others feel the same way I do.

I have worn previous models of this shoe and loved v6. This version is way too stiff and returned them. Go back to the technology of v6.

I am 5'8", 150 lbs, wear a size 10 street shoe and a 10.5 running shoe, and I run an average of 24-30 miles weekly. I have been wearing Hokas for years now and the newest version of my fave shoe is disappointing so I decided to branch out and see how New Balance is managing the cushioned shoe realm. I did my research and read blogs & reviews before putting the money down on these spendy shoes, and I can not run in them. The heel cushion is fine but I am a mid-foot striker, and I found the response a complete zero. The toe box is so wide, I feel like my feet are just flapping on the pavement. There is no spring, no energy, and I found my legs fatiguing quickly on runs further than a 10k. I do not recommend these shoes to anyone. I will be using them to walk the dog and continuing my search for my Hoka replacements.

So, it is getting harder and harder to find a decent walking shoe in any brand. They seem to have gone the way of the dinosaur in favor of these uber-cusioned running shoes. For decades, I have worn New Balance stability walking shoes. Stability, NOT motion control with the RollBar. This category is all but nonexistant from what I can find. I have worn the WW661 for 7 years (I bought 5 different pair) with wonderful success. Why must New Balance always discontinue a good thing? For those of use with problem feet and other physical problems, this is a serious issue. ANYWAY, after trying a few walking shoes that were nothing like what I was used to, I tried these shoes at the assurance of the sales rep that "you can walk in a running shoe although you can't run in walking shoe" ( I have heard this for years, but never really agreed with it, for good reason as I would discover), When I tried them on, the cushioning felt amazing, like it was custom-made for my foot. Well, that was the last time they felt good. When I got them home and tried them on around the house, I could tell immediately I had made a mistake. My body was completely unstable and unsupported. After wearing them for about an hour, my hips, back, neck, and shins were in complete agony. I did some research, and it turns out all these super-comfy, ridiculously padded shoes are doing us more harm than good in the long run, even for runners, but especially for walkers. Think shin splints and ankle sprains. Anyway, these went immediately back to the store. I am so discouraged with the direction New Balance has taken their shoes. Bring back the 661 or another stability walking shoe!!! Please!
