I ordered these about 2 weeks ago. Ship was great, super fast! Upon opening the boot I was initially dismayed. I purchased the military/glossy red. Mine arrived with a white film on them, no gloss look at all. I chalked it up to sitting in a warehouse somewhere. Wore them for the 1st time today. Thought that wiping down with a warm wet rag would be sufficient. The film came right back. With a typhoon outside, needed to wear them anyway. Also, I cant get the buckle on the side to lay flat like the picture. Im beginning to wonder if these are authentic. Id like to see a few pair up close to see if there are issues with my buckle or if this is how they are made. I can say that they were truly comfortable. Just not worth the money for the way they look.

Gross- I ordered these and they were most definitely not glossy. They had some kind of white film on them that made them look ruddy and felt gross. I tried to wipe it off in an unconspicuous spot with no luck. Returned!

I love the look and fit (although fit is wildly variable) of this boot. However, the rubber cracked and the boot leaked, the buckles both cracked and broke, all within a year of purchase. Perhaps Hunter has cheapened its product? I am a very disappointed customer.

I wish that I had read more reviews before I bought these concerning the width at the calf. I do not have large calves by any means but they were just a little too snug, I ordered in my normal size I think a size down would have been uncomfortable with any socks. But thankfully Zappos has amazing customer service and exchange policy and within 24 hours the adjustable tall boot was here, and they fit perfectly!

My boots are three years old and there's tears in the sides! I called Hunter customer service in which they told me to contact Zappos since that's where I purchased them. Since it's been three years, there's nothing they can do for me. Enjoy your boots while they last!

I spent a lot of time debating original or adjustable? I have athletic calves and the original was simply too tight for the way I wanted to wear my pants legs inside of the boot. Plus they were difficult to remove once on. I ordered the Dusty Petrol color which I did think was very attractive! Be careful they do run large...I wear between a 8.5-9 and I ordered a 8; there was plenty of room to accommodate socks.

I am a true size 7.5 in all shoes. Sometimes, I have to go down to a 7 but I rarely ever wear a size 8 (except maybe in sneakers). So after reading all the reviews that said to order down, I ordered a size 7. The size 7 was okay if I wore a thin pair of socks, but I wanted to be able to wear these in the snow with the Hunter boot socks or thick wool socks. These socks made the boots too small so I returned them for a size 8. When I received the 8s, they fit with the thick socks but seemed significantly taller than the 7s. I am only 5'3" and the boots cut into my mid-knee, which was uncomfortable when walking and especially sitting. I really wanted to love these boots; they seemed high in quality and were very cute but are unfortunately not good for short people! I ended up returning them and getting the Original Tours, which are slightly shorter but even a kids pair probably would've been better for me.

I ordered a size 8, which is what I normally am and the fit was fine. There was enough room for thicker socks. The color, however, is a lot more purple than they look in the photo. The photo shows them as having a reddish tinge, but they are just purple. I was a little disappointed in the color.

Love the style and color of these boots but, I was highly disappointed when the boots were way too narrow in the calve. I am a soccer player and have semi muscular legs but, these boots are far too narrow in the calves. Someone must have to have chicken legs to fit into these boots.

I ordered these in the Blue Lily when I saw them for the awesome sale price of $90! I did take note of the measurements prior to ordering, but figured I could always return if they didn't work out. I wear a 7 1/2 in most shoes. I read many reviews that suggested to order down, but I ordered an 8 simply because a 7 was sold out at the time I purchased them. As far as the footbed, an 8 worked fine for me. It was a little big, a 7 1/2 would have been perfect if they had half sizes, but a 7 would have been way too tight and would not have allowed me to wear thick socks in the winter months. Ultimately, I had to return these because the calf was just too tight. There is absolutely no stretch in these boots, so don't order thinking you can make it work because that's what I thought! I love everything about these boots, I just wish the calf area was larger. I will return this Original pair for the Huntress style, which has a calf of 16 1/2 inches, but am disappointed they do not have the Blue Lily color in those. If you are able to fit these boots, you will love them! They are so comfy and well-made. Just note the measurements before your purchase!

Super cute and I want to give this 5 starts but they are very tight around my calves. Could just be my issue but I was hoping they'd be a little looser. I don't have overly large calves but I would say unless you're very petite these may be too tight for the average Jane.

I love the color of these boots, but unless you have TINY calves, your legs won't fit into these at all, let alone with jeans or pants. I tried them on and within seconds I knew I would be sending them back. I am going to try the Hunter boots that are adjustable in the back. Unfortunately, the adjustable ones don't come in this color.

I loved the look of these boots, but they were too tight on my calf so I returned. In their place I ordered the Balmoral and I'm waiting on those to arrive to see if the fit is better.

