I usually wear Columbia boots 7.5W - this pair feels narrow and as comfortable as other Columbia boots. I did not return them because they look nice and it's hard to find black suede boots with black sole.

I am ALWAYS a size 8.5 regular width in every pair of Columbia boots that I've ever tried on. I don't know what happened with the manufacture of this style. It is so cute but I was so disappointed to find that they were so tight in both length and width, I swear they had the wrong size on the label. They felt like I was jamming a size 7 on my foot. I've never encountered a shoe that was so far off on the size. They're really cute though. Very sad I don't have enough time before my trip to order up a size and a half or two. I should've listened to the other reviewers :(

I love these boots. They’re the exact height I needed for winter walks. I’m also grateful for the reviews of other Zappos customers on the sizing. These DO run small. Definitely size up. I’m typically a 7, cautiously bought an 8 based on the other reviews & they are a perfect fit!

I usually wear 8.5 medium width, but I had to step up to size 9 wide for this particular model. No idea why, but thanks to easy return/exchange from the Big Z, it was no problem to get the right fit.

I’m so bummed that these didn’t work out because they seem like a really good shoe. The black with blue accents is really pretty and they have great arch support. But unfortunately, even though I ordered a full size up as reviews suggested, and got the “wides,” they were still so narrow that I don’t think even another half size up would be wide enough. I’m so tired of women’s shoes saying they’re “wide” and then they’re just sized so that normal people’s feet won’t be crushed, instead of making them for people with *actually* wide feet. Not even going to attempt any Columbia brand shoes again now that I know they’re so narrow, which is a shame because they’re basically the only ones in my price range. :(

I wear 8.5 wide. The box is marked as wide, however, the shoe is definitely not wide. I love the style and color.

I'm usally a size 6M. I ordered 6.5M, 7 M and finnaly 7W and the toebox on these shoes was still insanely tight even with light to mid weight socks! I gave up and have to return all three. I can't imagine trying to hike in these.

I lost track of how many hiking boots I tried on for a trip to the Swiss Alps that will involve serious, long hikes. I tried all of Wirecutter's recommendations and hated them all - either too stiff, too uncomfortable, not supportive in the ankle...I tried ordering fancy boots from Back Country and Sierra Trading Post - not one worked. These Columbia Crestwood were comfortable right out of the box! I've been doing chores around the house in them and they are as comfortable as sneakers. Love them!

As other customers have stated, these run very small. Go one full size up.

Great looking shoe and it fits great until I put a sock on my foot. I will be reordering this same shoe, if available, in a 1/2" larger.

Felt too big even though it was the right size. Very stiff to walk in.

I sized up a half size to allow for warmer socks, and they fit great. I've been wearing them around the house all day and I don't want to take them off. They look good, as far as hiking boots can, and seem well made with a good tread.

I ordered these boots because they have the waterproof feature and they were available in a Wide width. However, when first tried them on they were too narrow for my forefoot and returned them.

I chose these boots along with the Merrell Moab boots because they were waterproof, mid-height, and reviews were favorable. The Columbia boots were much narrower in the toe box than the Merrells so back they go. Aside from being too narrow, the Columbias seemed like a good boot in all other respects.
