Very nice shoe, but did not fit my foot. The shoe is way too heavy for my feet (more than the 10 oz. shown in description). I don't think the price of this shoe is worth it. Not nearly comfortable enough for the price. The side rubber strip almost makes the shoe look like a "snow shoe" - much too wide. Zappos is again, wonderful for shipping and returns, Thank you Zappos! I'll try another lighter New Balance shoe.

I bought these shoes because some reviews suggested the ankles were less likely to roll around in them. I have rather slender ankles but flat feet such that choosing running shoes is a nightmare. I previously wore Mizuno and Brooks but my favorite models were discontinued. I decided to try these New Balance in size 9 narrow but they were way too tight in the mid portion. Since I am desperate for new running shoes, I may give these another shot in regular width though not impressed so far.

The fit in a 10 1/2 is B was good. The shoe was way to firm for my feet. I have had foot surgery and other orthopedic surgeries so not enough bounce. Zappos is awesome in their shipping and return policy. Love Zappos

While there was plenty of room in the toes, there wasn’t enough room in the heel. They were short in the back of the shoe. Also, they rubbed around the ankle. Unfortunately, I have to send them back.

This is my third pair of 1080v8 size 11 and somehow this pair fits smaller and is much less cushioney than the 2 other pairs (same size and width just different colors) I purchased in the past year. Before the v8 , I have purchased a few pairs of the 1080v7 which I also loved for the soft foot cushion. How can this pair be so different? I thought this pair would feel the same as the other 2 so I put them on and took my dog for her usual 1/2 hour walk and when I got home my feet actually hurt. Usually these shoes feel like a dream and I can't wait to put them on. But with this pair the toe box felt tight and the insole is harder. Ugh!!! Of course I can't return them now, but why can't NB be consistent in their quality control. Spending this much money for something that will be uncomfortable to wear is infuriating. I am very disappointed in this pair. New Balance is definitely going to hear about the inconsistencies in their product.

Pros--beautiful moderate to light denim color. good ventilation, extra lace hole near ankle, neutral foot bed is good for orthotics, wider outer sole contacting the walking surface makes me feel more stable, roomy toe box. Cons--shoe is about 1/2 size too short! My street shoe size is 7 1/2 womens. I bought a NB 1080PD v8 in size 8 and my toes are too close to the tip of shoe. So disappointed! I need to have almost a thumbs width at the tip of my shoe so my toes don't hit the edge or wear through the fabric. If anyone is listening, please make these shoes longer and true to size. Then I would rate the shoe five stars and buy several pairs.

I thought the shoe was cute and provided good cushion and comfort. However, I just couldn't get the fit right. The size 9 was too short and put too much pressure on my big toe. But the size 9.5 made the heel slip and irritate from rubbing up and down.

I have worn several New Balance shoes in the past - they are about the only company that makes shoes in wide sizes. I have had surgeries on both of my feet and have bunions and have had multiple stress fractures - so I absolutely need a shoe with a wide toe box and reasonable support. This are exceptionally wide in the toe box. I first ordered a 7 EE, but it was even too wide for me, and I liked it (after shoving my feet into impossibly skinny toe box shoes for years) but the heel slipped (I don't have fat heels) so...I returned it for a 7D, which fit reasonably well. I would say they are true to size both in length and width. The material is very nice and breathes. I don't know how well they would hold up if I were running the way I used to - rocks, sticks, etc...might break through the fabric fairly easily. They aren't terribly supportive, but better than Inov8 Shoes, which I like for bumming around (but not for running). I used to run a ton, but after two labral tear surgeries on my hip - I'm just able to run 2 miles or so every couple of days - not much at all. I wouldn't recommend them for a hard core runner, but right now I'm not and they work just fine for the minimal running I'm doing. I exclusively use them for running. They are quite wide and look a little boatee, but I think the color combination is nice blue and orange, and I don't mind the wide look - after all Hokas look like a cruise ship. I used to like Hokas the best when they first came out, but they've narrowed their shoes just like all other manufacturers and no longer fit my past fanatical runner feet.

I'm a person who has run excessive distances all her life - mostly on trails. I don't run that much any longer due to labral tears, but I still try to run when I can. These shoes are nice and wide (something that is hard to come by). I bought the EE width - comfy, but a bit too wide. I returned those and bought a D, which gives is very comfortable. The shoe itself doesn't lend enough support for a long-distance runner, but at this point in my running it works just fine for both street and trails. After a bit though, it won't have the grip needed for trail running. It's comfortable, roomy in the toe box, I like the shoe string - they don't always come undone, and the support is moderate to good. It's a nice looking shoe, and the material is nice, conforming, and breathable. Overall it's a pretty good shoe, but quite expensive.

Tight! I felt like my big toe was going to come poking out. I wore them with thin socks but my toes felt like they were being squished together, no wiggle room in the toe box. The rest was also tight but not as much as the toes. I wear an 8 M and ordered an 8 M.

Have a wide foot and bought the wide. Was too narrow. I have a bunion and hammer toe. Also my big toe was hitting the top of the shoe....wasn’t much room there either. Shoe is attractive though.

I have had the V6 since they came out, I should've purchased multiple pairs of that version because NB has not been able to get the softness the same with the V7 or the V8. I would say these run a tad but smaller, I wear a 9 in running shoes and these fit more like an 8.5 - this is still a well made shoe. I think there is a little more room in the toe box on these, and they feel good on my bunions. But I won't get rid of my V6 even with all the miles they have on them because they are the most comfortable shoe NB has ever made in my opinion.

Looked like "boats" on my feet (couldn't stop laughing). I wear 8EE in sneakers and boots but these were too short even for my short toes and the width was barely EE. They look much wider on the outside than they are on the inside. Sadly, I have to return.

These shoes were recommended to me because of all of my problems (bunions, plantar, shin splints, and some other unexplained problems) so far they're great but I haven't worn them outside yet. I'm worried a little bit because I walk on the outsides of my feet (supination) and the crash pad or back outsides of this shoe is so soft and squishy that I feel it makes me walk on the outsides still... anyone else have this problem? Or feel how chushion-y the heel part is?

I got these shoes about two weeks ago and I really enjoy running in them. However, on the right side I get a blister spot on the inside where the overlay connects. I don't get it on the left side. It happens just after 2 miles every time. Maybe I got a bad pair, I don't know. These are very comfortable shoes and hopefully you don't experience the same issue as I did.

These shoes were comfy enough but I couldnt get past the duck feet look. They run really wide. I should have listened to the other reveiws. I ordered medium width, felt more like wide. About a half inch bigger in size too in my opinion. Comfort was great but just felt to roomy for support.

The color was more bright then it seemed online. I don't know why, I have another pair in the black/one but these don't fit as well.

Didnt like. Im a size 7 and had to order 8.5 so my toe had enough room length wise. Then soe was super wide (I have a narrow foot) and looked like I had diving fins since they were so big. Looked cheap too. Ugly running shoe.
I'd also recommend:

The color was very off. Expected it to be more gray but it's more blue and brighter than expected.
Very weird because I own the black and white one but the fit feels different and less supportive.

Unfortunately these didn't work for me. I needed a pair of shoes that would protect my Morton's Neuroma and research showed these would work. I found there to be not much cushioning in the footbed although the toe box was nice and roomy. If I didn't have a painful ball of my foot I would have kept them.

The shoes fit well and I like the feel of the cushioning. BUT, when I put the shoes on, the tongue reaches about an inch over my ankle and rubs against my chin when I run. It's so long! Can't run in these; they'll chafe.
