Can't really say how comfortable it was because I didn't get to wear this boot. My calf is 15.25" and this boot was too snug to wear.

I love these boots! Can't wear them much here in Cali though. I couldn't decide on the short or tall ones, tried them both and went with the tall boots. The short ones made me look like I was trying to fit into kid rain boots...I'm 5'1. I thought the tall boots would make me look shorter, but they don't, they looked classier. I'm a size 7.5 and the 7 was perfect a tittle loose but with thick socks its awesome. I went with the gloss. I read a lot of reviews that said that gloss wears out, but I figured since I'm in Cali the gloss should last for some time. I hope this review helps some one. I read all the reviews on short and tall before making my purchase and still couldn't decide until I tried them both on.

I just love these boots. They are super comfortable, edgy and feel kind of cool walking around in them! I highly recommend them. I just wish they had some kind of padding to make them feel cozier and warmer.

Great boots! Bought them for a school trip to London and were perfect for all the rain. Everyone owns a pair there! Even hold up well for day long walking tours!

I was looking for a fun, colorful rain boot, and found it in these Hunters. I love the color (it is more fuchsia than purple) and they are very comfortable. I have flat feet and they still feel great. FYI they run large. I'm a 10 normally but ordered a 9 and they fit great. I also want to give a shout-out to the Zappos staff, after I misaddressed my package, they called UPS, arranged for an interception, and rerouted my package and it still got here overnight! Thank you, Zappos!

These are great rain boots. I have weak feet, which limits what I feel comfortable in, but I was able to wear these all day with no problems. The natural rubber feels like swoosh underfoot and still gives great traction both to my feet and the soles of the boots. Although I bought them to wear at work (stable hand) in the rain/mud, they have become my favorite shoes to wear whenever and wherever it's wet. Other reviewers mentioned the sizes run small, but I did not find that to be the case. I ordered using the European sizing system.

I am a 7 1/2 in sneakers and ordered a 7 in the Hunter rain boot. It fit perfectly! I even added the official Hunter socks into them and my feet fit the boots like a glove. The red is deeper than the picture shows, which I love. I walked around all day in these boots and not only did I get many compliments but my feet were very relaxed. Zappos delivers immediately. I ordered Wednesday night and received them Friday morning. As long as you order your correct size, you will love them.

After scouring the internet for the perfect pair of rain boots to save me from the ridiculous California rain, I saw these Hunters and initially thought it was highway robbery to pay over this much for rain boots! (especially when you live in California and it rarely rains) I decided to splurge and these literally saved me from soggy socks, shoes, and jeans. They kept me dry and for once, I didn't mind going out in the rain. They're fairly comfortable, slightly on the heavy side, but are adorable with most anything you wear. They are a little tough to get off however. I usually holler to my husband to help me get them off.

These boots were perfect. The size was right on target. My only comment would be that I expected them to be a bit glossier finish, more like a high gloss. But I purchased them for my daughter and she loves them!

These rain boots are the best! I wear them with thick socks. You'll be toasty warm, dry and stylish in these. There's a reason they are a classic style - excellent workmanship, comfort and style in one package.

These are the perfect boot! For some reason the glossy boot fits much better than the matte colors. I take a size 7 in almost all shoes. On rare occasions I take a 6.5. However, the 38 (US 7) was way too big. The size 37 (US 6) were actually the perfect size for me! (I know that seems very confusing.) To put it simply, if you take between a 6.5 and a 7, I'd definitely recommend getting the size 6 in this boot. I absolutely love these boots. They're well worth the money!

I ordered these Hunter boots for my daughter for Christmas. After looking at reviews on this site, I decided to order down a size from her usual size 8. They fit her perfect and she loves them! She's away at college and has to walk in all kinds of weather. I'm glad I read the reviews about sizing. They also arrived very quickly!

My girlfriend loves them. She says they fit true to size. She definitely recommends the knit socks Hunter makes for them. They have good traction for snowy days and keep the water out. I'd say they were a good Christmas present.

