Oh my gosh! They’re like slippers, but much cuter! I like them even better with the white/beige laces.

Reading the reviews I opted for a 9, as I vary from 8.5 to 9. The nines fit well, don't slip off and have about a thumb's width distance from my big toe to end of the shoe. Most important the arch support in in the correct spot. I have to compliment the manufacturer, as even though I bought them to see if my custom orthotics would work, I don't think I will switch them out. The inserts are really great. Well made and cute - a nice break from my usual athletic shoes as I am plagued with bad feet.

Super cute but am exchanging for a half size larger. Even tho I am a pretty true size 9 these seemed a bit small. I will try a 9.5 but I'm afraid those will be too big. This brand of shoes may just not work for my feet, which is really too bad because I can tell they would be really comfortable in the correct size.

Super cute, low profile sneaker. I am returning them though as the arch support is a little to forward in the footbed for my foot. The sueda is a nice texture and the detailing of this style is very well done. I love the black line around the sole. The sole was very squeaky on my hardwood floors. Kinda' defeats the concept of a sneaker.

Really like the footbed on Taos sneakers, second pair. True to size, I add a footie for comfort. Wear well. Sometimes I switch out their removable inner sole for my Orthodics, even better. Thanks, Taos, for the suede! I'll be back for navy....or red ...

Love these shoes. I vary between an 8 and 8 1/2 in size; it was recommended that I size up in the description and I'm glad I did. The 8 1/2 fits perfectly, traveled a 9 hour day through three airports and not only are they stylish, they are also very comfortable. I had also ordered and returned a pair of Stars, the canvas was too stiff so they were returned. Very pleased to see these shoes now offered in multiple colors!

These are super cute! I was so happy to receive them. However, they run very big! The color, width and design are excellent. They were way too long. I am probably going to have to return them because of the length.

Black Retro Star: Because I moved from a 7-1/2 to a size 8 only in recent years, I ordered the 8, rather than sizing up. Not good enough. Still too short (so believe the folks who say this shoe runs small). And of course when I went back to get an 8-1/2 (or maybe even a 9), neither that size nor that color (black) was available. But very good arch support. And if you want a black size 8, the pair I purchased will shortly be back on the shelf.

In 30 years, I've only worn a size 8, until this shoe! These really do run small, I have Taos boots that are 8 and they are fine. These shoes have high arc support and are a bit stiff. They are a fine shoe, I really like the blue - so I'm keeping them.

These are even cuter in person than on the screen. I really, really wanted to keep them because they were exactly what I was looking for. However, they were painful in my left arch, sadly, which was probably due to the fact that my left foot is shorter than my right so the arch just didn't hit in the correct place.

Great shoe, but too narrow. I have four pair of the canvas Taos sneakers and love them. I size up from an 8 to a 9 for a great fit. I wanted to add the white leather pair for some longevity, but they are too narrow for my feet, and I rarely have that issue. After treating neuroma in my left foot recently, I didn’t want to chance re-injuring my foot. They are super cute, but painfully tight.

This shoe is cuter in the picture, but is still cute. It has a lower profile, less height, than it appears in the picture. The leather is beautiful and feels luxurious and is a rich black. Its extremely comfortable in spite of having a strong arch. I have other colors in this brand and style but this looks much more expensive than the canvas version.

I LOVED this shoe but unfortunately it does not come in a wide width. Just too narrow for me. It is really nice looking and well made, seemingly. I even considered trying to stretch it out, but realized that the seaming just would not work for that. So disappointed. I tried a half size up too, and still, too narrow. One thing i will say is that there is little in the way of cushioning, though there is a well made footbed. It's just too hard for me. Had a nicely molded arch support, but just wasn't soft enough.

Liked the shoes overall, but the leather was a little too stiff for me.

Love Taos footwear as it's very comfortable. These are very cute shoes and provide nice support. They are a little on the narrow side which sometimes bothers me if I'm doing a lot of walking.

I listened to the other reviewers and ordered a half size up. Perfect. Good room in the toe box. I didn’t like the arch support in the inserts (hit in the wrong spot) enough that I would have returned them, but my Vionic insoles fit the shoe really well so I kept them. I like the black leather and they came with black laces and an extra set in cream.

Arch support between moderate and excellent, but the heel dips down. So not good for plantar fasciitis, which is best with slightly raised or at least level heel. But they're cute and good quality. And I liked that not stark white soles like all the others on sneakers these days, hope that trend changes soon. This isn't letting me see my whole message so hope no major errors!

Pretty solid shoes. They are a bit tight around the toes, but are stretching out and feeling a bit better as time goes by. The arch support is fantastic and they look great!

First, these are really cute shoes. I really really like them and would love to keep them but they're killing my feet (bottom of my feet hurt). But I think my feet may not be compatible with any of the canvas shoes like this, vans, etc. Not sure what it is, perhaps they're too stiff? Fit: Saw some reviews that said they run small so ordered a 6 and a 6.5. The 6 fit but a little bit long. Comfort: I bought them so I could put my custom orthotics in but with my orthotics my feet sat too low and it rubbed my ankle bone and all around that part where the shoe ends. So tried it with the insoles in came with and the bottom of my feet feel like they're burning. So sadly I'll be returning them. Think I may need to go with true sneakers for my feet.

I'm usually a 7/7.5 and the 7.5 was too short on my foot. I'm sizing up to 8 because they are cute and versatile but wondering if they will be too big. I'm never an 8...

Of this type of shoe, this probably has the most arch support. Would work well for someone with a high arch. They were a little too pronounced for me. By contrast, the ball of the foot was extra hard and unforgiving. No room for a cushy extra insole.

Very cute and feel great. I recommend this and would purchase again.

Bought this to use as a walking shoe, something that would be a bit more dressy than an athletic shoe but that would work well for days of sightseeing and city walking. Overall I liked the look and quality of the shoe (not exciting, but good classic style). It was pretty comfortable but the canvas-lined inside of the heel rubbed the back of my ankle even when wearing a fairly cushy sock. My skin is pretty tender and a rub like that will often cause my skin to tear (I don't blister first - just tear), so I had to send it back. Guess I'm going to have to stick with a more cushy athletic shoe design. Based on other comments, I ordered the size 9 although I officially measure as an 8.5. The 9 was perfect, but I find I often need a 9 (not always, but often).

Really cute shoes with great arch support. Runs small. I usually wear an 8.5 to 9 and had to return for a 9.5.
