This shoe is almost identical to the Taos Star except that it has a suede or leather upper rather than canvas. The fit and insole are exactly the same. I found the toe box on both these models too shallow and a little shorter and narrower than the Taos Plim Soul which is more comfortable and offers a little more support and cushion.

These are cute though didn't fit me well. They definitely run small and I would exchange for a half size bigger but I found the insole to be too firm for me. I like a lot of cushioning under the ball of my foot because of pain I get, but these were too hard. I tried other similar style sneakers and those were too narrow but these have a bit more width to them which would have been nice if they worked out.BTW they have good arch support for those needing it.

Ordered several pairs of leather/suede flat sneakers and these were the ones I kept. Even though I wear an orthotic, the insole it comes with was pretty supportive. Wide enough to accommodate flat feet, bunions, and thick walking socks. Blue suede is a great color. 2 sets of laces is nice too.

Sneakers looked good, but the material was too stiff. I prefer not to have the take the time to break them in, so I returned them.

Like other reviewers said, these run a little small. I usually wear a 6.5 and ordered a 7, which fit, although bordering on too small. These shoes are super cute and I really wanted to love them, but even just walking a bit around the house to try them, they felt like they were rubbing on my heels in an odd way. They just didn't feel good, so I am returning them.

I was really disappointed with these shoes. I didn’t find the arch support to be that great and the wide spread laces made my narrow feet look very wide.

Ordered up a size and still snug. Cute but comfort not there, and for this price, it should be!

I returned these due to the stiffness and lack of cushion. I wear custom orthotics but those couldn’t make up for the lack of impact absorption. I’m a fast walker but these killed my feet. It’s a shame, as I absolutely loved the look of them.

Let be the shoe. Wanted it to work. But I’m an 8. The 38 is too small and the 39 is too large. Frustrating with European sizing trying to marry to US sizes. Some companies say to go 38, some say 39...if you’re between sizes it’s always going to be a crapshoot.

This shoe is really cute but I had to return them because my heels kept slipping out.

I didn’t really love the style of this shoe. Also it pinched my left baby toe but that is my foots fault not the shoe.

Nice shoe but one half size larger and my toes crunched up against the front of the shoe.

A good looking shoe with great arch support. However, the orthotics lifted my heel too high and I felt like I was walking out of the shoe. I had to return them. Many thanks to Zappos for their easy return policy. I will be looking to purchase other shoes in the future.

These shoes are very cute, but were way too big and too wide. I had to return them.

I had high hopes for the shoes everyone says are so comfortable. If I took the arch support out and matched my arch to the arch support, my toes were at least a half inch over the top. I don’t think sizing up or down would have helped.

I was going to give these shoes a good review but today I noticed the bottom of the shoe had come apart. I haven’t worn these shoes a lot and I’m not hard on my shoes so I am very disappointed that they are falling apart after such a short period of time. I will not be buying another pair of this style.

Cute but the back was rigid and squeezed my heel.

I'm usually a 7.5, but following the order-up advice, ordered an 8. The shoes fit perfectly - better than any pair of shoes I currently own. For the first week, they were fantastic. I wore them casually, just for walking around town. They were heavier than I expected, but the adjustment period was quick, and the arch support was fantastic. The material had the perfect non-shiny look and the seams added subtle accents over the black. Suffice to say, I loved them. And then the right shoe started falling apart. The left shoe was in perfect condition, but the sole of the right shoe - the brownish part - started peeling right off! I couldn't think of anything I'd done that would cause it, and right when I superglued the heel back on, the toe came off! Judging by the rest of the reviews, this isn't at all a common occurrence, so I can only hope that I'm an unfortunate exception.
