So far, I'm pretty sure I'm going to love these boots! I'm relocating to a farm in hilly North Carolina where these are sure to get great use. As most, I was a bit dismayed by the price, but if they last a lifetime, in the end it's justifiable. The Hunter Original Gloss boot is not quite as "red" as I wanted; I like more of a blue based red and these, to me, seem a bit more "orange red", although they are still red, that's for sure. Not quite as glossy as I had imagined, either. They don't make my feet look enormous (I wear a size 10), which is a miracle! I'm probably going to order at least one more pair in that dark grey and maybe the dark purple - those were my other favorites. But red is so versatile. Comfy, easy to clean, and how can you beat Zappos quality and service? Get these boots!

These boots are adorable in person. I am 5'2, and I was worried they would be too tall, but they actually hit an inch below my kneecap. I am usually always a size 7 in woman's and I got these in a size 6 woman's (US). The tag shows it is EU size 37. Note that other reviews are true and these do run large. I ordered a size down from my usual size, and they fit snug with the welly socks. Lastly, the red is a true, vibrant, tomato red.

Great traction and very comfortable for a rainboot. Hope to keep these for years to come.

Plenty has been said about the Hunter gloss and I will only address a few things. Regardless of what you think of the styling, these boots are well constructed and very functional. I live in an urban area and have to walk up to 2 hours a day. These are comfortable, and feel more like a sneaker because of the flexible rubber and heel. I bought the black gloss and they are fine, not too shiny. Regarding fit, that depends on what type of pants and socks you plan to wear. I normally wear a 6.5 or 7 shoe, and chose a UK 4 (women's 6) Hunter. The foot area is very roomy, but with jeans tucked in the shaft holds my legs well and there is no slippage. I have skinny, athletic calves and don't have a problem with the shaft being too tight. The UK4 measure 14.5" or 15" around the inside top. The two final things I will mention about the Hunter original gloss is that the boot is pretty unbreathable, so any moisture in the boot is going to stay inside the boot unless you are careful about trying to air it out. Lastly, the boots themselves smell like rubber. Understandable, of course, but it's noticeable when I store them in the closet. I am assuming that the rubber smell will wear off eventually. Overall, very happy with these and for the use I will get out of them, they are worth the price.

I have a pair of Hunters that are so old they were made in England (they are now made in China). I was reluctant to order new ones because I thought the quality would be less. Happily, I was wrong. My new Hunter boots are very well made, cut perfectly for my not-very-thin leg, and comfortable. The shiny purple is nice, too. Oddly, they are a couple inches taller than my old ones, but I'm 5'11", so the height is a good thing. I'm very happy with my purchase. Zappos upgraded the shipping, too!

I was always skeptical about spending this amount on a rain boot. For the past year, I wore cheaper boots that I bought at a department store. As someone who walks everyday on my commute to work, these cheaper boots were not flexible or supportive. Once I finally gave in and bought the Hunter boots, I was extremely pleased. They are flexible, supportive and worth every penny. They are my rain boots, snow boots, and walking boots. Hunter is a trusted name for a reason, and buying them off of Zappos.com with free shipping is the only option that makes sense.

Great boots. Keep my feet dry and toasty warm with a thick pair of socks. They are nicely fitted and do not feel like a big clunky rubber boot. Worth the money.

I originally got these boots in black but when I got them home I knew that I needed them in red. I am so happy with them, overall. I got them a bit big for layering socks but they still feel good when I don't need all the layers.

These boots are awesome! They keep your feet warm and dry. I also bought the cream and gray cable knit fleece sock liners and my feet were toasty warm in them! They run large so I ordered an 8 because I am usually an 8 1/2, and even a 9 sometimes. The 8s fit perfectly. These boots are a must!

My boots arrived very quickly and are absolutely necessary for the cold and wet winter we've been having. Also, the color is fantastic, stylish and fun!

