I have a narrow foot with high arches and trim ankles, but could not get this boot on. I pulled and tried to stand my foot down to no avail (and a sore ankle). Loved the leather and sad that I couldn’t make my foot go all the way down.

The boot shaft was so narrow that I couldn't even pull them over my feet. I am a petite woman, so this was unusual and disappointing.

The style and price are awesome. But the calf is not wide. I could not pull it up over my calf.

Believe the reviews! I read dozens of reviews saying these boots were impossible to pull on but ordered them anyway since my foot is fairly narrow and I have several pull on boots... No way could I get them on. ?. I guess that is why it is called “the wisdom of the crowd.” LOL

I expected a more well fitting boot for this price. When I opened the box, I checked the outside of the boots and the souls. I noticed there was some “scuffing” on the souls. That indicated to me that someone had tried them on before. Then I put the boots on. When I put the right one on, it was apparent it had been tried on and worn around a bit - you know when you see the creases in the leather when you step. Also, the right boot felt bigger than the left. Overall, I was hoping for a more luxurious boot, but these were not it. I feel like I’m better off purchasing a boot made of synthetic material for better fit and price.

These were definitely too big. I’d say at least 1/2 size. It seems like Frye boots are not the quality they use to be. This is my 2nd pair from Zappos. The first pair was too small.

I really really wanted to love these boots. However, the fit was so off I had to return them. The ankle area was huge and almost baggy. The heal was very loose. The shaft of the boot was wider than I wanted. I was very disappointed, as I really wanted a pair of Frye boots. These were the oddest fitting boots I have ever tried on in my life.

Beautiful looking boots BUT I actually think they are made for a specific type of foot. [?] I'm still confused about the fit with these. I read all the reviews before purchasing, took my calf measurements etc. and when they arrived I had THEE HARDEST TIME getting my calves through, meaning if I was at someone's house putting these on in front of them I would be so embarrassed because it would look like I was trying to put on a size 6 when i'm an 8. Well, when I finally did get my calves through [after about 30 seconds of tugging] my feet were slip-sliding everywhere and when I walked around my house in them to be sure of the fit, I was constantly focused on scrunching up my toes to create some sort of pressure against the boots so they would hold still while walking. I don't think i've ever left a shoe review before [granted, i'm not the best at leaving reviews] but these boots need a Buyer Beware sign that reads: Must have no calf definition and your feet must be larger in proportion to your body.... I dunno guys, these boots are tripping me out...they're so beautiful, it's a bummer they can't fit like most tall boots. I was really looking forward to these since i'm 5'4" and it is hard finding elegant [but not elderly looking] boots that hit below my knees. *Also, they come in two different widths... and as I write this review i'm now realizing that perhaps I should have gone with the wide width in a size 7.5 or maybe even 7 [?] because my feet were swimming! Rather than go through the hassle of ordering again, I think it's best to try them on in the store to see. :/

I think that these may have been the right foot size but I LITERALLY couldn't get my foot in. I have .5 size bigger and my heel comes up, those are also impossible to take off. But the ankle/heel area is SO small I gave up tryin.

The boot was true to size in length but narrow. The size 8 fit which is my usual size but too narrow. The 8.5 was too big and wasn't narrow. Hope this wasn't confusing. Also I'm 5'0" and the shaft of the boot is too high.

Impossible to slip on. Had to wiggle, twist and force my foot in. Absolutely no flexibility and very stiff once I finally got a foot in to test. Once on, almost impossible to get back off. Not worth the money and I even got them 1/2 off. Pass!

I was so hopeful that these boots ended my boot search... but sadly I returned them. I wore the ONE time and the sole already started to show wear and even broke-off a little bit in the toe portion. The material is far too soft... I can't imagine what they would look like after years of wear!! Overall the boot was good though, good style and comfort. I typically wear an 8 and they felt pretty true to size (perhaps a TAD big). Again, I'm returning not because of the style and comfort, but because of they way the boots wore after only one use. Really expected better quality from Frye.