I have been in love with these boots forever and was so excited to finally order a pair. They are so stylish and being 5'7''I love the height of them. I also have pretty skinny calves (@13.5-14) and the calf circumference was good for me. A little roomy with leggings but enough room to comfortably wear skinny jeans & socks. Unfortunately after much deliberation they just aren't going to work for me. I wear a size 9-9.5M in almost every boot/shoe I own, so I ordered these in a 9 figuring I would have room for thicker socks. I was SWIMMING in a size 9, my skinny heels and ankles were flopping all over the place, so I ordered an 8 to compare. The 8s came and they were way too tight, my toes were at the very end of the boot even with thin or no socks on. I give them only 2 stars for comfort for this reason because I could not feel confident or comfortable walking in them in either size. I still give them 5 for style and 5 overall because I think they are very high quality, attractive, and the Graphite Gloss color is versatile for many outfits and more fun than basic black. If only Hunter would make 1/2 sizes, I am 100% positive an 8.5 would have been perfect for me. Sadly these are going back, as I just can't justify $140 on something that doesn't fit perfectly, no matter how cute! I will always admire these boots on others though. :)

The tops of these boots are tight on my calfs, and I have skinny legs. They run a bit big in the foot but definitely could be a bit looser on the top. When I put in the boot liners I have trouble getting them over my calfs. I wish that I had tried them on in person before buying online. I bought the boot liners here at Zappos but not the boots so the return is not as easy as with Zappos. I will probably keep them but I would like to tuck my jeans into the boot liners and the boot liners into the boots and that is definitely tight on the calfs. The top of the boots seems to be more of a rectangle than an oval.

These boots came up very high on my legs. They fit right up under my knee cap, making it difficult to walk and I am 5'7". I have several pairs of boots in other brands and have never had an issue with them being too tight in the calf, but the Hunter boots were very tight. I was not able to wear them and sadly had to send them back.

I really liked these boots, but had to return them. I am 5'3. The boot was too high and cut into the back of my knee. I bought the short boots instead, which are a much better height. It's too bad the tall boots are too tall! Another thing to note: with out the welly socks, the boots are too large. With the welly sock, they fit perfectly. I recommend ordering your usual size AND the socks - they'll do nicely to keep your feet toasty when it's cold and rainy! They fit well over skinny jeans.

These have a very slim shaft. I was hoping to be able to tuck my jeans into them but they are too narrow in the calf. (I don't normally buy a wide calf boot.) The foot is comfortable but I don't know if I would purchase again for practical reasons.

This boots were really big. I wear a 6 and the 6 was super loose. Felt bulky and hard to walk in. I am not usually a boot wearer.

As of right now, I still don't have these shoes. Zappos has been so helpful with my returns, but I am not so happy with Hunter. I usually wear a 9.5 so I ordered the 9 which for ok with a thin sock. Only problem, I live in the north where it gets cold early so I need to wear a thick sock most of the fall, winter and spring. So I ordered the 10. I got them and they are so big my foot felt like it was drowning in it! They also hit much higher than the 9 on my leg as well as bunching awkwardly around my ankle when I walked. I'm currently awaiting the pair of 9's to be sent back to me so I can try them again.

I love these boots. Except for one major disappointment. They don't stay glossy. Not sure why, but once I wore them (only twice) they lost their gloss? And it was pretty much all over the boots. Not just like a scuff mark or anything, but they almost look like they have a film over them. You probably can't tell from a distance, but I can definitely see it while wearing. They are comfortable and stylish, but the whole non-glossy thing has me bummed!

I so badly wanted to fall in love with these boots, because they look so stinkin' cute. I love the violet color (which is really a beautiful bright raspberry) and the taller than average height is great, even though I'm only 5'0". I love that they hit just under the knee, and have a perfect heel height. Unfortunately, there were two main problems that forced me to return them. First, I'm a half size and that left me completely in the lurch. I normally wear a 5.5 medium and the 6 was huge and the 5 was too small. The size 6 was comfortable with the fleece wellies socks (sold separately) but I wouldn't wear fleece socks in the Summer and they were too big with regular socks. Secondly, I have very skinny calves and these wouldn't even remotely be called snug on average sized calves. Even with jeans, these were huge around the calf. So the moral of the story is, they are very true to size and not for those with skinny calves. I kept the fleece socks to wear with the replacement boots I'm now hunting for. I'd pay double for a pair of Hunter skinny boots if they existed!

When I first opened the box, I fell in love with these boots. Absolutely gorgeous! I usually wear a size 9.5 or 10 but I bought a 9. Perfect fit! My only problem is my calf. These boots are NOT for us ladies with a muscular calf! I ended up exchanging them for the short version.