I must admit that I initially wanted to get these particular boots because they were in style. But I will say they are incredibly well-made, comfortable, and practical. I purchased the teal boot and the cream welly sock. Like several other people said, the teal provides a nice subtle pop without being too over the top. The cream welly looks perfect with it - I don't think there is another color that would look as good. I usually wear a 6.5-7, and got the 37 in this boot. Without the welly sock, they were a tiny bit loose. With the sock, they were initially tight but got more comfortable after one wear. They are a little difficult to take off - I still have to put some serious effort into taking them off when I have the sock on. Without the welly sock, these boots are going to be perfect in the warmer rainy season. If you are on the fence about these, get em! You won't have buyer's remorse.

Love these boots. They're a common sight here in NYC and with all the terrible weather we've been having, I've been in dire need of a pair of good rain boots. After buying to many pairs of terrible ones that break after one use, it made sense for me to invest in a pair of hunter boots. True to size, super comfortable, I love them and I only got them yesterday. I'm only 5'1 and they fit like a dream and look great. They also fit my calf perfectly. I highly recommend them. They're worth the investment.

This is such a great boot! It fits perfectly, and it keeps me dry. The price is worth it, you definitely get what you pay for. I have muscular calves, and they fit perfectly. Best shoe purchase I have made to date.

Love these boots. So comfortable because they are made out of rubber. Absolutely no regrets. I'm 5.6 and 135 lbs and these fit my average calves perfectly.

Let me first say - it has taken me awhile to come to fully accept and LOVE these boots. I am a standard 7.5 in almost all shoes and I followed suggestions and ordered a women's 7...when I received the first pair, they felt pretty spacious, so I thought I'd return them and go for a women's 6 instead. Upon receiving the women's 6, they were quite snug. I walked to work in them one day and could feel it rubbing my heel. I decided to return them thinking I had lost my shot at having Hunter boots because they did not come in half sizes. I went to a department store to try on the 7 again convinced that maybe they weren't THAT big. The man who helped me was incredibly nice and brought out different types of socks to try on with the boots. After walking around the store with different layers I realized that they are much more comfortable and practical with a little space. I don't think I'd want rubber boots that didn't have a little space and that could accomodate different thicknesses of socks underneath. I came back to Zappos and ordered a pair in 7 again and am thrilled. After wearing them a few times thus far, they are extremely comfortable (way more flexible and cushy than other rainboots I tried) and even with some space while wearing thinner socks or tights, I am totally comfortable and dry from rain and snow! Overall, this was a great investment.

Like them very much; still debating if I should stay with them or not - a bit tight at the calves.

The boots fits great, but its too small around the calves. Going to return it for the Hunter short, hopefully this fits.

Loving them! Very comfortable and does the job. The lining makes them easier to get on and off than most tall pull on boots which is nice. They won't keep your feet super warm in deep snow but I found that there is room to layer longer and shorter socks which helps quite a bit. By the way- I did try the fleece socks but thought they were uncomfortable and a strange fit. The only thing that I would wish were that they were slightly more tapered at the ankle but not a big deal at all.

These boots have been my saving grace this winter. They're very comfortable and attractive. I have worn them every day in the snow - if you live in a colder state, I recommend getting the Hunter socks as well.

Love my Hunters! The color isn't too bright but gives just enough color to add a little zing to my outfits. I've received so many compliments on the boot...even my boyfriend (who hates my style of shoes) things these are cute! They are definitely worth the money!

I love Zappos! I first ordered a size down after reading other reviews but needed to exchange them for my normal size - I think they run true to size. The boots are comfortable and so easy to get on and off - not to mention trendy and keep your feet dry! So happy with my purchase!

These boots make me look forward to the rain! I'd recommend them in red to add some color to the dreary weather. Like others have mentioned, they run a big, so order at least a half size smaller.

Love them! The only boots I have that are super fashionable, but super functional too! Love that I can wipe them clean with a wet rag! Great shoes!

Bright, shiny boots, the color is true to the picture. I get lots of compliments when I wear them. After reading the reviews I was prepared for a looser fit, and they are a bit loose unless I wear either the Welly socks or another thicker sock. I first ordered them in brown, liked them so much I ordered them in a second, brighter color. They make me smile when I put them on.