I chose the Hunters for our holiday trip to North Carolina, thinking they are a timeless style that could outlive several years - plus they look cute! They were perfect. I jumped in icy cold creeks and marched through very deep snow. Great! I did not get the warm welly's and certainly could've used them - worth the extra bucks. I will definitely need them and purchase for any future snowy adventures. The gloss sheen has held up very well and still look as good as new. But I can see how if you used it an entire season, it might start to look dull. I think I'll use these for years to come and even on rainy days here in hurricane Florida. They are totally waterproof. I got my exact shoe size (not larger or smaller) - they fit perfect. I have slightly wide feet, but never need wide shoes normally. I did not try them with welly's yet, but seems there is enough room that it won't be any problem. My skinny jeans fit for a crisp look and my wider legged jeans fit in just fine for a more rugged look. Fashionably fabulous. I was looking at Ugg's too, but their soft outer material would not last more than a day in any serious mud or slushy snow. The Hunter's were great and I love them, even just seeing them in my closet makes me happy.

These boots are perfect! I can wear them in the snow, and I love the fact that you can tighten them at the top to help keep your feet dry. It's also nice that they come without lining so that your feet don't get hot if you wear the boots on a warm, rainy day. The lining is awesome for colder weather. The boots are also super easy to clean, but do read the care instructions as sunlight and certain cleaning products could damage them. Get a size bigger if you plan to use the lining!

My daughters (20 somethings in Chicago) love their Hunter boots. However, the sizing on the welly socks is misleading. They wear an 8 boot and this size recommended a large welly sock. "Too big," so I have to reorder and get the Medium. Quick great service!

I bought these for my daughter for Christmas. She absolutely loves them. Very true to size and I went with the glossy black. After reading other reviews I decided to just go with heavy wool socks for her to wear with them. They work perfect. The shipping with Zappos is like none I have ever experienced! Fast! Everyone says to order a size down, but in my case I needed a size up in order to fit skinny jeans and wellie socks. Thanks to Zappos great return policy I was able to get the correct size. Great alternative to ruining another pair of Uggs in the midwest slush and salt.

Bought these for my daughter, she does a lot of walking around the city and they are great at keeping her feet dry. They run a little big. We bought the socks to go in them and they fit well with the socks. Plus the socks jazz up the look a little.

Bought as a Christmas gift, these boots are fabulous! They arrived on time and just in time for the blizzard after Christmas. While others were dealing with wet feet, the Hunter boots kept feet warm and dry. The teal color is very cute and the overall styling is serviceable and sleek. The calf can be snug,keep that in mind. My daughter loves her Hunter boots.

I just got these boots (ordered just yesterday...thank you Zappos) and I love them! I usually wear a 7&1/2 and the 38 is perfect. So cute and comfy - warm them up with woolly socks and I am good to go through the Utah slush! Makes me excited to go out today just so I can wear my darling hunter boots. By the way, I ordered the teal color and it is adorable...great with any color combination, and perfect with skinny jeans. I couldn't be happier.

I too agonized over the purchase of rainboots at this price, so they were a gift from my mom for Christmas! Of course I tried them on at the store - black, original gloss - 1st so I knew that if I wanted to wear any socks (and trust me you do) you must go a 1/2 size up. I am 7.5 in dress shoes, and 8 in all other. I went with the 8, easier to remove that way too vs. guy at store helping me pull the more snug size 7's off, no thanks. I bought a pair of zebra print wellies, also size 8 (they will feel roomy) because if you wear little bootie socks beneath the wellies or all by themselves, you'll be fine vs. going a size smaller (7 in my case) and feeling claustrophobic with socks. They look gorgeous (as far as rainboots go)...very sleek and match with everything. Worn over skinny pants easily if you have small-med sized calves...I could see how larger calves could have a problem. Also my mom ordered them the day before they arrived, quick and free shipping, awesome! Now just hoping it rains more often.

I love these boots! Look really great and super comfortable. And I love that when it rains, I have the right shoes and that I no longer need to worry about ruining my others. If they were less expensive, I'd probably buy another color.
